okay hear me out. I use to browse through this page often. I really like it. If you're pagan in the Czech republic, Poland or Slovakia, it may be more familiar to you by its content and that you have access to this page in your land.
It's a page like a blog, with holidays, tips, health and recipes as well. It's dedicated to Slavic paganism but you can see even Celtic and witch articles which is nice that this page doesn't exclude any of your fellows
You can translate it in Google Chrome into English if you don't understand Czech.
pagan cauldron - recipes, cuisine ↓
for advanced/rituals-basics about paganism and articles about rituals and experiences from life of our friends↓
feminine mystery- dedicated to health ↓
paganism in our country and in the world - educational and Informational
MAIN PAGE↓
also I really like this e-shop that has products with pagan motives and metal, I haven't bought anything yet (because I'm broke) but I'm thinking about one shirt with Morana for winter holidays )))

well I was migrating from one family side to another every week
one part was going to the catholic church
one part was going to Christian church
one was extremely strictly atheist and was mocking me for believing in ghosts
and the one part where I was most of the time I think was spiritual and believing in slavic mythology (Vodník, Meluzína, bludičky, doves being souls of ancestors..) but they called themselves atheist cuz they haven't converted to anything
I used to go to church sometimes for the quiet there was and because I think jesus is nice but I don't like Christianity at all and I prefer connection to nature and our ancestors in Slavic paganism
pagans, i'm curious: what religion did you grow up in? how did you come to find paganism as something that fit you?

daily reminder that if you complain about the “tolerant left” not tolerating you, IT’S PROBABLY BECAUSE YOU CREATE AN INTOLERANT WORLD FOR OTHERS.
if you’re an intolerant individual, i’m not going to tolerate you.
i don’t give a fuck if what your religion, race, sexuality, gender, etc is. however, if you’re a bigot, i do give a fuck, and you’re a piece of shit.

Going full caveman with the berries rn. Berrypicker as fuck. Reset to default settings, I am engaged in species-typical behaviour. Eating a bowl of berry mush for breakfast, another bowl for lunch. Going back out there to gather another haul to bring home to our neighbour, who asked me to get her one.
I am three days without AC access away from making a flute out of a deer femur and going into the woods to grow feral.

some photos of today.
we were on a trip(in forest) and there were over a hundred butterflies if I would count them but I am not chronically on the phone so I didn't take a photo but then I was sitting on a bench(in the city where's the forest) and there was a teeny tiny bug and on road back on train was pretty cool moss
and typically cuz I like bird feeding and bird watching I took photos of this not-so-photogenic dove

tell me about Rodnovery (rants are welcome!!)
So, hi! I'm so HAPPY to rant about Rodnovery.
To be honest, it had been quite some time as a post on my list, but I just never really sat down to write it all down. That will be a hell of a ride, so bear along.
Now, another important disclaimer!!! Even though I tried to do a very deep and thought out research on everything, I haven't really read the original sources(there aren't many) or actual scientific documents. All I know is purely from many and many sites and videos on the subject. I did try to write down only stuff that wasn't mentioned in just one source, but you know how quickly misinformation spreads. So NOT MISINFORMATION FREE
The info is underneath the cut:3
Now, we can get to the subject.
The first and foremost part of Rodnovery, is that there are a lot less sources than about Hellenism for example. That is due to the lack of literal ability to write for Slavs at the time. It is also important to note that Slavs didn't have a centralised religion. No temples, no priests, small tribes scattered all around eastern europe.
That means an important difference with hellenism — Slavs didn't have a pantheon. Now, for better understanding l might still use that word, but it's important to note anyway. The reason was simple, because there was no country, no temples, no authorised people of religion(priests/etc).
Even more so, that IS why in 988 the king of the biggest slavic kingdom at the time, decided to convert the kingdom to Christianity. The kingdom was simply divided by different tribes worshipping different gods.
The next part is — The common beliefs.
So, the difference that I find fascinating, is that Slavs were very close to nature. Like, incredibly so. If Hellenism is built on centralised worship of gods, in slavic folklore the gods are a rare occurrence. The everyday worship of Slavs was dedicated to the Spirits or as we know from Hellenism — Daemons.
The world in the eyes of Slavs was similar to Norse beliefs — a big oak tree, the green crown of it the clouds, on top of which there was Prav’(or Pravia), the Kingdom of gods. Lower on earth there was Yav’(or Yavia), a home for humans, and in the roots there was the Underworld — Nav’(or Navia) with Veles, the god of death, usually shown as a serpent.
Next let's start with Gods.
Now, as I said there are different places, with different gods, but there were ones that were mentioned almost everywhere.
Svarog — The primary god. Connected to fire, steel, equivalent to Hephaestus, but in the place where Kronos would be.
Perun — The king of the gods, very similar to Zeus. The interesting thing is that in Ukraine and other more southern slavic countries, Perun was very similar to Zeus, the primary god, with lightning and thunder as the main domain, but also law, order, war, and other. BUT in the northern parts of slavic countries straight to the Balcans, Perun becomes more like Thor, losing his primary place.
Veles — Some say he's Perun’s brother, some say just his enemy. The god of the Underworld, Cattle, wild animals, and a ton more. He is said to fight Perun constantly in the eternal battle of Order and Chaos.
Mokosh’ — The wife of Perun, the queen of Prav’. She is the goddess of fertility, motherhood, summer and harvest. The mother of Yarilo and Morana(Marzanna).
Yarilo — A male equivalent of Persephone. He is the god of life, fertility and spring. As the god of life, he never had sacrifices that included death. Was kidnapped by Veles as a child, and some myths say Perun fought Veles to get his son back. Yarilo is a reborn god. He dies when the winter starts and reborns every spring.
Marzanna(Morana) — The goddess of winter, frost. Sometimes also is considered as a goddess of Death, probably because at the time every winter took a lot of lives. Some sources state that she's married to her brother Yarilo. Marzanna is also a reborn deity, dying every spring and reborning every autumn.
Of course, technically, there are a lot more gods. Those who I listed were the ones who I saw in a lot of different sources. I will definitely make a part about all of the ones that I could find.
AND NOW we get to the most important part of the Rodnovery worship — The Spirits.
The Spirits were usually portrayed as mythical creatures and folk characters. I won't go too much into details, cause it will be too much, and I might also make another part on them.
The Spirits were the most important part of the worship. Even though gods had idol statues and were celebrated on their festivals, the everyday offerings/prayers were dedicated specifically to spirits.
That was due to spirits looking over the larger part of human life. In every house there was a Domovik.
It was a mischievous creature, portrayed close to a gnome. It was believed that Domovik could burn your house, if you won't please him, so people left milk in an offering to him every evening, so that he'll take care of the house.
Leshy — The spirit of the forest. It was believed that if you would upset him, he'll make you get lost, and if you please him, he'll guide you out.
Mavkas/Rusalkas — The spirits of water. They lived in seas, rivers and lakes. They had a lot of different sources. Some say they would feign drowning and that's how they drown people, some say they come out of the water and chase you to the forest where they would tickle you to death.(The second one I am very familiar with as a Ukrainian.)
There are a whole lot of other spirits and folk characters, so I might do a bigger masterpost on them specifically. As well, I'm looking forward to making a post about slavic witchcraft, as it is quite interesting and different by its culture.

Shout out to pagans who have a romantic relationship with their deities and others don't believe them.
Shout out to pagans who have sexual relationships with their deities and are judged or attacked for it.
Shout out to pagans who have a parental relationship with their deities and don't feel taken seriously or belittled by others.
Shout out to pagans that are aro-/ ace- spec and feel uncomfortable with the idea of bringing romance or intimacy into relationships with their deities.
Shout out to pagans who see/hear/feel their deities and are called crazy or mentally ill for it.
Shout out to pagans who cannot sense or feel their deities at all and feel left out or disconnected from the community.
Shout out to pagans who are mentally ill and have a hard time knowing if something is real or not and aren't sure how exactly their relationship with their deities is.
Shout out to pagans who are chronically ill or disabled and feel like they can't do as much for their deities as they'd like to/as other pagans.
Shout out to young and new pagans who have no idea where they're at with their deities.
Your relationship with your deity is uniquely your's. It's beautiful and it's valid. You're a pagan, and the pagan community is your community, no matter what part of the spectrum you fall onto.

I'm still, still, still wondering about some tattoo that would represent our culture, our traditions, our art and our nature but I haven't found the right one that would make my heart beat quickly. Haven't found one that would speak to my heart and soul yet
edit: the pictures I found interesting to maybe use as a tattoo once. patterns and ornaments.

my mother just told me that when she is at night shift at work and she has a break, she goes to the changing room and sleeps on cartons-
(it's normal in her job. when they have work done they just go to sleep and don't care about the boss)
-and she said that when she lay down, she hear someone talk, like a voice from a coworker from different shift. But that coworker isn't there cuz as I said, different shift.
it happens to her every time when she is there alone. When she goes here with a friend, she hears nothing.
She said it sounds like someone was talking really like a real human but very quickly so she doesn't understand the words.
Does anyone know what it could be and if it is possible to connect to it?
both me and my mother have a spiritual connection and the ability to communicate with some souls/entities. We were once in meditation and the lady who sacrificed her life to spirituality (her husband too) told us both that we have that gift but that my mother is ignorant to pay attention to it. Which is true because she is lazy and has adhd.
Is there any way to get closer to it for her?
I myself don't wanna encourage into the communication with them at all because last time I was practising it I had sleep paralysis for months and was hearing voices and radio as if it was real. I had to light white candle every day for the whole year and use burning herbal sticks and salt.
My mother is more protected from the negative entities than me.

i feel it
i don't wanna argue with people from my country
sometimes using a word of mine? sure but never the whole text. we can learn words from each other slowly without craving the attention of idiots from our lands haha
Normalize writing posts in other languages and requiring English users to translate them via apps, skill, etc. Why do I say this? Because this is a common experience for non-native English speakers (who aren't fluent in English) online that many native English speakers don't often stop to consider. There is a forced necessity to only use English in the modern world that detracts from the beauty inherent in language diversity.
