alice by heart fanfiction i'm planning
the story would be alice as an adult, choosing to just remember her old games of pretend one last quick time. however, she can only think of alfred as the white rabbit no matter how hard she tries to just imagine the white rabbit as a rabbit. every other character is the exact character from the book but the rabbit can't be anything but alfred in her imagination. this leading her to want to get through it as quick as possible to not have to remember alfred's death. though, this idea of alfred as the white rabbit would be alice's connection to him still lingering. now he's the one wanting to change the story to his liking to remember childhood. thus a role switch. alfred would be alice's longing for her childhood with him that she keeps trying to forget. it's her conscious and what she really wants taking the form of alfred.

do you mean Angela? she's one of my favourites in that cast. she's so nice and talented. (and called me funny, bit of a flex)
I know you mentioned you really liked Emma's Jane from theatre south playhouse, what do you think of her counterpart? I never see people talking about her
I LOVE HER TOO!! sadly never got to see her live though, only emma since she was put into the main run for the last two shows

he hasn't said anything but based off of what i've seen, his Ricky has a lot of traits so i'd say it's safe to at least headcannon it.
thinking about Bennet Preuss as Ricky Potts again.
in one of Bennet's tiktoks, (https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSj9Sejsk/) he shows the small details he adds to Ricky's character. such as bad attention spam and the start of his hyperfixations and inspo for the cat women of zolar. not many people i see play Ricky add these small and crucial details to Ricky's character. without them it makes his disability feel unnatural and almost forced. which is why adding them was such a smart and well thought out idea. it shows care for the fact Ricky IS disabled but doesn't convey it in a toxic and incorrect way.
not only is his representation of an autistic character is incredible but the way he acts in general. if you watch his performance of space age bachelor man (https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSj9SBKMn/), you notice tiny details that make perfect sense. the way lines are delivered just sound how they were meant to. the "i'm a LOVER, not a fighter", the pure fear in his voice at the line "oh my goodness, what have i gotten myself into?!" going into the comedy of his voice dropping for "DOWN BOY" work so well together. he was SUCH a good pick for Ricky and don't even get me STARTED on him as Alfred Hallam in Alice by heart. i couldn't see EITHER of these shows and i just know he was immaculate.
anyway, Bennet Preuss for president 2024.

'another room in your head.' - alice by heart
the scen starts with alice saying that there can't be a trial without her. she's saying that if they don't reach the last page of the book, she can keep them trapped in wonderland forever. she's trying to grasp onto that small hope that she can stay within the story with alfred despite him already being dead. this is when rose petals begin to drop down on them. this being a metaphor for alfred's life is falling away just like these petals. as alice tries to convince him that they were meant to live in wonderland forever,
alfred begins to cough. as he does, the lighting goes red which makes it appear to be the roses are now painted red. that red being alfred's blood. alice mentions how the roses are red to which alfred replies "yes, they are as roses are. roses here must be." he's saying he has always been this sick. this is alice finally realising how sick alfred truly is. he asks her to let him finish the story one last time. alfred then says, "i'm a rabbit in a waist coat, really. running out of time in wonderland." this is once again, him explaining WHY he's the white rabbit. cause he's running out of time. alice then asks how she will live without alfred, he tells her that that's the true riddle.
this song is alice trying to figure what to do without alfred. she's begging herself to remember him always but at the same time, unsure of what to do when he's gone. he was her only friend, the only person she ever spent time with. all she would do from the age of 4 to present is playing pretend with alfred so now that he's gone, what is she to do? in the middle of the song, she walks away from alfred. this is the first time in the entire show where alice moves away from him. this is her finally starting to learn to let him go. at the end, alice begs alfred to take her with him. he tells her not to get too close. she then tries to kiss him knowing she'll contract tuberculosis. alice would prefer a slow painful death over living without alfred. although, this isn't really alfred. it's either a spirit or her imagination. this represents the self dread, regrets and thoughts of suicide a lot of people go through when dealing with greif.
