I have to be honest with you all...

I have no clue if this song is about Mizi or Ivan .

But my running theory is that this is about Mizi on a surface level, and it's about Ivan on a depthful level.

And with the addition of the "Don't you hate me," line it seems likely that it's probably about Ivan.

You could argue that it could be Till overthinking stuff with Mizi and believing she should hate him for liking her while she likes someone else. But Mizi isn't the kind of person who he knows would do that.

Meanwhile, Ivan came back to a prison just because Till didn't run away with him, so Till can logically and emotionally think that this man would have every right to hate him.

Now I'm just gonna analyse, using this translation by @/whatafruit

This could obviously mean how Till gets really shy around Mizi and stutters around her most of the time.

But he also more obviously does this with Ivan. He does not say a word when he notices ivan and often just turns away. The first clear instance of this being the most impactful.

Now the lyrics;

Close the distance between us

To be inside your heart...

Initially appear to be about Mizi. He's distant with her, he wants to be closer to her, and have a place in her heart.

But then we get to this;

I get scared again like an idiot

Widen the distance between us

Mi Vida Loca...

And its goes back to likely being about Ivan. He sees uneasy whenever Ivan shows affection, and gets scared from it. He actively widens the distance between them.

The lyrics give a peek into the general mindset of Till as well.

They say this is a beautiful song,

and they open their arms wide for me

But more than the countless spotlights I want you

My light is born from you

He says that he is able to create such good music because of the light born from his love for whoever the song is about (at this point, it probably both Mizi and Ivan to some extent (bisexual disaster)). He doesn't want the fame or the fans that come with writing his songs, he just wants the person he loves.

(Oh) Your smile that doesn't love me

(Even so) I'll also smile at me who doesn't love myself

This is the part which stumps me the most.

The second part is easy enough to understand. He will smile at himself, even though he does not love himself.

But the first lyric is easy to connect to Mizi due to her recent comics. She smiles all the time, but there were moments where she didn't truly mean it.

It's harder to connect it to Ivan, who smiles the most around Till. He fakes his emotions alot, so Till could have interpreted that as a smile that does not love him. It's also possible that the smiles Ivan gives Till have a sense of longing that is inherently tragic. Which, again, could have been misinterpreted by Till.

But yeah, this whole song is very clearly a love song, and I have no clue about who it is truly about.

Sua looks so passive in this comic the whole time, letting herself be touched and worshipped and moved around like a pretty doll, Mizi's dress doesn't even really fit her, I think that's meant to emphasize her fragility and how small she is because Mizi sees her as so beautiful and breakable underneath her, she's drawn to Sua's fragility and unthreatening demeanor. It's actually very reminiscent of how she's treated by the aliens, like a little snow doll, delicate and brittle, dressed in white frilly dresses too big and too loose on her, yk. Mizi even speaks to her like she's an "adorable" doll. In the underlying message, I think this does well to portray how Mizi sees Sua, and it conveys a part of how Mizi and Sua perpetuate the same hurt and abuse they go through. Although Mizi's thought process is unintentional, it's dehumanizing. Mizi reveres Sua like a god, points out her fragility. Like what I said in my last post, the aliens became a blueprint for Mizi's understanding of love and what she wanted to find in it, even if she bitterly knew how belittling it felt to be treated like a toy by the aliens, her coping mechanism for these expectations she had placed on her and the discomfort she felt was finding comfort in projecting that onto Sua, making it so that she's the one in control over a malleable doll-like person and treating them gently even with the knowledge that she was so, easily, at her whims. And Sua is so easily adept at fitting that role for Mizi's idealistic reality and dream, no matter if they hurt each other. Indulging in that facade of control, that bubble of naivety and agency that Sua created for them both to escape in, lying to each other with facades and selfishness, and finding escape and comfort in it

Something something Kevin who grows up with contrition and violence as his main method of training and yet never raises his hand to Neil on the court, even once; who glares and bitches every time Neil says he's fine to play when he's not, who's heart is broken when he finds out who Neil really is because Neil should have been court and Kevin was going to get him there, but instead, he's just another boy who'd stepped too close to Kevin Day and became an all-too familiar tragedy.

Ronan telling Adam "maybe I dreamt you" and Andrew telling Neil "you're a pipe dream" killed me and revived me. Like how do you just say that and move on? That's the greatest love confession I've ever heard. We're just gonna move on from that?
