I come bearing the gift of piracy as an early Easter present! Welcome to the most recent (at the time of writing) version of Adobe Photoshop, which was released on March 27th of 2025. As per usual, have a peek at the note below, as it's there to help avoid the most common issue.

Authenticity popup? In case you get a message that says Photoshop needs to be licensed, or it will uninstall itself otherwise, please have a look at this fix! (Always uninstall previous Photoshop installations prior to installing a new one)

Step 1: Download the file from my Google Drive, or Mega.nz Step 2: When done downloading, unzip it (Windows can do it for you, but I personally use a program called 7ZIP) anywhere on your PC, even your desktop works fine, and yes, you can delete it when you're done with all of these steps. Step 3: Go into the unzipped folder, click 'Setup', and Photoshop's usual installation window will pop up. Install it as per your preferences (if you aren’t too tech-savvy, don’t worry, you can leave the default installation options as they are and all will be fine). Step 4: Hit 'Launch', and well— enjoy your copy of Photoshop! (Step 5: I would absolutely love you if you could spare a reblog of this post, which is not even for my own sake, but for anyone else who might be looking to obtain a copy of Photoshop!)

I realized that I pronounce mvingender like "mav-in-gender", but I pronounce mviaspec "MIV-ee-uh-SPECK." Why??

Molly Burke, if you want to find her on YouTube. She went blind at a young age and talks a lot about her experiences. She's collaborated with comedian Drew Lynch in the past and their service dogs went on a date together! I haven't watched her in so long but that's what I remember about her.

Well!

So first, let's clear a common misconception: no, President Abraham Lincoln did not love Black people nor see them as human equals. At best he was centrist about it (though, even his implication that 'exceptional' Black men ought to vote got him assassinated).

"My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do, it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union...I have here stated my purpose according to my view of official duty; and I intend no modification of my oft-expressed personal wish that all men everywhere could be free."

The "freeing of slaves" after the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863 was meant to kneecap the economic and military powers of the seceded South. Lettuce stop making a white savior figure out of Lincoln, or thinking that my people's shackles were unchained via anything other than desperate war strategy and extreme violence. Think on that, for a moment.

That being said!

But not everyone in Confederate territory would immediately be free. Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was made effective in 1863, it could not be implemented in places still under Confederate control. As a result, in the westernmost Confederate state of Texas, enslaved people would not be free until much later. Freedom finally came on June 19, 1865, when some 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas. The army announced that the more than 250,000 enslaved black people in the state, were free by executive decree. This day came to be known as "Juneteenth," by the newly freed people in Texas.

Consider going through the Smithsonian website to learn about Juneteenth! Recognize why it's an actual day of freedom, versus July 4th and the independence of a select few.

There is: Romantic love, familial love, platonic love, and probably a type of love for every other tertiary form of attraction (for those who are not loveless.)

But what about sexual love? Is that a thing? All these other identities could probably include a form of love (obviously moreso in allo spaces.) I'm curious if it really can extend to any form of attraction. Can you love someone you are sexual attracted to but not romantically? You can love a family member and that's obviously only familial attraction.

Let me know. Orientation is not my strong suit and for me, romantic and sexual attraction is inseparable and I'm atertiary otherwise.

So when we chase out all the mspec gays and lesbians, the xenogender folks, the noun- and emojiself pronoun users, the altersex folks with nonlinear/unconventional transition goals, the tri-, quad-, and quintgender folks, the nondysphoric trans people, the trans men AMAB, the trans women AFAB, the cistrans people, and the people who are neither cis nor trans, THEN bigots will start taking us seriously and we'll get the rights we all fought for. Right?

Gender neutral alternative to the suffix “-ess”

Hey so I came up with this years ago but never told anyone until now. Basically, y’know words that have a base form, and then end in “-ess” when they’re feminine?

God/Goddess

Waiter/Waitress

Host/Hostess

Prince/Princess

While many people have gained a more gender neutral perception of the base words, there is still a masculine connotation associated with them for a lot of people. In my ideal world language will eventually evolve to a point where we don’t have to worry about all these silly gendered suffixes, but people who prefer gender neutral language shouldn’t have to stew in dysphoria while they wait for society to catch up.

Here’s my proposed alternative suffix option:

“-en” instead of “-ess”

God/Goddess -> Goden

Waiter/Waitress -> Waitren

Host/Hostess -> Hosten

Prince/Princess -> Princen

I really like the sound of this suffix, it fits me well, personally. Do you prefer gender neutral language, and want an alternative suffix, but HATE this? Make your own! Find one that works for you! Have fun!
