Lost in a Memory

“I had hoped by now I would have grown out of my fear. But I'm constantly reminded of just how useless and fragile I can be. Why is it so easy to fall than it is to stand up?

Because it requires determination. You have to stand your ground when obstacles come your way. But if I am already weak, how can I stand tall and fight?

It's much easier to give up. To fall. To let go... You don't have to put in any effort. But no one likes a burden. Sometimes I wish I could have it both ways.. to be able to fall and just have someone to catch me. Selfish thinking.. isn't it?”

Patience Running Slim

“I tried to wait for you. You told me that one day you'd be back for me. And so I waited. A few minutes turned into several days that went into counting the weeks to trying to remember which year it was that you left.

Instead I'm left with the untouched things that once was held by you. It's so careless of you to leave behind all your favorite things behind. But the moment you come back home to me it'll all be here, untouched and preserved as if you never left at all.

I didn't know how else to keep track of time besides leaving marks along my skin to remind myself of the pain of you being away from me. Although I'm afraid I'm running out of places to leave marks.”

But I'm just not sure if I'm quite cut out for writing. I can't really call myself a writer when I see everyone else write so beautifully.

Besides, I can't help the fact I just constantly feel like I'm letting everyone down.
