My roommate is using glue traps to catch mice that come and try to eat the dog food (because they have a problem with the dog food being inside the house). There was one in a trap this morning that I freed with oil and released into the woods nearby , although I got bit while doing it. While I was in my classes my roommate sent me a picture of another mouse in another trap. I texted them back and told them they should either kill it quickly or use oil to release it outside. I get home. “ did you kill it? “ “ yeah.” That’s surprising. “How?” I expected her to say that she did it with a razor or knife or even just crushed them to death quickly like a bug. No. They lied to me. They DID NOT in fact kill it. They threw it in the dumpster still attached to the trap. It will die eventually, but a slow , stressful death, struggling to free itself until it becomes too exhausted to move. wtf is wrong with people.

Am I weird for being pissed about this? It just seems so evil for no reason.
