Gov. Kidnapping AU thoughts

Now that Chapter 8 is posted I wanted to try sharing what I was thinking about when I was writing in the fic that I forgot about in the notes.

Here are images and my thoughts of the 3 major NPCs who have appeared so far in the story. It's in the japanese style, so Last names come before first name. Only the last names are mentioned in the story.

In chapter 8, Hojo takes Tsukasa and Mafuyu down to the first floor. Now that we're seeing a lot of the compound, I drew a map:

Tsukasa and Rui are dating. They're in a relationship. The reason that Rui is so obsessed with trying to save Tsukasa but Tsukasa doesn't single Rui out specifically when he's thinking is Tsk's thinking process goes something like this... WXS will die without him. That's his group, and he's the leader, and he needs to carry out his responsibility. But, if anything happens to him, Rui can always get another lover. Tsukasa thinks that he is replacable as Rui's boyfriend Obviously Rui doesn't think like this but Tsukasa is selfishly selfless and a dumbass.

2. Are the police aware of the project? In a whole, no. The police officer WXS and N25 talked to in chapter 1 didn't know. The people who went to Asahina-san's house to get the photos and videos didn't; Hojo probably had one of his close employees(who knew) head the operation, and the other officers just saw it as evidence.

3. Can WXS enter N25's sekai and vice versa? No. No one but members of WXS can enter the Wonderland Sekai, and no one but members of N25 can enter the Empty Sekai. Pretty obvious, but I went on the brink of forgetting that like 4 times so I'm writing it down here.

4. How is Tsukasa's family(+Toya) taking it? Badly. Saki(who is very present in chapter 11, sorry for neglecting you girl) is holding on by like, 2 threads. The police are doing nothing for them, and Tsk's father is taking days off work to try to look for his son. I think they believe the "Tsukasa ran away" thing as much as Rui and are trying to look for them, but it's hard when they don't share a 4th dimension with them. Toya is distracted, and Akito probably has a massive headache.

I'm going to change my posting schedule(I didn't have a posting schedule) to be updates every Monday. I have 3 chapters stocked up but i just want to be consistent so people know when to expect them. Chapter 9 will be posted tonight! Enjoy!

A little sneak peak for chapter 8!!

I absolutely LOVED writing this chapter, and I think it's definitely the most interesting one so far. It features a new villain, a lot of foreshadowing, and a deep dive into Mafuyu's character.

And yay! We have all 6 POVS now! Here is the word count for each so far:

Mafuyu: 6312 Tsukasa: 8932 Kanade: 3541 Rui: 3406 Mizuki: 482 Nene: 3830 Emu: 664 Ena: 1609

Tsukasa is leading for now, but Mafuyu will overtake him in the next chapter. I also want to write a lot more in Emu and Mizuki's POVs. Enough of Rui, though. That purple guy is an absolute pain in the ass to write.

Government Kidnapping AU: The Mikus meet

Niigo Miku would be interested in Wondershow Miku, but Wondershow Miku would act like a tax evader being drilled by the police the whole time.

This is probably around where Niigo and Wondershow run into each other at the police station. Kanade's outfit is almost definitely something Mizuki picked out for her for the summer so that she can look presentable, because girl is a hermit. She does not have clothes that aren't the old jersey. Mizuki, Ena and Kanade will follow Mafuyu's mother to the police station for answers and will smack dab into Rui, Emu, Nene and Saki, who will skip school to do the same thing. After Mafuyu's mother goes home, Niigo Miku will come tell Kanade about Mafuyu's message about Tsukasa being with her, and that's how Niigo and Wondershow will learn about each other's sekais.

Also, Chapter 1 is almost done! I don't know how consistent I will be with updates, but I will post the AO3 link once it is up(It should be up sometime before next week).

Meanwhile...

Because electric pulses are detectable, I think it could be possible to detect Sekais from IP adresses, and that was how they found Tsukasa and Mafuyu's phones. It only takes one disappearing into a phone to verify there is an alternate dimension, especially if you're being followed.

They probably tried to handcuff a researcher to Mafuyu and Tsukasa and send them together to their Sekais, but that doesn't work(people who haven't been accepted by the Creator of the Sekai can't enter), so they conceded to using the phones and putting trackers on them so even if they teleport away, they'd still be able to be located.

After they enter the Sekais once, Miku and the rest of the Virtual Singers would tell the other members and they'd be this really crazy catfight as they argue over who the REAL Hatsune Miku.

Oh my god, I can't wait to write this.

Mafuyu and Tsukasa are stuck in the Facility now, and they know they've been kidnapped by the government. After a long bout of trying to get out, Tsukasa will start acting obedient, like Mafuyu did from the start. He's a good actor, sure, but it's pretty hard when your original motivations have been made clear from the start.

PJSK Government Kidnapping AU Timeline Part 1

I was doing a little more thinking about my AU and I think I've fleshed out an approximate timeline:

7 July 20XX (I chose the date because a summer holiday mysteries for the win):

4:08pm: Mafuyu Asahina is seized on her way from Miyamasuzuka Girl's Academy to cram school.

6:30pm: Tsukasa Tenma is seized on his way home from the Wonderlands Stage.

(For plot convenience let's assume Rui5 happens a little earlier, sometime in June)

Cram School calls Mafumom to inform her of Mafuyu's absence, causing her to combust of worry and blame Kanade(since Mafuyu lives with her) but Kanade does not go outside so knows nothing. Honami witnesses the very loud and emotional phone call.

At 8pm, Saki and the Tenma parents notice that Tsukasa has not come home yet. This is normal, but as time goes on and there is no news of him, they get more worried. They scold him on LINE(japanese Whatsapp) and assume he will be back by morning.

He is not back by morning. Saki interrogates a teary Emu, who interrogates Nene and Rui, who all don't know where Tsukasa is.

Somewhere, Mafumom is fighting the police. The Tenma parents also fill in a missing person form, but the detective they talk to brushes it off by implying that Tsukasa and Mafuyu eloped together.

The Tenma parents are now fighting the police.

(It would be really funny if Wondershow and Niigo witnessed this, so I'm trying to add it in. Rui would make the face he made in the Rui3 banner, Ena would be eating up all the tea, Nene would cancel the detective on twitter, and Kanade would despair.)

24 hours have passed since Mafuyu and Tsukasa's disappearances and Mafumom and Rui are starting to seriously regret not putting GPS trackers on Mafuyu and Tsukasa, respectively.

In a blacked out research facility somewhere in rural Tokyo, our main 2 characters are having the time of their lives. Tsukasa has already gotten himself into a straightjacket. Mafuyu's biggest concern is her unexplained absence affecting her school honor record.

(She still has to maintain the good girl facade in front of Tsukasa, but she'd actually be pretty pissed that they took her music.)

Tsukasa and Mafuyu are told about the Sekai project.

(The government shouldn't know it's called the Sekai, but eh whatever. I'm tired.)

This puts us in a weird position because now these 2 know why they were taken but everyone else outside doesn't. They don't even know that Mafuyu and Tsukasa's absences are related, because they don't know the other group also has a Sekai.

What the experiment is

The main parts I've worked out is they cause some sort of physical or emotional change to the subject and then sending them into the Sekai using their phones(it's canon, phones work in the Sekai), recording the things they see there and monitoring the differences. I don't think the Virtual Singers will show their physical forms on camera though. Mafuyu will find a way subtly to tell Miku about her situation and the fact that Tsukasa is with her, and that's where things will get interesting. Since Tsukasa already blurted out that he's not the only one with access to his Sekai, I think the researchers will gag him or restrain him to prevent info leaks. I think the plushies will notice he's there and tell the rest of Wondershow for him, though.

It'll probably be around July 9th at this point. Niigo and Wondershow officially join hands to save their members. More to come.

PJSK Government Kidnapping AU

Look who's back with a stupid new hyperfixation to make stupid AUs about.

(Don't look too closely at Tsukasa he looks stupid)

Mafuyu and Tsukasa are the only 2 people in the Sekaiverse that created their Sekais on their own. Since in the movie we saw how the sekai fragments are all technically connected, does this mean that sekais could be visible to outsiders?

Sekais are technically a physical place, an alternate dimension that is entered using phones and the specific music to activate it. In the movie, all the fragments were visible and the Miku who couldn't sing could appear on screens and things, except she only showed up as static. An influx in digital interference in electric activity can almost certainly be detected by government forces and in an attempt to understand this phenomenon and use it for other purposes, like psychological warfare.

Because Mafuyu and Tsukasa created their sekais on their own, it makes sense that their electric pulses would be the strongest detectable. In this AU, the Japanese Department of Neurology and Psychiatry(this is a real thing), supported by agencies like the CIA, will kidnap them to put them under study. And like hardcore human-experimentation level study.

The government being in on it means that the police and any other facet of the law is rendered useless for any normal person to try finding them through legal means. Rui has no concern for the law, Nene is chronically online and shown to be very good at research, Emu has the literal men in black under her direct command, Kanade and Ena both have tons of fans on the internet and Mizuki is god. They'll find them.

Mafuyu and Tsukasa care deeply for their friends and Tsukasa will probably be desperate to know if they were captured too, revealing they have access to his sekai in the process(with the added bonus that Wondershow's members are public) and might put them in risk of being captured, but Emu's rich, very high-profile family will probably lead to the government deciding against taking her and the rest but will keep them under surveillance. On the other hand, they might not even know for sure Mafuyu is a member of Nightcord at 25 and she's too smart not to know not to slip it up. She'll probably keep quiet about them and say she's the only one with access to her Sekai. This will allow Kanade and the rest to be able to focus on looking for her without being tracked.

I have tons of free time since I dropped out of traumatizing depression-causing A-levels, so I really want to try writing a fic about all this.

I thought Kaede would be in a debut with Shuichi and Kokichi, but at the last minute Sibling Angst kicked in so here she is with her sister Kaori(written 芳) and her Shadow Mistress Clara. I chose the names Sofi(e) and Clara as they're very "classical" European names. I wanted Clara's dress to be pretty provocative but still match Sofi's, but I think she looks a bit like a clown with the collar. The black " belt" isn't a belt and is showing their midriffs which doesn't really match the Victorian Kid's aesthetic but neither does Edward's suit...so...yeah.

Clara, Sofi, Kaede, and Kaori just think the two living dolls were made to look similar, I guess. Clara and Kaori will likely not have enough of a connection and prioritize their image in front of the adults more than actually finishing, resulting in them failing the debut. Even though Sofi and Kaede don't know it then, once they figure out Kaede is human and Kaori is a faceless doll, I can vouch their reunion will be very complicated.

This one would be....fun.

Octavius, Vivian, and Miriam(I changed Vivienne to Vivian because I thought it fit Angie better) are probably the most eccentric, problematic chaos shadows so..I can see a lot of things happening here. Octavius would sabotage, lie, and murder to pass the debut first. Vivian would likely be super haughty/klutzy and end up passing through a stroke of luck. Miriam would have to be pulled through by Maki to stop being sidetracked by all that Juicy Drama.

These kids probably--no, definitely-- blew the maze up and walked out completely unscathed, courtesy of Marcelina and Ryder making an interesting enough soot explosion. Amethyst went from "I don't think that's a good idea.." to "DISCOURSE! DISCOURSE!" real quick.

I changed a few of the kids' outfits because the old designs were so outdated. I watched Shadow's House again and am in love with Maryrose's outfit, but I can't give any of the girls pants without them looking like a copycat(cries).

Ship Name meanings Pt 4!

Kuzupeko : Another request!  九頭辺古 means "nine heads near the old" which makes no sense whatsoever, but is the coolest collection of kanji ever.

Celesgami: Celes is in kanji and there is no meaning, but the kami in Togami means god and セレス神 literally means "Celes is god".

Akanidai: 赤弐大 means Second Large Red. I originally thought the Nidai in Nekomaru Nidai meant "The Second" so this was a bit of a surprise for me when I was looking it up.
