There are 100 million active users on this website! 100 million! Yet, it feels like less than 10% of us are helping survivors of genocide. It is so frustrating, so infuriating, because if more people extend a helping hand, it wouldn't be so alienating and competitive. Every fundraiser would have equitable support. All it takes is a reblog.

But no. The 90% does not want to have a post with a fundraiser on it. And then you have the audacity to complain about them. Why are you angry about it? Annoyed? You know there is an accelerated genocide taking place. You know the US is funding it. You know that aid being withheld, creating a mass famine across Ghazzah!

Since it's July 4th I wanted to say fuck July 4th. Rights are being stolen away from us and people are suffering, scared, dying and their lives are being destroyed. I have always despised this holiday. It's a racist holiday that only celebrates a select group of people. It's not about equality. It's about celebrating white supremacy and excluding everyone else. The world is harsh and unkind and celebrating this disgusting day isn't okay in my books. People need you. Your voice. There are millions that cannot speak up for themselves and are in unsafe places. Do your part. Support those who need it even if you don't know them. Support trans health care and rights. Protect trans kids. Donate to organizations and to those who need help from the bombings that are destroying their homes, killing their families. Protest. Shout. Fight back. They cannot destroy us. They will not destroy us.

In Gaza, people are not only being funneled into cages and shot down trying to get food, but Gaza is now on the brink of famine.

19 people have died of starvation in 24 hours, even doctors are collapsing of malnutrition. This is a sudden and significant increase.

Gaza is at IPC level 5 - confirmed by UNICEF.

The IPC is the Food Security Phase Classification Scale, and 5 is the highest level. This means a severe and wide-spread food crisis - classified by food shortages, widespread famine, and excess mortality.

650,000 people are on the brink of starvation. And people getting food at the 'aid' sites are being deliberatley short and executed. And people are murderd if they try and go out to fish.

Here is famine expert Alex Duval, explaining why Israel's starvation of Gaza is unique in the post - WW2 period;

"I've been working on this topic for for more than four decades and there is no case, since WW2 of starvation that has been so minutely designed and controlled. This is preventable starvation it is entirely man made. And every stage of this has been predicted. And at every stage, action could have been taken by Israel, by the international authorities, international community, those who back Israel, to prevent what is happening now from being prevented. And to have those steps simply not been taken. And in in the last couple of months, what we saw was a total seige of Gaza, followed by a partial lifting. But the partial lifting was not to bring in the kind of humanitarian programme that we have been familiar with as humanitarian over the decades. It was to bring in a type of ration programme that is simply an arm of the Israeli military."

Gaza is now entering a state of SEVERE FAMINE. People will die in mass, and the consequences will be severe.

Imagine, you haven't eaten in days, your family hasn't eaten in days, and the privledged people sitting, watching your suffering behind a screen won't even lift a finger to donate to you.

While most of the world has access to food, people in Gaza just live on bread and pasta if they are lucky, most have no food at all.

The only way to get food (asides being shot at the Gaza 'humanitarian' distribution hubs) is to pay ridiculous prices beyond the means of most. Sameer ( @sameergaza ) and his family need $50 per day, just to feed themselves.

And not even the proper nutritional value, just plain bread - no fresh fruits, no meat, no vegetables in Gaza, people are dying, getting shot over simple bread, rice or pasta.

Sameer has reached 75% of his goal, a very achievable goal of 10k.

If you can donate, and choose not to, I honestly don't know what to say to you. Even if you can't donate, you have your phone right there. You can share this. The last donation was four hours ago.

Today, the Palestine tag is trending on Tumblr — and among the posts is a photo of my daughter, Ronza. A fragile little girl suffering from severe malnutrition, whose story I shared, pleading for help. Her image is now reaching millions of people... but sadly, only a few have responded.

We are not okay. We are not safe. We are living in unimaginable conditions — and tomorrow is Eid al-Adha, a holiday that should bring joy, new clothes, laughter, and celebration to children. But how can my children celebrate when there is no food, no water, no medicine? How can they smile in new clothes when their weak bodies can barely stand?

We are in Gaza — trapped, starving, broken. Every day is a battle for survival.

I am begging you, before it’s too late —Please donate to help Ronza. Her life depends on it. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make the difference between life and death.

if you have a moment, please consider giving some attention to my friend Nader ( @nader202-3 )'s campaign. besides himself, he is providing for his wife, Sally ( @sally-2033 ), and their three young children, Laila, Nour, and Ahmed, as well as his parents and siblings. Nader's father was injured in the airstrike that destroyed the family's home; due to the lack of available medical care, he continues to struggle with long-term complications. this bombing also killed several of the Gibril family's relatives, including Nader's aunt, uncle, and cousin with his whole family.

now, their situation has gotten even more dire. earlier this month, Nader attempted to get food for the family at one of the israeli/US-run GHF aid distribution sites. as you've likely heard, these facilities have been used as cover to deliberately kill and injure people who come seeking desperately needed food. over 240 humanitarian organizations have called for the GHF to cease operations, and according to the UN, over 1,000 people have been killed while seeking aid. thankfully, Nader was not among them—but he was shot in the back and is now recovering from this serious injury without the benefits of easily accessible medicines, nutritious food, or even a safe and quiet place to rest.

Nader and Sally's children are all under ten years old. they are acutely vulnerable to starvation and the long-term consequences of malnutrition. if the Gibril family's campaign doesn't raise sufficient funds to buy food (which can be over $200 USD per day), Sally or one of the other adults in the family will have to risk their life seeking aid from the GHF. this is not tenable. they should not have to choose between being shot and watching their beloved children fade away from starvation.

your donations and engagement with Nader and Sally's campaign mean that Nader can recover without having to worry for his family, that Sally won't have to risk death or injury to feed their children, and that Laila, Nour, and Ahmed can survive and stay healthy. even just sharing their posts, following one or both of their blogs, or dropping a kind word is a reminder that they are not facing this terrible situation alone. whatever you can do to help is valuable.
