It’s Hot

You’ve been wandering this desert for… how long now….? It’s almost unbearable. You decide to take a drink from your canteen…. and a single drop falls into your mouth. No… you’re out of water. 

You’re looking around for something! Something with water.

You walk for hours.

On the horizon, you see something.

An oasis! Water! You quickly make a break for it, but before you can travel too far, you run into the flat of a blade.

A figure towers over you, all-too-excited smile on their face. 

“Why now, I can’t let you go there. You’re not dead yet! You should turn around!”

What? But you were so far from civilization! Perhaps it isn’t too late to ask for directions.

Ellie looked at Josef and did as he instructed. They watched very carefully as he extended his hand. Ah! This custom. The custom of introductions and greetings. THey counted Josef’s fingers... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...... Ellie looked to her own hand... 1, 2, 3.... 

Not enough fingers for a firm handshake.

What a shame. Ellie would never get this down.

Ellie seems extremely dejected at Richard’s statement.

He looks horribly nervous and then struggles to correct himself.

“But you’d really make her day if you did!”

“Oh, but, did you want anything? Or are you just here to say hi?” Quill looked up to Richard for a moment. “She is adorable! And it is nice to meet you both. It appears Scarlett knows you already, so!”

Then he turned back to Ellie. “And I am glad to hear you like my work!”

The Beast approaches Ellie, a discerning look in it's eyes. "You. You were not created naturally, were you? I've seen human lab creations before, unfortunate circumstances yet against the natural order of things. So what was their purpose for you, hm?"

As the giant wyvern approaches the Zoroark steps in front of Ellie and takes on a more hunched over, solid pose, trying to look intimidating.

Unfortunately, he just looked like a silly nerd due to his clothing.

“Step away from the subject!” he yelled out, but Ellie was still peeking around him.

There was no sign of hostility. Only curiosity, here. The Kirliyem, who was initially drawing on the ground and only stopped when something much bigger than them approached, crawled in front of Richard from between his legs, to which she stood up again, staring at The Beast with a shared curiosity.
