Dead poets society x Gravity falls

Hear me out. In a modern era, would the poets like gravity falls? The answer, your honor, is yes they fucking would. So let me just mix my two favorite pieces of media together and explain this shit i came up with at 2 am last week.

Neil and Charlie would be the BIGGEST fans in the group. They never missed a single episode when it was first being released and they would watch it together in Charlie's house when they were 11 or something. They were obsessed, they talked about it all the time with each other and with other people, which almost drove their parents mad. Charlie's parents got him all the canon books (like the journal and the guide to mystery and the tales of the strange and unexpected, EVERY SINGLE ONE) and it was pure joy when Neil went to his house and they would go over the books and act out the characters and scenes from the show (one of the things that made Neil discover how much he loved acting).

They went as gravity falls characters for Halloween more than once and probably tried to convince everyone to have a summerween. Even after the show ended they still watched the reruns when they could and like dude this show never gets old.

Now, I think Meeks and Pitts also watched it together but they had no idea it existed until the show ended and it was on streaming platforms or smth. And then one day they started watching it together because it looked interesting. They finished the whole thing in less than a week.

Or well actually, binge watching the whole series would have taken less than a week, but it took them twice of that time because they just couldn't stop pausing it ALL THE TIME to discuss over the lore. They took that shit seriously, like everytime a detail was revealed or they noticed something in the background they were like "WAIT DID YOU SEE THAT?" and just wrote it all down and come up with their own theories, and like rewinding the episodes because remember that thing this character said at the beginning? No waaay. These guys are educated on gravity falls lore.

Todd watched it as a kid when the show was still being released, but he watched it alone in the living room of his house. He was a big fan, though he never really talked about it with anyone, except for his brother. He tried to get Jeffrey to watch some episodes with him but it was hard to find the time since he was too caught up with his studies at welton, but he would listen attentively to Todd ranting about the plot of the last episode he watched.

I think Todd was more focused on the characters rather than the story. He was really invested in the mystery and all but what really stood out to him was how even with a whole plot behind, the characters were portrayed so realistically, like they actually acted like kids that wanted to have fun in their summer. It was his comfort show for a reason, he envied the family and friendship connections between the characters and wished so badly to have people like that in his life. Used to write self insert fanfiction and would rather die than ever admitting that.

Alr but

Knox and Cameron never watched the show. Maybe Cameron has heard about it before but Knox has no idea what that is (because to me he's the kind of person who seems to be living under a rock and knows nothing about pop culture whatsoever). And then on a random day they're talking with the rest of the poets about literally anything when someone brings it up and they're like "yeah gravity falls is an amazing show" then Knox goes "What's that?" and everyone except for Cameron literally GASP because "WDYM YOU NEVER WATCHED GRAVITY FALLS?". So then when Cam says that he never watched it either they just collectively decide to arrange a weekend to binge watch the whole series altogether.

I could make a whole different post about that. Anyway.

Randomly remembered this crazy ass dream I had months ago where I wasn't me but a dps character, I don't remember exactly which, Neil perhaps. Or chris IDK. And like there was an irl friend of mine and we were at my old school which btw he never went to, and I was supposed to go to his house after class. But then suddenly my friend wasn't my friend anymore, it was Steven Meeks and I got to his house and Pitts was there and also a random girl with rollerblades and his parents that didn't like me for some reason. Then smth should've happened there but idk. Last thing I remember was someone that I'm pretty sure was Pitts jumping off the rooftop on a skateboard.
