🔺Core Concept - The Ark Initiative 🛰️🚀👩🏽‍🚀🚀🛰️ 2241 Mankind was met with the realization that life on Earth was longer sustainable after the geological and environmental attacks of the 22nd century. Fresh water had become increasingly scarce, and the climate had become erratic, creating weather that threatened more than coastal cities. The Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) had nearly halted, raising sea levels dramatically. The many wars for land and resources had collapsed the global economy more times than markets could recover from. AI was transformative in keeping the geopolitical environment stable but was soon deemed untrustworthy after massive military intervention. The most disruptive and disturbing aspect of the last generation on Earth was the failing electromagnetic field, threatening mankind itself. The Ark Initiative was set forth in 2241 as the final act of peace and was soon adopted throughout all cultures harmoniously. 🔺8th Side - STACK 8 🏢☁️🏭☁️🏢 A place of feuding corporate interests and dull uniformity. ☁️💧☁️💧 STACK 8, was designed for airspace. Unlike all other STACKS, The 8th adopts more of a grid plan for Ariel flight. (Flying Vehicles) A vertical city of airways and rusted platforms. ☁️💧☁️💧 There is no shuttle line here and their mechanical levels are above behind their skybox. Eroding infrastructure and faulty makeshift wiring keeps springing leaks in the worn pipelines overhead. The showers can be considered aesthetically pleasing but are extremely carcinogenic. ☁️💧☁️💧 The manufacturing district has little room for leisure aside from a few seedy bars. The obsession of status and what’s visually striking breeds prejudice, but also a social pressure to the corporate path to order. This is not to say crime isn’t prevalent. Even murder isn’t uncommon but to dwell on such unpleasantries is frowned upon. ☁️💧☁️💧 Ground level was visible once, now plastered with holographic projections and Index portals. Their constant attempts to overthrow the balance of drug markets on STACK 7 have earned them few allies. Lead singer "ZED" was never a gang leader, but his loud signal made him a player in the gang's hierarchy. - Little is known about how they operate as an organization, but they are known to handle corporate bounties discreetly. They also offer protection to anyone with XP. They run an independent drug operation with The Cycle Knots and usually stay out of sight, allowing no combination of colors to represent their movement. - Being a member of The Rez has a mysterious allure, but they still seem like a death cult to most inhabitants of Arkadia, including fans of the massive band, Chord Zed. They are obsessed with literature on death and the afterlife, and their noticeable interests include hallucinogenic mycelium and ancient fauna. A: Yes and No 🌎Earth:3054 Arkadia, a subterranean Arcology supporting descendants of the Surface Wars. (Scroll Down for more Lore ) - 🏚️🏭STACK 4🏭🏚️ ———————————— STACK is for electrical and mechanical management. It’s where the fusion core is located along with a hub of main arteries of the power and life supply systems. 🚽 It is also known to smell as pleasant as the level above (STACK 3) due to the troubled inhabitants that call it home. 25% of the people who live on the stack above (stack5) are trained for years to work the 4th and an additional 25% are trained to provide them with security on send outs. These jobs for Kade are sought after and have a certain nobility compared to most job opportunities below STACK 8 but it is extremely dangerous. ⚠️ It was originally designed to house the workers and management of facilities but the homelessness crisis of both STACK 4 and STACK 5 buckled the people's will to live on Stack 4. It soon became a heaven for the fringe elements of society and the mentally ill. The work still must be done on Stack 4 though, that is if people want to keep the lights on and the water following. 🚧🗜️⚙️🚧 ————— Home to: 🤡The HA HA’s It’s hard to separate fact from fiction with The Ha Ha’s. 🔺Sink or Sim - . . 🧱 - 🕹️👾STACK 6👾🕹️ STACK 6 Is a mix of residential flats, secondary offices, manufacturing plants and privately leased places of business. 🛖📹🛖 👾This is where R.Kade relies on inhabitants of STACK 6 to remotely operate the servicers, drones, ariels and play-bots of the lower levels. 👾The level directly below STACK 6 (S7) rarely see’s the handy work of R.Kade aside from the R&R time for high earners in outdated Play-Bots. This labor is a form of augmented reality and marketed as entertainment. To the player, a high speed chase through halo ring of Jupiter, in reality, a 8th sider needed a ride for a dinner date. No one the wiser. Sure the AI dose most the work, but it’s the busy work that counts for QP! (Qualifier Points) 🪙 👾Most of the center ringlets are a dingy, over policed area filled with hand me down equipment retrofitted for practical use. “You can find anything on STACK 6“ is a common phrase due to the amount of specialty workers that repair or build custom items out of used appliances or salvaged gear. The dystopian aspects of Arkadia as well as Kade Corp security forces are on full display here, almost everywhere you look, a “Eye of Arkadia” looks back at you. - Fun fact, the Red Eye of a Kade Corp officer is not just a symbol of power. It’s capable of highly sophisticated scans and date retrieval. But mostly used to fine Arkadians out of hard earned XP.
