so i have actually already done L and U, but i'll add on a drabble/extra hcs as a treat edit: added a read more

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Eren is a good dad. 100% a DILF

I see him wanting to adopt kids, considering his childhood and how that was how he found his dearest, closest friends.

He gets along with all his kid's friends, so everyone knows that the Jaeger household is the place to go for hang outs. He has a tendency to project the positive parts of his upbringing onto his kids, and since his friends were so important to him growing up, he wants to make sure his children have that same support system. Yeah, he wants to be in the know about his kids lives, but there's some things parents just don't understand. Does not help that he's incredibly good looking, even as he gets older.

Super supportive of his kids interests. Sports? Let's go practice! Academics? What's the quadratic formula? Gaming? Teach me how to play! Performing arts? At every single recital. He also doesn't mind if they change their minds constantly about what they do. They're kids, so it's good to have many interest while they still have the chance to feel things out.

Can be strict when he wants to be, though. Doesn't mess around with the safety of his kids and their friends. Tries his absolute hardest not to get angry at his children despite his temper and he really only does when it comes to their safety. But he was wayyyy more reckless when he was their age (and lacked parental supervision) so he tries his best to just keep them out of trouble instead of having to scold them when they do. I touched on him being a good apologizer in a different post and that's still true in the case of his kids. Always apologizes if he raises his voice at them, no matter what happens.

Also he is one of those dads that loves embarrassing their kids with PDA. He will wrap his arms around you from the back and pepper you with kisses while you're making dinner in front of your angsty 13 year old just to hear a "UGH DAD YOU'RE SO GROSS"

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

"(Name)," Mikasa calls, lightly jogging over to your seat the coffee shop Eren works part time in. You knew he didn't work that day, but you've gotten kind of used to studying in the seat closest to the barista counter, even if Eren isn't throwing cheesy pickup lines at you or ranting about a professor. "Have you seen Eren today?"

You shake your head no, raising an eyebrow at her distressed expression. She was one of the most caring people you've ever met, but her cool façade rarely broke, making your own concern skyrocket.

"Is he okay?" You ask, pulling out your phone to check for any messages left by your boyfriend.

The dark haired girl sigh, pushing her bangs out of her face as her short hair moves along to match the shaking of her head. "He does this every year, on the exact same day. Just... disappears and comes back like nothing happened. I hoped at least this year he'd stay with you... but..."

You bite your lip in concern, letting Mikasa know you'll call her if anything turns up.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Mmm, mildly. He doesn't wear makeup, but he takes good care of his skin (which is just naturally flawless anyways...), makes sure his clothes fit him well, keeps his combed and moisturized, and generally doesn't leave the house feeling very dissatisfied with his appearance.

On that makeup note, once he used an eyelash curler, either yours or Historia's and he was just. blown away. He already has naturally long, dark, curly lashes, he just thinks he looks really nice with the extra help of the curler. Too lazy to invest in doing it daily, though.

Keeps up with his physique because he's an athlete, but also because he just likes how he looks in tight tops and shirtless. Eren is one of those hot guys that knows that he's hot, he just doesn't really care that he's hot. Unlike Reiner, who just is insecure in how he looks, and Jean, who knows that he's sexy and flaunts it, he just... knows. He only really cares for your opinion.

No set clothing aesthetic that he makes himself stick to, just wears well fitting and neatly pressed clothes. Mainly black or dark basics. Keeps some jewelry if he wants to elevate an outfit. But his usual top, pants, shoes, maybe some earrings and a necklace if it's fancy. Doesn't get complicated with layering like Armin does.

I like to think he has a few piercings and tattoos, simply because he likes how they look. Not like a full sleeve because he is still a broke college student, but a couple tattoos on his arms and two or three piercings on his ears, plus a tongue piercing? I am down bad for him. I'd say his tattoos are pretty meaningful. Eren does everything he does, from choosing his major to eating cereal, with purpose. Even if it's dumb it has his heart and soul behind it. At least, that's what he says when he explains why he is going to put hot dog wieners in Jean's parents lawn.

modern au, again. also, i realize these arent very romantic lololol ohhhh well.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Helping out with Historia's volunteer club has gotten him pretty used to kids, but honestly half the time he floats off to the corner and doesn't really interact with them because they're so preoccupied with Connie and Sasha being... Connie and Sasha.

He actually does pretty well with older kids like 9-13 year olds, mainly his dad's friend's nephew Falco. He thinks Eren is like the coolest guy ever (next to Reiner. Sorry Eren you're not taking his spot any time soon lol) and Eren thinks Falco is really sweet.

I like to think that toddlers like Eren too, especially when he gives them those pretty smiles that light up his entire face. But he prefers to be with older kids if he can. Mainly because he's a little shit and can get them to do stuff for him.

The amount of times he has gotten Falco to run errands or do chores for him in exchange for ice cream (or like... Vbucks... do 13 year olds still play fortnite? I'm lost) only for the poor kid to never see said ice cream... uncountable. If he paid it all at once he'd be dead broke.

And despite Gabi fronting about hating him because him and Reiner aren't friends anymore, she enjoys hanging out with him and Falco because Eren doesn't really baby them as much as her cousin and his friends do. Those two butt heads like crazy, though. He literally doesn't call her by her name, he just calls her "Brat" or other variations.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

I'll talk about settling down more in the next letter, but Eren is like both the most messy and most clean person ever.

He's the type of person to let his environment reflect himself. If he's stressed, his room looks like a pigsty. When he gets angry, he purposefully makes messes, because punching a hole in the wall means he doesn't get his security deposit back. But when he settles down, he uses his skills picked up from cleaning the locker rooms and club rooms with Captain Levi for hours on end and makes his room spotless in record time. It's a talent.

Good at chores because he has flashbacks of Levi going "Oi, Jaeger brat... you think this is clean?" every time he's doing something. He procrastinates a lot though.

You know I came on here wanting to say he is a god awful, terrible cook, but I don't think so. I mean, it's just a practical life skill he has from not having parents for most of his life.

The problem with Eren's cooking is that he over seasons everything. He hates bland food so he can't tell when to stop. Like if a recipe calls for a teaspoon of chili flakes he's adding 3 tablespoons just for good measure. He will watch Jean put a whole head of garlic in something and chop up a small garden worth of herbs and still goes "that looks bland."

Really likes spicy food. If you have a low spice tolerance, don't count on him cooking. Poor Armin is already half dead.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

I don't think he'd want to get married. You guys could be together for 20 years and he still wouldn't propose.

He thinks it's dumb to define your relationship with a flimsy piece of paper, and that your value becomes too stringent on your partner when you're married. Plus, all the legal stuff, ugh such a bore. Literally the only thing motivating him to get married is being able to call himself your husband because he thinks its cute.

If you guys have a really long term relationship (like living together, kids, everything) he eventually just starts calling himself your husband even though you aren't technically married. No one is going to correct him anyways.

He would like a wedding though. Just because he thinks it'd be fun. Maybe like a commitment ceremony? His love for you is very personal, so he'll do whatever he wants. If he wants to literally throw a party and call it a "We Love Each Other, Kiss Our Ass!" celebration, he will.

Your children would have hyphenated last names. If the world's end is dependent on you marrying Eren Jaeger, he refuses to change his last name, and urges you not to either.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Short. Freaking. Temper. It's the easiest one to point out. And it's always been a prominent trait, only made worse by his rough childhood.

Eren's inner child is deeply hurt, and he thinks the best way to heal him is to just get pissed off. This, combined with his fiery and passionate personality, plus general recklessness just makes for a 6 foot tall, muscled, handsome ball of rage.

The best way to prevent Eren anger? Just nip it in the bud. You notice he side eyes you after you say something? Ask what you did. He's happy to tell you if you ask, but otherwise he just let's it build up and blows up on you.

He's a good apologizer though. Good balance of kind words and actions = happy relationship. It's just him having a hard time communicating with you, and he's eternally grateful for you helping him get better.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He cannot stand people with no conviction. If you're saying one thing to some people and other things to others just to fit in, he probably won't like you. Like, if you're a "popular kid" who likes nerdy shit, just fucking own it, stop being two faced. He doesn't like people who feel the need to hide who they are.

That doesn't mean he doesn't like shy people though. If you have trouble standing up for yourself, he's prone to step in and help you out. He just really doesn't like fake people.

Yes, he enjoys cuddling, especially because it's easy to multitask with. Reading a book but must shower the significant other in affection? "Lovely, come sit in my lap." Assignments to do but the partner is sad? "Lay your head on my thighs." Stressed but also tired? "Could you... play with my hair, please?"

I kinda brushed on this in this post but he puts effort into cuddling. He's not just throwing his limbs over you and calling it a day he's making sure everything is nice and neat and its warm but not hot and he gets to hold you really tight.

He's a perfect human body pillow if you just need something to hold.

That being said, sometimes he just wants to be held. He's very, very touch starved (I mean I feel like they all are--) but unlike his friends he's less prone to showing it. Like it takes a lot of pressure for Armin to crack and just ask you to pet him. So it's best to just scope it out.

Actually there is a scientifically proven method to asses the mental well being of your own personal Armin, it's called the "hand on cheek test" and is coveted by researchers of Arminology. Simply place your hand on your Armin's cheek.

If he lets out a surprised giggle and nuzzles into your touch, you're Armin is operating at average performance. Kiss his cheek and ask about his day to ensure smooth processing.

If he looks up at you with those big blue eyes and kisses your hands, your Armin is at peak performance. He probably has free time, ask him on a date.

If your Armin jolts out of his concentrated state, sighs loudly, and literally digs his face into your hand like his life depends on it, please make him a cup of coffee and play some calming music. Your Armin is at risk of mechanical failure.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Armin is an okay cook. He's no gourmet but he can throw something together if needed. Eating out is expensive so he opts to cook at home anyways.

I actually have a headcanon that the EMA household has a very distinct meal planning system. It fits into all of their lifestyles, Armin gets to make plans and lists, Eren gets to have a convenient meal, and Mikasa gets to rest easy knowing everyone is fed. Plus Eren and Mikasa are gym bros so they get to uhhh easily track their macros or whatever I don't speak fit.

As for cleaning he is just a neat person. Everything has a place and he puts it in it's place. I believe Armin is a fan of maximalism so his room can look kinda cluttered but its actually really pretty.

When you two move in together the chores are distributed based on who gets what done quickest. He doesn't move in with you until he knows you really well, so it's easy. It's the perk to Armin taking everything so slow, you're relationship transitions seamlessly.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

I think Armin would want to get married, yeah. He takes a while to fall for someone, but when he does, he falls so hard he practically cracks his head open.

Most of his relationships (not just romantic ones, but friendships too) have lasted very long due to his good communication so he's not very worried about getting divorced or falling out of love or anything.

Also I think he believes in soulmates. Not in a "you're the person I'm supposed to be with forever and ever" but in a "everyone I have loved completes my humanity" type way. Everyone he has loved, friends, crushes, friendly strangers, they have all become a part of who Armin is, so he treasures all of them.

Other than marriage, he's a very loyal guy. If you've past his "person I go on dates with" stage and get into that "partner" stage he is not even looking at any one other than you. And once you two hit a certain stage, he's constantly thinking of you, and you become an integral part to his life he doesn't look over. This part takes a while, but it's so worth it when you notice how he highlights quotes in books that remind him of you.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

He's so, so soft. He touches you like you're made of glass. It's not because he thinks you're weak or anything, that's just how he is with everything. Even washing the dishes or doing laundry, he treats every thing he touches really delicately. It's kind of just his nature.

He also sees his touches as a reflection of how he feels for you, so he makes an effort to be extra gentle with you. Even if he's squeezing you or applying pressure on a certain part of your body, it feels like feathers because Armin might just be an angel.

Despite this, Armin doesn't necessarily mince words. If he thinks you're in the wrong, he will tell you. He's not gonna just tell you you're dumb in a deadpan tone, but he won't sugar coat anything either. He also isn't the type to just take your side all the time because he's dating you.

The best way I can describe it is he is honest, not blunt. He'll say it in a kind way, but if he has a problem with you, he's going to tell you, because he loves you and wants to see you grow.

Eren is protective, not possessive. A big thing in your relationship is that you both feel respected enough to have the freedom to do what you'd like. He's never gonna be that guy that's like "Don't hang out with guys" or "Lemme go through your phone."

But if he feels like you're in danger, he's going to step in. If someone is hovering over your drink at a party while talking to you, he's marching over there and snatching it far away from them. Sometimes you get really annoyed at this because you just don't know what's going on, but once things start to click it's a big relief. He's always got your back.

This does not mean he does not have a jealous streak. He just won't bother you about it, instead opting to pout and complain about them or just straight up tell them to fuck off.

"Oh god, here we go again." You sigh, not looking up from your textbook. "Yes, Ereh, my shnookums pookie pumpkin peachy pie? What is bothering you sugar face doll prince cutie?"

"Ew." He scrunches his nose in response, shutting his phone off and inching towards you from his spot laid on his bed. You were wearing his swimming hoodie, the one with his last name written on the back. He likes when you wear it, reminds him that you're his and he's yours. That you care enough to let everyone know that you love him. "Have you talked to Floch recently?"

"That ginger from Reiner's party?" He nods in response, and you shake your head. "No, he was lowkey weird."

"I think he likes you."

"You think everyone likes me."

He wants to protect you from other people or other things, but he wants to be protected from his own thoughts and troubles. He wants you to hold his hand and tell him he was just a kid, he couldn't have saved her no matter how hard he tried. He wants you to hug him close and tell him she's proud of him. He wants you to remind him he's loved, that Mikasa and Armin trust him, that his friends aren't lying and you will always be there for him. That everything is going to be alright.

"Eren?" You ask, rubbing the sleep from your eyes as you desperately lower the brightness of your phone screen. "Are you alright, baby boy?"

"I... I dont think so. I don't think I'm alright," He responds, and you can tell from the scratch in his voice that he's been crying. "I'm outside your door, can you open it?"

You rush to your front door, only to find him stood outside in a dark colored hoodie and sweatpants, long hair out of it's usual messy bun and laying past his shoulders, his eyes red and his hands shaking.

"Oh, Ren," you whisper, holding your hands out for him to bury his face in your chest. He's quick to oblige, letting out a little sob. "What happened?"

"Got in a fight with Mikasa." He hiccups, leaning into your fingers as you run them through your hair. "Said some stupid stuff and now I really regret it. I think Armin heard too. I don't know why I keep fucking up like this, (Name). All she's ever done is be there for me."

You hum, holding him closer as you think about what he said. "Mikasa loves you, Eren. Armin too. I'm sure they were hurt by what you said, but they understand you better than anyone. They know why you do things you do. All you can do now is apologize and try your best to make it up to them."

His breathing starts to steady, and he looks up at you with those bright green eyes. You wipe away the tears with your fingers.

"It's all gonna be alright."

In public he prefers hugging over kissing. In private he likes a combination of both.

He hates side hugs. Thinks they're awkward, and if you're gonna hug him, just do it, don't make a silly half assed attempt. Only accepts them if you're gonna hold him like that for a while.

You mainly hug him from the back while he's doing something. If you're shorter than him, nuzzle your face into his back, he loves it. If you're taller than him, rest your head on his shoulder. Just give him back hugs. He loves them so much.

It's the perfect amount of intimacy without interrupting what he's doing. But he asks that you hold off on it if you're in front of his friends, since he doesn't wanna make things awkward (or listen to Jean and Connie cry about how they're single and lonely later...) but in public around strangers, he's fine with it. Give him back hugs while he searches for books in the bookstore.

He's not a hug initiator, to be honest, but he really loves them. They make him feel safe.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Very soft. Like throwing a rock in still water.

Kissing is communication for him. Most of his kisses are just soft pecks to replace his words (I love you, good night, have a good day). The more passionate kisses are meant to say things words can never seem to say (I cherish you, don't leave me, be with me forever). Armin doesn't ever feel an urge to yell at you or anything, which reflects in the gentleness of his kisses.

Armin is impulsive, he just is also very calculated. So when he gets these bouts of passion and huge urges to kiss you, he doesn't just straight up go for it and kiss you with all his might. He gives himself just enough time to simmer down so he can be gentle with you, but doesn't wait too long for the urge to die down.

He doesn't like kissing you on the lips in public, even if it's just a soft peck. He thinks its kinda embarrassing. Instead he opts for kissing your hands or forehead. Those are actually his favorite places to kiss you, anyways, so it works out.

He also really likes kissing your neck. It's strangely domestic and you smell really good.

He likes getting kissed on the cheek or his fingers. Play with his hands and give each of his fingers tiny kisses. K.O.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

The man has lived with Eren Jaeger for most of his life. Patient is an understatement.

The easiest way to piss Armin off is to insult people he holds dear to him (aka his friends and you). But he's also not the type of guy to get in a bar fight because some drunk guy called you something rude (that's more an Eren thing). The opinion of strangers means nothing to him. It's more when people he trusts suddenly change their tone.

Most of the time when someone pisses him off he doesn't show it in an effort to not make a scene. He'd rather keep it bottled up and complain to you later, or keep quiet and take them down in another way, like recording it and showing a dean to get them kicked off a sports team or something.

He does that thing where he absolutely obliterates someone who pisses him off while having a bright smile on his face. Like once, a girl he knew answered a question incorrectly in class, and some random guy went "That chick is so dumb. Girls should stop acting like they know what the fuck they're talking about and go back to the kitchen." And while he's snickering away, Armin just replies "Oh, if you know so much, why don't you show the rest of us? I'm a bit confused myself, actually..." with the biggest smile on his face.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Armin is not terrible with kids, but no where near great. Growing up with no parents and having his grandfather die at such a young age led him to grow up fast, so he can't really relate to kids and what they... do.

Like he will see a baby and just talk normally to it. After doing some reading on why baby talk is important, he makes an effort to babble more to them but he really struggles. Or when he's with Gabi and Falco he asks them about quantum physics and Gabi is just like "uhhh I like fortnite."

He really tries. And it's not like he dislikes being around them, he just struggles, and kids don't really like him much either.

Also he cannot stand IPad kids. He blames it more on the parents then on the kids, because they're just kids, but one of his biggest peeves is crying, whiny children with snot on their bright blue silicone cases, eyes glued to a screen instead of dealing with the world. Since he is Armin, he's still polite and gentle with them, but the minute you're out of earshot he's complaining about it for a good 30 minutes.

In terms of his own children, he's actually a really good parent. He did a lot of research on how to raise kids well and he does his best to make sure his kids get what he couldn't in terms of upbringing. He's some what distant? Like his kids aren't ranting and raving about their new crush to their dad, but there's a really good bond between them and they go to him whenever he needs anything.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Armin is prone to telling a little white lie to get what he wants.

In general, he's subtly manipulative. Not in like an abusive or generally scummy way, but in a... human way. We all use manipulation to get what we want, in the end. Like puppy dog eyes or pouting.

He's always transparent about what he's doing, and it's not like he's causing any harm to you. In fact, most of the time its for your own good. Like if you're feeling a bit self conscious, he'll pretend not to notice until you manage to work up the nerve to think better of yourself, stuff like that. Or if something is bothering you, he'll figure out a way for you to bring it up instead of him so you get better at communication. He'll come clean after his little rouses work, but sometimes you wish he'd just tell you what he was doing as he was doing it.

He also takes a while to even consider you a priority. Even though his whole thing is taking your relationship slowly, you're quick to find out that he may call you his partner, but you're under school work, work, family and friends in the "Armin's Important Stuff" scale. He's not an easy shell to crack, so it's kind of expected, but unless you confront him, he will not even realize that he's doing wrong.

Chronic nail biter. Even when he's not nervous.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

On a scale of "beauty guru" to "horrendously stinky" he's a "I care for aesthetics."

He's got a very distinct dark/light academia (depends on his mood) aesthetic that he must keep up. His clothes are always ironed, never tattered, and though most of it is second hand he looks very put together and sometimes even expensive.

But in terms of beauty, it's not his priority at all. He likes the way he dresses because it makes him feel like he's ready to take on the day, and he showers everyday for obvious reasons, but he doesn't wear makeup, and his skincare routine is just washing his face and sunscreen.

Speaking of skincare, he has effortlessly flawless skin and hair. So smooth, so silky, and he barely puts in effort other than the basics. You're convinced it's because he's blessed by the gods, but he says its because he gets enough sleep every night.

His hair grows back super fast, so he has Mikasa cut it since he can't afford to go to the hair dresser so often. He liked the long hair as a kid, but now he finds it annoying, so he keeps it neatly cropped. She's a good hairstylist.

He's also... surprisingly ripped. He looks super skinny but he's got abs for days. Unlike most of his friends, only works out for mental clarity, and not muscles or gaining strength, so he's not like huge and bulky but he's pretty fit.

He doesn't like overly judgmental people. It's only natural for people to assume things, but people who dedicate their free time to just assuming things about people annoys him to no end. Also, playing into Armin our semi-pretentious angel trope, he prefers a well read partner. Someone who he can make references too or will take his recommendations of classic literature, or maybe even watch ocean documentaries with him. They don't have to like every last thing he likes, and if they just haven't been exposed to things he won't mind at all, they just have to be open minded and not write off things he enjoys as "nerdy shit."

Piggy backing off that, he wants someone who somewhat cares about their academics. They don't have to be the next Einstein, or a straight A wonderchild like him, but rich brats who's parents are paying for their schooling just for them to party annoys him. It's not fair that he has to work so hard to keep his scholarships and other students are working hard to pay their tuition just for people to come because their Mommy and Daddy said so.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

Armin falls asleep at 11 pm and wakes up at 7 am, without fail. It's amazing. You question if he's even a college student.

He uses an old fashioned alarm clock that's at the opposite side of his bed, but sometimes he wakes up on his own and forgets to turn it off, making him run out of the shower to stop the ringing before his roommates wake up.

Before you two started dating, he just slept on his side. But once you two got close, he can't sleep without hugging something if you're not spending the night.

When you do spend the night, he likes being little spoon, or facing you and having you nuzzled in his chest (or vice versa, he's not picky).

He's quite a neat cuddler. No limbs haphazardly thrown over you or anything. His legs are very gently intertwined with yours, he has his arms in a very specific spot to make sure you're comfortable, and he doesn't snore or anything.

Sometimes he sleep talks. Very rarely, though, but when you catch it, it is the funniest thing ever. He has really wild dreams for such a down-to-earth person— you caught him babbling about turning into a 150 meter skinless giant once. Weird.

ohoho clever. also this is all modern au 😭 i didnt even realize until i finished. feel free to re-request for a different au or canonverse! i think i default to modern au because i want everyone to be happy.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Armin is really affectionate, but in a somewhat subtle way. He's not a fan of huge PDA or grandiose romantic gestures. Instead he'd rather have small ways to show his love for you in ways only the two of you would understand.

But it's also not so subtle that people think he's cold. Everyone knows you two are smitten with each other, but he just prefers to keep things private.

For example, when he's in an antique store he'll pick up some jewelry he thinks you'd like. Or when he's strolling through an art museum alone, he'll send you photos of paintings he thinks you'd like. He gives you personalized book recommendations, helps you study, holds your pinky as he walks through hallways. It's all really cute but not super aggressive like some of his friends.

He gives you a really gentle smile he reserves for you specifically. Armin is generally a bright guy, but he has a specific smile where it reaches the bottom half of his eyes and he looks like he has huge hearts in his eyes and everyone around you just knows.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

On your 5th date, you went to an arboretum. He'd been casually getting to know you after you asked him out. He honestly can't remember why he said yes when you asked him. He doesn't really make impulse decisions, but some weird mix of peer pressure, free food, and how cute you were made him think 'Eh, why not.' So you two have been taking it rather slow on account of Armin's nerves, and have been acting more like friends than people who are dating.

When your excitedly pointing at some pretty tree you know absolutely nothing about, Armin Arlert realizes he has it bad for you.

He treasures it because it's a sort of turning point in your relationship.

Armin is not huge for social media. He obviously has accounts because it is the 21st century but he has all the notifications off and rarely posts or checks his accounts. Because he is a pretentious hipster, he carries around a disposable camera and keeps a photo album of you two to keep the memories. He has a polaroid camera too, and he keeps a photo of that day in his phone case.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Armin, unlike your average college student, is not a procrastinator. Instead of staying up late to scramble and finish assignments, he actually gets enough sleep and wakes up fairly early.

So usually he's out of bed way before you. He'll take 10 or 15 minutes just to hold you and appreciate the silence, but then he's out of bed and making breakfast. He'd rather be with you when you're awake. You usually just waddle behind him when you wake up and give him back hugs.

In the rare case he does sleep in, you are not getting out of that bed unless you wake him up. He has a freakishly strong grip for someone so soft spoken.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

Oh it takes him a while. Way after he starts calling you his partner, and he doesn't start calling you his partner until after 8 or 10 dates.

He likes taking things slow. He's young, he's got time ahead of him, and he just really wants to know.

And also, he's a bit of a closed off person. Despite how warm he seems to be, he has a lot of walls that take a long time to climb over.

He says it one day when his head is rested on you lap, the two of you watching a movie on a Friday night when Eren and Mikasa are at some party. He stops paying attention halfway through and starts staring at you, and it just... slips out.

You knew, though. It just took him a while to admit it.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Armin, in true nerd fashion, does not spend the night outside of his home if he has class the next day. So you only see him at nights on weekends.

At the early stages of your relationship, he comes over to your place, unless Eren and Mikasa are out and then you come to his. Half of it is him being closed off and being scared to introduce you to the only family he has left, and the other half is the fact that Eren will shamelessly show you middle school photos and compare Armin to Coconut Head from Ned's Declassified. But after a while, you start alternating.

If you're staying in, you two silently do assignments for an hour or two, then do something fun, like read a book or watch a movie. You really like when he just reads to you. It's calming. He should read audio books.

If you two are out, you two are more likely to just chat and then crash the minute you get home. He's not really a night owl.

sure thing anon! your brain is huge. i started a one shot which is now sitting in my drafts bc i literally dont know how to finish it. maybe i'll post it later but for now here you go headcanons woohoo

eren and jeans dynamic makes it look like its impossible for them to share a girlfriend but it actually? works surprisingly well?

arguing is kinda their love language in a very strange weird way. if theyre not fighting somethings wrong but their like constant bickering actually is rlly important to you three's relationship lmfaooo a lot of communicating is just eren and jean fighting and then you pick up on something they say and you three talk it out. plus its gets all their energy out at the end of the day... like when puppies run around in circles bc they didnt go on long enough walks

jean is the planner of the couple, always making sure you guys get tickets to see this that and whatever, always figures out how ur gonna get places and when everyone will be picked up, makes sure everyones schedules are free and that theres no big game release that you'll miss and eren doesnt have work and jean isnt volunteering

in terms of nerdiness jean is a decent middle ground between you (who says "ummm actually..." unironically) and eren (who thought dungeons and dragons was a kinky thing) because he lives with connie so he gets roped into playing stuff like rainbow six seige and watching battlestar galactica into late hours of the night. also he's an only child who was prone to boredom as a kid so he played video games like any other only child. that being said he has a more extroverted personality and aptitude for sports so he just never got as absorbed in it as you did

this kind of makes eren jealous tbh because he thinks jean has more to relate with you then him. but jealousy is like a natural feeling and despite his feigned reluctance jean is happy to share his knowledge with him.

plus eren realizes that what he lacks in video game and movie knowledge he makes up in anime bc jean is clueless on that front. once you went on this huge rant about how sailor moon would decimate goku in a fight and jean just goes "gokus the pirate with the fox spirit, right? hes trying to become number one pro hero right?"

speaking of eren eren and jean are on the same volleyball team (i hc they play volleyball bc theyre tall but i think theyd be cute on any sports team because im weak hearted) and you become their fave cheerleader <3 they look for you in the stands before each game and have their own little ritual for good luck. when he spots you jean jumps really high (despite the team captain, levi screams at him to save it for when the game starts) and makes a heart with his arms and blows you a kiss when he gets in the air and its so embarrassing so eren just dogpiles the embarassment but giving you an over exaggerated wink its the worst theyre gross

jean gets you into connie's discord server after you complain that people are really rude to you in online games and eren is quick to demand an invite too even though he literally plays nothing and has no idea how discord works. he will log in and ping you to show you a meme and even though connie's server is really chill with rules (like 10 ppl max, just some friends hanging out) he has always wanted to say "no memes in general" so he does it every time. you have to show eren how to use private messages once connie jokes abt eren being his discord kitten.

cuddle pile while watching movies... jean is a film buff so you three have movie nights rlly often. its usually you sandwiched in between them with jean behind you and eren in front of you so you can play with his hair. jean's movie taste is actually really broad and you and eren both find a ton of new favorites through him.

they both really like listening to you ramble. you can explain soooo much lore abt your fave series and theyre both really invested. eren is more invested in the characters while jean is more focused on what happens next, but theyre both listening rlly well and making sure you know they care. they kinda care in different ways though? while eren is just passionate and because he's so passionate he must know about all things you like, jean is either interested or just likes hearing your voice. of the two jean is more likely to give you short answers and he'll be more dozed off so he's good to go to when you just want to rant. eren is going to ask you more questions and get wayyy more confused so he's good to go to when you want to explain or flesh out your points.

jean finds eren's jealousy of fictional characters sooooo ridiculous. whenever eren is pouting about some new video game guy youre in love with jean is rolling his eyes because of course its eren jaeger he's just looking for things to get angry at. "what are they gonna do idiot, come out of the tv?" but then one day there's a character that looks a lot like eren and suddenly he understands everything. but he realizes you have a thing for guys with long hair. he'll keep the mullet around for a while

they both really like having you sat in their laps and (unbeknownst to you) in order to avoid conflict they created a system. cozy game? eren. reading? jean. watching anime? eren. watching something live action? jean. playing a game on your phone? eren. watching an analysis video for your favorite franchise? jean. just messing around on your computer? rock paper scissors, best of three. eren likes to hug you tight and rest his head on your shoulder while talking to you. when it gets quiet he'll nuzzle his face in your neck and give you small kisses there. while jean likes to put his hands under your shirt and rest it on your stomach while you two chat. he's puts his head on your head or throws it back depending on your height and kinda just likes letting his hands wander, like rubbing up and down your arms or tickling you lightly.

you: i hate this stupid game

eren: yeah babe that game fucking sucks (has never played it in his life)

jean: then stop playing it?

you and eren, at the same time: what? no.

all in all they are good boyfriends 10/10 would recommend.

“Reiner Braun is most definitely a jockey.”

Armin slumps down a bit. Okay, most of them are good people. Most of the time. Look, Reiner is the exception, not the norm, but even he could be analytical and composed when he needed to be. 

“I’m going to tell him you said that,” Armin threatens.

“Fine, then I’ll tell him that you almost leaked his nudes to the entire girls volleyball team freshman year.”

“You play dirty,” Armin pouts, face growing red at the memory. (In his defense, it was freshman year, pretty much the first time in his life he’d had alcohol unsupervised, and in his drunken haze he thought he might have been doing Reiner a favor; he was pining over Christa pretty hard). “Which is exactly why you’ll love Eren!”

“Eren, still?” you question, trying to hide the amusement in your tone. “What’s the infatuation with me and Eren? You know, if I’m being honest, Jean is more my type, or even the captain—what’s his name again?”
