Through the scattered showers of the changing seasons, we humbly relay to you the coming of our single release, Hey Lil' Bird. This recording was remotely conceived out in the Atlantic Ocean, 300 miles east of the Bahama chain, and executed in studio with family in sound, Kyle Jones at Sleeping Brotherhood Studios in Colorado. Musicians Scott Messersmith on the Cajon drum and bassist, Keith Moseley (of String Cheese Incident) came in and laid down some more tracks to complete this process. We humbly thank you, brothers. This song was written amidst the wide ocean of a group of shearwater birds that kept us company while weeks alone at sea. It represents the humbling joy and playfulness one can find when left alone with just nature in the world. Thank you for listening always.

Rejection is okay. As we are all quirky day by day, sometimes reaching people at the right moment means that you have to play your piece, play the odds, and do it again and again. What is even the “right moment?” It’s unknowable, so play on and keep going, and then at the least likely moment, they will love your creation, your words, your music, your art. Maybe you’ve been rejected by someone regarding your art not once but a second time? (Go back to first paragraph) Making art is kind of like reading your own tarot cards. Making art is like calling a wild sea creature beneath its watery depths. Then suddenly, you may hear the swoosh of a pod of dolphins dancing alongside the bow of your boat. They searched for you and you ever so diligently searched for them. So keep calling. Keep sailing your ship. Don’t ever stop searching faithfully for your sacred encounter.
