Today is the last day of the Queer-A-Thon!

So, I didn't end up using this blog as much as I would have liked. Which makes sense, considering this is a new event and it's the first year it's running, but still, sorry for that.

But anyway --- it's almost over! Which is very sad, but at least there's fic to read. At the time of writing, there are TWENTY different fics in the collection (https://archiveofourown.org/collections/StormlightQueerathon2025/works) which.. is a lot of writing! Thank you so much to everyone who participated! Go read them and leave comments!!!

You have until exactly "whenever I get around to it tomorrow" to submit your fics to the collection, and then it will be closed forever. If you didn't finish your fic on time, don't worry --- just don't post it or tell anyone about it until next year when the event starts again! (Or, you know, just post it normally so everyone can still read your amazing fic.)

Again, thank you so much to everyone who participated! Are more fandom events like this something people would be interested in? (a la a secret santa or a bingo or something like that? Let me know!) This has been @arborplasm, and I hope everyone had a good time :)

One Too Many, Two Too Far

Rated Mature, 1300 words, Elhokar/Teft, fucked up power dynamics mixed with booze.

The bridgeman returned, and Elhokar grabbed the glass from his hand and took a calming sip. “What’s your name?” he demanded. “Teft,” the bridgeman said, holding his hands behind his back in a proud posture. His uniform fit him well, and his beard and eyebrows were neatly trimmed. Not a hair out of place, actually. Somehow that put Elhokar even more out of sorts. “And you think you deserve to be part of my Cobalt Guard?” “Deserve’s got nothing to do with it, Your Majesty,” he drawled, finally remembering proper etiquette. “You think you can do what needs to be done? Will you be loyal to your king? Truly?” Elhokar grimaced as he noticed his voice taking on a note of desperation. Storms, he hated when he got like this. He took another swig of violet. The bridgeman didn’t blink. “I already said my oaths as a guard, but I'll tell you, l—Your Majesty, I know when to kneel and when to stand.” Brazen! Rude! Insubordinate!! Elhokar squinted at him, his chest heaving with rage.

Dalinar attempts to understand Renarin better in a good-hearted yet poorly executed manner. Like an awkward date with another man, or trying to kiss a man, hold hands or even getting intimate. Bonus points for a very amused Navani cackling from the sidelines

Teft tried hiding his sexuality through his marriage and for years after that. He's tired of hiding and has to navigate coming out in his mid-50s. Filler's choice if he struggles or is laid back about it, begrudgingly finds someone to help him explore being gay, or just dives in and has a random fling/hookup
