miles_art My second poster produced for @toolmusic 👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️👁️ Been torture to sit on this one for a month and psyched I can finally share it. When I was offered the chance to provide some posters I knew I wanted to make something fresh from scratch, so this painting was produced from sketch to finish in about three and a half weeks. Made my October an absolute blast, dream job moment.
The idea was inspired and emerged from my interpretation of lyrics from the new album, the track 7empest in particular. Hope u dig!
Thanks so much to @adamjones_tv for the opportunity, much love and respect to you, all of the band, and @alexgreycosm for all the years of inspiration. I tried to give a nod to the art style you all formed together with the band whilst keeping it still recognizably mine too.
Since its early days, Disney used the technique of rotoscoping / live-action reference, in which they filmed real actors performing a scene and then traced over it frame by frame to create the animated version. While the animators did not copy line for line, the footage would help them visualize the postures and movements of the characters, resulting in a more realistic sequence.
we are already living in the cyberpunk future and i know this because within a span of 3 days we went from this tweet:
to thousands of people making phony images and replying to them with their passionate desire to have them as a tshirt to overload the bots with nonsense and junk and send out warnings to shoppers like this:
and now we even have people replying to pictures of baby yoda with “i want this on a tshirt” knowing how ravenous disney is being with copyright in hopes to get the stores taken down altogether
i dont know what it is about stuff like this and the whole turn mei into a symbol of hk protesters thing but, its really reassuring for some reason
