Concept for a fic: Sirius hates his life. He lives in Paris with his rich, cruel parents. He has no free time, is forced to study under strict tutors and go to formal functions that he hates.

Unbeknownst to him, he has an identical twin, Regulus, raised in the English countryside by their uncle Alphard (their mother couldn't be bothered to raise two children, so when the twins were born she gave one to her brother.) He longs to live in a city, and hates the rowdy, pretentious boys at the boarding school he goes to in the Scottish highlands.

The twins meet, and decide to swap places. Regulus goes back to Paris and dutifully fulfils his role as their parents' heir, finally getting to study Latin and everything he wanted. Sirius loves the countryside in Britain, and gets along famously with Regulus' classmates, namely James, Remus and Peter. Both of them wish the switch could be permanent, but things start to unravell quickly, with people noticing the sudden change in their behaviour. How long can they keep up the act before the truth comes out?

i may be a marauders fan but I am not a harry potter fan anymore. especially if being a harry potter fan means supporting jkr.

I do however get that the fandom has saved many people and is a comfort for them so here's a reminder to all of those people so that u can still enjoy hp AND support ur trans friends.

And most importantly DO NOT support the remake. This remake is being made to cover up the actors who have worked on harry potter and have spoken out against jkr and her beliefs. Jkr is set to make millions off this reboot as are the actors who have agreed to work with a woman as awful as her.

Bellatrix was given a dagger when she turned 11. It had some sort of special meaning. A ritual or something that Bella didn’t pay any mind to at the time.

It felt right in her hand, like it always belonged. The handle was engraved with stars, her star the biggest and boldest. She adored the dagger more than she cared to admit.

When Bellatrix was 13, Andromeda turned 11. Bella presented her sister with a dagger. The Andromeda Galaxy engraved on its handle. Bella isn’t quite sure whether Andy really liked the gift but her sister tucked it into her sleeve and smiled in thank you.

Narcissa turned 11 when Bellatrix was 14. Bella was a little nervous when presenting her gift to her youngest sister. Though when Narcissa accepted the dagger she was given, Bella need not have worried. Narcissus flowers were engraved in the handle and Narcissa swore, “now you will always be at my side.”

“Always,” Bella promised, a small smile on her lips that she usually felt the need to hide.

At 19, Bellatrix had a lot more responsibilities and duties then she did at 11. However she would never miss her cousin's birthday. Sirius turned 11 and Bellatrix was right there in the room. Despite the slightly jealousy she feels for Sirius, she presents him with a dagger. The Dog Star engraved on the handle with his star being the biggest and boldest.

Sirius grinned infamously and flipped the dagger around in his hands, testing it as he has always done. Once satisfied, he nods, running off to chase Regulus around the manor.

When Bella was 20, Evan was 11. It’s never been a secret that Evan is his favourite little cousin. He looks up to her with awe that is inspiring. Bellatrix takes Evan away from the celebrations and pulls out a dagger, the handle engraved with roses and thorns. There is a twinkle in Evan’s eyes when he sees it, an appreciation that makes Bella proud. Evan is the first to hug her in many years.

Regulus turns 11 a few months after Evan, and a month before she turns 21. She cannot help but have a soft spot for him, she certainly likes him more than Sirius, despite the fact that in comparison, she thinks Regulus has no spine. Not that it matters.

Regulus’ dagger is engraved with the lion stars, his star the biggest and boldest in the chest. Like Evan, Regulus treasured the gift, wielding it with a poise she was surprised to see. Mischief flickers over his face as he glances sideways at Sirius. Bellatrix laughs quietly and midges him, “go on,” she encourages and that’s all Regulus needs. Her youngest cousin takes off with his dagger ready to strike, running after Sirius who begins screaming and laughing all throughout the house.

Narcissa comes up to her side, her shoulder lightly bumping with her own, “you’re a wonderful cousin, Bella.”

Bella cannot help but smile softly.

Sirius then learns sign for remus and that's when regulus finally gives up on winning his brother back. He never bothered learning sign for his brother but he'd do it for the people he replaced him with

Remus Lupin, who's hard of hearing but can't afford hearing aids always has to ask people to slow down or write what they're saying because most students don't know sign language.

Regulus Black, who's selectively mute and communicates mostly with sign language.

Regulus is going down to the medical wing to get a potion for Evan. He froze, seeing Remus, talking(?) to Pomfrey in sign language. Remus notices him, standing there frozen. He speaks up, “You alright there, mate?”

Regulus blinks, snapping out of his trance and nods, crossing over to Pomfrey, and signing, “I need a Pepperup for Evan”

“Of course, dear. One moment.” Pomfrey responds, walking off to get the potion.

Once she is out of view, Remus turns around to face Regulus, then signs to him, “You know sign?”

Regulus nods, “Yes, I do.” he signs in reply.

And that is how their friendship started.
