Been a bit slow on stuff recently, tired and busy with work outside of art, but I wanted to show my DnD character from 2018 vs 2024. I feel like I have come leaps and bounds from 6 years, but in some ways I also feel like I've not come far enough. Time is strange like that.

Next Lackadaisy "Painted" character.

A little worried that Nico didn't do so hot, this could be that he's not a major character but also could be that its just getting old. I wanna see what the general consensus is here on Tumblr

Nicodeme Savoy, a brawling king and all around bad boy. It would certainly be a choice to go up against him in the ring one on one. Hey at least he'd be encouraging you as he beat you into the ropes.

(Back to this painting style, I like the colours and action but I think I needed more work on other bits, all the more to learn for next time.)

Introducing Sacksy, my take on The Amazing Digital Fight Club AU made by @burrotello. Please check out their AU and their amazing artwork!

Sacksy is a pure brawling fighter, hyper aggressive and oppressive, specifically designed to counter those who so not properly utilize parries and dodges. His defence is strong, but his dodging leaves a lot to be desired. This was a ton of fun! and I needed something fresh to work on this week.

Behind that cheery grin and stogie smoke lies the the calculated mind behind the Marigold speakeasy. Sweet things are usually complemented by sour after all.

(Getting the hang of it now, this style needs movement and colour to make it work, so expect a redo of Rocky sometime in the future. Also I think this is the first time I have attempted Mordecai, hope I did ok!)

The guy with the scythe like grin and demeanour that could only be described as psychotic happiness or a criminally aligned good nature.

(I am still not the happiest with this, but it sure as hell beats my last attempt at Rocky so I'll take it. I still need to master this new technique)

A bootlegger farmgirl and her personal aide walk into the Lackadaisy speakeasy, the girl carries with her a new product, a bright red liquor. They are going to find a buyer tonight, and the hour is still young.

Back on my Red Anise Runners art after a while of making private art and figuring out things. I really enjoyed this new style and now I got an idea of how it works, I am gonna try doing some of the main Lacka cast in this style.

Denial

A piece I was sitting on for a long while. Character study/emotional testing Bella's rise in the bootlegging industry wasn't a smooth one, and when you are someone struggling to compartmentalise what's going on, you start to lash out, assign blame to anyone but yourself. What better than Anise itself, the core ingredient of absinthe, clearly THAT is the true monster here.

OC Lackakids?

Seeing some Lacka artists drawing their OC's having kids is so cute and genuinely makes me wanna consider an AU with Bella starting a family, Only issue is...ugh...with whom?

I haven't actually thought about who'd be good for her but I am looking into the Marigold side, potentially Asa, Nico or Wes. Asa and Wes seem like probably the most evil choices, Asa being an older guy and Wes being Wes, but hey, its fandom, its all good if its in good fun. If you wanna know if Eddie would have a kid? He's a boy kisser, silly.
