3/HERBOS I LOVE IT

The privacy aspect is absolutely for readers benefit because, once comfortable, Cassandra will have absolutely no problem sticking her tongue down your throat at any given time. Walking down a hallway? Breakfast with her family? Hunting a maid? All at smooch o'clock. your lucky if you make it to her room tbh.

I could see Cassandra being the daughter to instate an almost sock on the door handle scenario where if u see it DO NOT COME IN YES DANI EVEN YOU LEAVE but also her sisters would never listen so like what's the point rlly.

She grit her teeth as she exploded into her flurry, yanking the blade from the door and returning to her spot on the other side of her room.

Another thud. More wood chipped away as she pulled the blade this time.

It must be Bela's fault. Those stupid flowers that her sister was always rattling on about; they must've been ugly. Or smelt bad. Cassandra didn't know, she didn't really find any kind of flora beautiful, but-

The message was about Denisa, obviously. The bitch who'd only been allowed to remain working, remain living, here by your mercy. 

You didn't want her dead yet. So she wasn't dead.

That was what was bothering her the most. You'd said you liked it, You called it stunning.

Cassandra had just finished the scabbard. It was ready. She's going to send it with her next letter.

Cassandra stared at the dagger. The blade had significantly dulled over her continued target practice. She flipped it upwards, catching it easily. It was an amazing make, regardless. She'd done an exceptional job.

What was your problem?

A growl escaped her.

Thud.

Squelch.

A scream.

Whoops.

Cassandra just stared at the maid who was foolish enough to open her door, teeth bared. Did people not fucking knock anymore?

She stormed over to the blubbering maid, yanking out the dagger with no hesitation and paying no mind to the girl's shriek of pain. 

Stupid maids. 

Stupid everything.

Stupid Cassandra. She'd been too slow again. Stupid Cassandra had missed something and she had no way of figuring out what until you got in touch again.

You would write again, wouldn't you?

Another maid appeared at the doorway. 

"Get her out of my sight."

"Immediately, my lady." The second maid tugged her co-worker away, hushing her sobs. 

Cassandra waited for silence to reign again before sighing. What more could she do? She was stuck.

Realising the door was still ajar she rolled her eyes. That's two maids who'd be meeting her worktable. 

Just as she went to close the door she noticed something on the floor, wrapped in a thin grey towel. She could feel the warmth before she touched it, cradling it close.

Right. She'd sent a maid to heat it.

She turned the hot water bottle around.

A drop of blood was soaked into the towel.

Growling, Cassandra slammed the door shut.

And opened it again.

And slammed it shut.

And opened it again.

And again.

And again.

"Cassandra!"

The brunette paused, the ruins of her bedroom door surrounding her, her breathing ragged.

She wiped her face, surprised by the moisture.

Oh.

She's crying.

When did she last do that?

"Come here, now."

Cassandra's face turned to stone. She turned to the window, her only protection from the flurry of snow outside.

She sneered.
