Introducing: Zeke, Our Beloved Mascot 🦅🏈🩸 (NPMD au)

Just in:

After 40 long, dreadful years, our beloved mascot Zeke, the Fighting Nighthawk has finally returned to the field. Zeke was an icon, and was loved by all the Nighthawks of Hatchetfield High. Ever since the death of the original Zeke on October 11, 1978 the whole school (as well as the parents of Zeke) were left with feelings of grief, sorrow, and despair. Followed by countless loses and overwhelmingly high lows, the Nighthawks were ranked as “the worst football team in all of Michigan”.

Now in 2018, a brave student of Hatchetfield High has volunteered to become the next Zeke, and to carry on Zeke’s legacy. Hopefully, this would push the Nighthawk’s luck into wining the next Big Game against the Clivesdale Chemist, and many other future sport games.

We’ve interviewed some of the star quarterbacks, Kyle Clauger, Jason Jepson, and Max Jägerman on their thoughts on Zeke’s return:

|Kyle|: “I think it’s great to have Zeke back!”

|Jason|: “We really need all the spirit that we could get to win the Big Game this week….whatever it takes.”

|Max|: “I mean, if it means we don’t get another [freaking] lost to Clivesdale, then hell yeah! Go Nighthawks!”

This is a NPMD au about Richard Lipschitz, who finally accomplished his goal of being apart of something big in Hatchetfield High. To Richie, he feels like he is no longer a loser when he gets to become one of Hatchetfield High’s iconic mascot, Zeke. But whenever he puts on the costume, he can’t help but feel like something is wrong or that someone is watching….

Sorry for the vague summary and bad grammar, writing is not really my strong suit, and this is my first au that I made. I had this idea of Richie being haunted when he’s Zeke, and how the football team treats Richie when he’s in costume versus when he’s not….. If you guys want to see more of this or see some sketches of this NPMD au, feel free to let me know. This is really just an idea that I had for a little while.
