Can one become a good doctor if one studies in the english section in the medical school (in Romania) ? I will definitely work hard on learning romanian before going if course! please give me an honest answer as it is my dream to become a good doctor and my country only allows you to apply once and to one school and i was sadly not accepted. If you would advise me to do it, may I ask what universities I should apply to next year? thank you very much in advance!! and good luck on your studies!

Hi! I honestly think you can become a good doctor if you study hard and learn for yourself, no matter the section/country you study into. In Romania in general the education system puts its accent too much (in my opinion) on the theory and not on practice. If you want to develop your practice abilities (how you talk to a patient, the clinical examination, basic stuff like injections etc) you have to go by yourself on calls. We have good teachers (as well as bad ones - who doesn't?), but sometimes you will be by yourself in your learning process.

I am syudying in Iași and we have a english section and a french section (about the admission exam you can find everything on the website cause it is different from our exam and I don't really know what you need to apply). And there is another option: we have places for foreigners on the romanian section. For example, I have a group colleague from Israel and he did 1 or 2 years of preparing before getting into the university. Anyway, the choice is yours! But if you really want to do medicine I think you should do it.

So.. this is my fifth day of my #20daysofproductivitychallenge. My exam from yesterday didn't go too well and I quite of had a cheat day (post-disappointment maybe with a touch of depression mood after the exam). Hope I'll do better for the one I have tomorrow, but I didn't have the time to study too much.. so we'll see about that.

These are the only notes and the only thing I captured because I was so stressed, I totally forgot about the blog.

I did study the past few days, but I have no photos and I realised I didn't track my productivity challenge and I didn't make a schedule for it either.

I'm oficially back on track and I wanna start a 25 days of productivity challenge. I won't start a #100days cause after my exams I have a vacation and I wanna enjoy it as much as I can.

I started a bullet journal (it's my first one). And I really love the outcome of the first page. The habit tracker didn't turn out exactly how I wanted, but that's okay. I have more tries for the next months.

What are your New Year's resolutions? (I haven't made any special resolution - just to finish this year with the best grades I can get.)

was dentistry difficult?

I will start with this because med schools/universities are different all around the world - I am from Romania. I applied to dentistry in Iași in autumn (normally, exams are in late July, but there were 24 places left free), because I didn’t pass the exam for general medicine in Cluj.Today I took my exam for general medicine in Iași too for some reasons: my boyfriend studies here too, I got used to the university (both dentistry and general medicine belong to the same university - University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Gr. T. Popa” Iași).I never wanted to pursue a career in dentistry, but I thought that I would eventually like it if I get “face to face” with the environment - unfortunately it wasn’t like that. I wanted to be on-call like other students from the first year from general medicine were, I wanted to get into a hospital and I didn’t want to learn about teeth and stomatognathic system.Was my first year of dentistry hard? It was - for some reasons:• I didn’t feel good with the people I was living with - I lived with another 3 girls in a dorm, without a bath in our room. We argued about cleaning schedule, about the sleeping hour (I always stayed late because I had to study more and they were at another college and didn’t have that much to study). I would have cried every weekend and I got thin real quick and in an unhealthy way. However, that problem solved when I moved to another dorm.• The passing from high school to university is pretty rough. Every other student is there for them and only them. Friendships form and break every week and it took me some time to find the right people to trust, to study and so on. The teachers are tougher - if you study, you pass. But because of the amount of materia you had, I had to study a lot harder so I can pass - I did not leave my social life beside for doing this. I tried to balance them in some way or another and, even though the balance was always swinging, I managed to pass all of my exams.What actually matters is to enjoy what are you doing, because I did not. I learned so hard the dentistry part (first 2 years at dentistry are mostly general medicine courses with very few dentistry courses) and I enjoyed so much the general medicine part that it made me realise I am not made for dentistry - I just didn’t belong there, it wasn’t a place that suited me.It was a hard year for me because I was preparing for my exam as well, but it wasn’t that hard. If you study constantly and DO NOT PROCASTINATE you won’t think it’s hard, maybe just a little tougher than highschool. Hope that answers your question! • 22.07.2018 • This was supposed to be posted two days ago, but Tumblr apparently didn't want that - it also had another caption. I have 3 days left including today. I'm nervous af and I don't know if I'm ready ot not. I have so many feelings about that day and all I can think about is that I cannot to bad again, I need to pass! I want to pass! How do you manage your emotions, your nervousity, your anxiety about exams?

• 17.07.2018 • Yes, I know there's different dates on the photos, but, as I said in a previous post, I am so pressed and so stressed and I just don't have time! - not yelling, just overpanicking. And yes, I do love ice cream - is the only dessert that I can eat in the summer without getting too fat. I had a break on the train though, break I spent reading and looking at the landscape.

• 10.08.2018 •> I didn't have time to take photos of any of the things I worked on these days cause I am a package full of stress that can start either crying or yelling or panicking in any given moment, but I searched through my phone and found these - they were taken when I went to take my bestfriends from the train station (they've arrived home form Cluj) and we stopped and chilled with a beer and a view (mine didn't have alcohol because I was driving).
