Hanahaki Disease AU where both Seb and Kimi are sick. The feelings are overwhelming and the line between a flower and a weed is blurry.

Seb spits cornflowers, which apparently in folklore used to be worn by young men in love, and if the petals faded fast it meant their love was unrequited. It's like a bad joke when the petals he coughs up never lose their bright colour.

Kimi's lilies of the valley are supposed to mean the return of happiness in flower language. Which is an interesting contrast to the fact that they're slowly killing him. They also look like tears. Maybe it's a metaphor for the pain he won't allow himself to show.

If only they were honest with each other...
