I voted warm because excess chaos energy probably radiates into heat/light (ex: chaos emeralds glow), and black arms probably have naturally high levels of chaos energy.

Me for both! They taught us all of the funky punctuation in 9th grade. The next year I had a teacher who prohibited semicolons because "nobody uses them right" and I HATED it. RIP y'all but I went to 9th grade.
"If you use em dash in your works, it makes them look AI generated. No real human uses em dash."
Imaging thinking actual human writers are Not Real because they use... professional writing in their works.
Imagine thinking millions of people who have been using em dash way before AI becomes a thing are all robots.

It's a good read, but it's just a bunch of random people talking about their personal experiences, and it should be treated as such.
It can present the inexperienced (trans women and their partners) with some new possibilities, but that doesn't mean every trans woman will enjoy them. These are things you CAN do, not things you MUST or even always SHOULD do.
View it as someone's Pinterest inspo board, not The Bible.
If you wanna fuck a trans girl you gotta [unrolls massive scroll]
Talk to her and find out what she likes. Hmm. That’s all it says.

Do not tarnish the good name of whump! /silly
(I follow both the original poster and the person I am reblogging from. No hard feelings!)
I agree that "whump" is a silly word, but people have been using it since the 90s, so it would be difficult to change.
Whump is a writing genre focused around hurt/comfort, though often more intense than the standard hurt/comfort fic. It includes both fanfiction and original fiction. It is not always sexual, and is referred to as "NSFWhump" when it is.
The main difference between sadism (also valid!) and whump is that sadism is done for the sake of (usually sexual) gratification, and whump is about giving sympathy to the hurt character and catharsis to the reader.
sexy genre of making characters needlessly suffer for your enjoyment and yet its called "whump" the unsexiest name in the world

I just finished taking a class on queer studies, and I talked to my professor about this as well.
Apparently, multiple of our texts were written by transmasc authors, but I didn't know until I asked the professor because they weren't about transmasculinity, and we never mentioned it in class. For example, Skin Shows by Jack Halberstam (or at least the section we read) generally discussed how monsters in gothic horror reflect reflect different types of bigoted stereotypes. We also watched a Dorian Electra music video.
The closest we got was Female Masculinity by Jack Halberstam, but it was written before the author came out as trans, and we only used the text to analyze cis women characters.
We definitely covered trans women and transfems more: Julia Serano's "Trans Woman Manifesto", Ethel Cain, SOPHIE, Laura Les, Arca, Paris is Burning. We also discussed trans women multiple times in class. None of this is a bad thing!
To be honest though, we talked about cishet women of color more than both categories combined.
Wish me luck for my Trans Studies class!
People are arguing at me that learning about transmasc oppression is a norm in queer studies classes, while learning about transfem oppression is not. Genuine question, are there really people who have had that experience? I ask because I graduated with a minor in the subject, and it seemed like the complete opposite for me.
The vast majority of what we were given was by/centered trans women—mostly Susan Stryker works, understandably, with our primary textbook in my trans studies class being one of her books—but the documentaries we were presented with were almost exclusively about transfemininity as well. At one point something we were assigned even uncritically called transmasculine invisibility a privilege. And this class was taught by a trans person who wasn’t a trans woman/fem. We obviously encountered the term transmisogyny in that course, but there was zero explicit recognition that transmasculine people can face sexism in their own way—a vital part of our experiences. Yes, we were assigned Feinberg’s Transgender Warriors in another of my queer history classes, but I remember it being a general trans history text covering trans women and other trans/gnc/etc. folks presumed male plenty, with nothing too specific about transmasculinity at all, just descriptions of Feinberg’s personal life. Folks have insisted that certain transmasculine figures are always in these classes, but sorry I had never once heard of Ivan Coyote before people bringing them up as a gotcha.

This might be my last post. We're counting on you.
48hr tumblr blackout proposal
tumblr mobile has seadily become near unusable these past few updates. not just from a user experience perspective (which is important enough in itself) but also from an accessibility perspective.
examples include the new way the image viewer works (if you can call it "working"), the tumblr live button replacing the profile button, and that newly created blogs will be forced to have their main dashboard tab be the 'for you' page.
the demands of the protest would be along the lines of:
reverse the recent image viewer update
scrap the new users 'for you' page default setting
let us turn off tumblr live indefinitely
increase efforts against spam / porn bots
make reporting abuse and hate speech as easy as reporting as reporting spam
let us go nuts show nuts again... for real this time
commit to improving usability and accessibility, and listening to users!
(suggestions welcome!)
to protest against these usability issues, and inspired by the recent reddit blackout, i propose a 48 hour blackout (where you don't use tumblr at all). preferably of both mobile and web (since web has problems too) but mobile is the focus here.
I suggest the 48 hours between the 30th of June to the end of the 1st of July.
this marks the end of pride month (for the "queerest place on the internet") and the start of disability month (since accessibility is a massive issue here).
tumblr office is in San Francisco, USA, so the times and dates will be calculated using their time zone (PDT).
you can find out the times and dates for your timezone here.
i can't afford to blaze this post so please spread it around as much as possible! protests only work if significant numbers show up!

I made another silly GIF of the dreamers. The frames were drawn in Firealpaca before being put together.

Have some nice angst! I started this drawing two months ago; It’s nice to see the finished product. I decided to go for a complimentary color scheme.
The flowering idea was inspired by @dailypurevessel Check them out!

I made a GIF! My favorite part is the bouncy cloaks. I actually traced the lines of the individual frames on paper, then digitally added color before combining the images into a GIF online.

I wanted to draw something in my sketchbook and practice my Japanese (I’m studying it in school) so I did one of those aesthetic doodle pages. I drew this using Microns and colored pencil with slight digital enhancement. Translation is below the cut.
(top left) Monomon the Teacher
(top middle) Q: “What is that?”
M: “This is Uumuu.”
Q: “They’re big, aren’t they?”
(top right) ooma
(middle left) uoma
(center) KASAA!
(middle right) Q: “Teacher is very nice.”
(bottom left) Q: “I brought the book.”
M: “Thank you!”
(bottom middle) Q: “There are many uomas.”
M: “Yes, there always are.”
(bottom right) Quirrel

I drew this in math class a while ago and kept forgetting to post it. It’s colored with highlighter and pen, and the glow effects are colored pencil.
