One small detail I think about a lot in Stormlight Archive is how Alethi isn't Shallan's first language. Sure, she knows it well, but it isn't her native tongue. Most of the people she interacts with (except her brothers) speak Alethi to her. She can go days without hearing or speaking Veden.
I wonder if she starts forgetting Veden. I wonder if she pauses when talking to her brothers trying to remember some obvious word, but only Alethi comes to mind. I wonder if she is annoyed in her head when there is a word that exist in Veden but has no clear analogy in Alethi and she can't use it because of it.

Bridal outfit heavily inspired by late 19th-early 20th century Imperial Russian court dress.

The skirts were long and full, the waist so tight that Sansa had to hold her breath as they laced her into it.”
