I started drawing the Ever After High girls in random historical fashion eras… why? I have no idea

Raven Queen in 1890s, Apple White in Italian Renaissance.

Briar Beauty in 1920s, Madeline Hatter in 1880s

No particularly reason for the eras, just the vibe I get from the characters and their designs!

i feel like some people forget raven is (in cannon) that one emo girl

like in the books she doesn’t dress avant garde or wear a collar thing because that would be similar to her mother and she wants to distance herself from her. raven (in the books) wears all black (with some purple or silver) with sneakers and when she gets self conscious or shy she lets her hair cover half her face. she’s just a depressed teenager who has magically explosive panic attacks.

Lizzie can't hear the Narrator, but she regularly uses the Narrator to give instantaneous messages to Maddie and Kitty. It's faster than using her phone, and more fun. "Omniscient voice that only Maddie and Kitty can hear! Tell them I'm working on a project in the Grove and will be unable to meet them in the tea shop as we planned!"

Enid: Can you just say ONE nice thing to her when you see her?

Wednesday: Fine. But no promises.

Esther: Hi Wednesday. Nice to see you again.

Wednesday: Esther. It’s a pleasure to be here.

Esther under her breath: Huh using my name. should’ve expected that.

Esther: I hope you stay for dinner.

Wednesday: It would be…. lovely.

Wednesday:

Enid nudges her girlfriend: *whispering* Say something nice!

Wednesday rolls her yes: Fine.

The raven walks up to Esther.

Wednesday: You’re not as old as I thought you were surprisingly.

Esther: Thanks Wednesday…. I guess. Excuse me. *goes upstairs*

Wednesday to Enid: That’s the nicest thing I’ve said to her.

Esther crying on Murray: She called me OLD! Why her?! There’s so many beautiful girls in Nevermore and Enid had to end up with an ADDAMS!

So we know that in Ashlynn's story, her destiny is to become the next Cinderella, and in order to accomplish so, her mother must die.

If I recall properly, her mother was ill. It would have been intriguing for me to learn more about their relationship. Even with the books everyone's backgrounds weren't delved into much in my opinion.

Imagine a young Ashlynn idolizing her mother and wanting to be just like her, not realizing that achieving her destiny would mean losing her role model. Perhaps it was the death of her mother that caused her to doubt her "Happily Ever After," but due to peer pressure from other royals, she reluctantly signed the storybook.

To me Ashlynn is one of the many character that had sooo much potential. Especially angst wise.

Ava and Beatrice are making dinner. They feel so comfortable together just by doing any domestic task, kissing each other’s cheeks whenever they had the opportunity. Ava touched Beatrice’s waist every time she walked behind her as she started to set up the table, and Beatrice reached for the plates on the cabin putting a hand on Ava’s back. Because they simply were unable to stay away from one another. They were in such a good mood that they started singing the songs they were listening to. And obviously Ava couldn't help herself.

Ava😁: 🎶 Don't go bacon my heart! 🎶

Beatrice: 🎶 I couldn't if I fried! 🎶

They are a match made in heaven.

will never not be angry about how ‘lizzie shuffles the deck’, one of the only lizzie centric epsiodes we get, implies that her closest friends who inspire her to undo her mother’s conditioning are the royals?? apple, blondie, and briar?? and they do this like for no reason, completely ignoring the most important canon relationships lizzie actually has: kitty and maddie, who are the only people she actually cares about and believes understand her. why would they not center that far more interesting relationship??

I'm currently rewatching Ever After High for probably the 15th time, and I will never get over how incredible this show is.

What if the charming parents always knew what their children's fates would be and made use of that knowledge to further control them?

When each of the charming children is born, their parents take them to a fairy within the first week of their birth, wishing to see what their futures will be like. The wishes are granted, but they are not what they were hoping for.

Daring is obviously their favourite child, and they would want the best for him, only to discover he was destined to be a beast? This is completely unacceptable. So they train him to be the best Charming in generations and bring him to Snow White's realm early on in order for him to build a deep bond with Apple. That must force him to be her prince, right, instead of some ghastly beast?

Now for Dexter, I am one who strongly believes he could be Raven's Good King. (I also enjoy the idea of him being the Evil King and Raven being the Good Queen but we can discuss that another time.) Dexter may not be allowed to outshine Daring destiny-wise; there's no way they'd allow him to be associated with the future Evil Queen. No, that would tear apart everything his parents had worked for with their reputation. Instead, he can take on Daring's destiny of being the beast or the prince in another story that needs a prince charming. Under no circumstance was he to be better than his brother.

Finally, with Darling, the parents would be appalled at the idea of her being Apple's princess charming instead of Daring. Her father, especially, would be horrified at the idea of a girl being the hero! She was to be a damsel in distress for another prince to save; that was her role in life, whether she liked it or not, and he wouldn't allow anything else.

They would do everything in their power to cover this up, not realizing the damage they were forcing upon their children as well as the fact that they were simply pushing them into their true destiny even further.
