I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

everyone who thinks "social pressure to transition" is real has naturalised the social pressure Not to transition to such a point that they have become incapable of understanding that it's real and exists. "cis guy who likes wearing a skirt has been pressured into becoming trans :(" how about "trans girl who is in the middle of cracking her egg is terrified of being trans and you telling her that it's Okay to be a cis man in a skirt is unhelpful at best and open transmisogyny at worst". you do not see that 99.99% of the social pressure is in the direction of Staying Cis because it is only that 0.01% that feels unnatural to you

Very true! The US school system is absolutely fucked and cares more about producing good test results than actually teaching students useful and vital skills, so students can do just fine on standardized tests but end up graduating without the ability to put that knowledge into practice in their day-to-day lives.

But! I will say this again! Your education does not end in a high school classroom! And you can in fact build and improve these skills on your own! It's very easy actually! Just google "how to improve [reading comprehension/critical thinking/etc] skills" and you'll find tons of advice and guides from a lot of different resources! Here's a couple to get you started!

Well, I'd like to assume this person isn't racist and this is just a slightly misinformed and frustrated response. Unfortunately, the alarm bell of dismissing racism when approached with it did go off when I read it! Because what they're dismissing is not an untrue statement!

Gun control as a concept isn't racist, no (it would be better for all of us). But, just like very, very many things in the policies of ye olde United States of AmeriKKKa, theory is not implementation, and part of the reason gun control gets implemented as it is was due white supremacy and fear, yes.

The second amendment is not equally enforced, and it never has been! Tis for the same reason why white folk can say it's their unalienable right, but even the idea of a Black or Brown person carrying can serve as an easy excuse to let a cop shoot them and get away with it as self defense.

Guns and racism: Who do White Americans really perceive gun rights to be for in the United States?

However, U.S. history demonstrates that the strength of this link may depend on whose access to guns is in question. Arguably, the most restrictive gun control laws can be found in the overtly racist U.S. antebellum and Jim Crow periods. Many of these gun laws specifically and explicitly restricted Black persons’ ability to possess and carry firearms.

A more recent and salient historical example is the Mulford Act of 1967, which outlawed the open carrying of loaded firearms. The Mulford Act was signed into law by California’s Republican governor Ronald Reagan with the support of the National Rifle Association. Although it is not explicitly stated in the act, the passage of this particular gun control law was motivated by the open carrying of loaded firearms by members of the Black Panther Party who were conducting patrols in Oakland neighborhoods to protect Black residents from police brutality (Anderson, 2021; Cottrol & Diamond, 1991; Winkler, 2011).

I have a friend (Wasian that passes real well) who is SUPER into guns, and we debate the topic of gun ownership. And I had to tell him, YOU walking around with your strap out in the open will be perceived far differently than if I do the same. And we (in theory!) have the same rights and ability to get a certificate!

So yeah, let's not speak lightly of racism in moments of frustration... Because yes, that is still racist.
