How to Study when you’re Tired & Unmotivated
You don’t want to change out of your pj’s? Then just change your trousers! I like putting on my fav pair of jeans which are stretchy and super soft, but you could change into a skirt, a pair of shorts, or even a dress! (I would avoid tracksuit bottoms, however, as they’re a bit close to pj’s) Then put on a pair of fluffy socks and tie back your hair and you’re done! Not in sleep-mode but still warm and comfy, and this genuinely does make a huge difference!
You don’t want to move from your bed? No problem! Just grab all your books and supplies, toss them on top of your duvet, and grab a blanket to wrap around your shoulders. Then sit up on top of your bed (yes, you heard me, no under-the-covers for you), either cross legged or with your legs tucked up underneath you, and start working! Even the simple act of sitting upright will help you get into the study zone!
You feel super gross but don’t see the point in showering? Simple action + reward sequence! Get up, go the kitchen, and find something you love love love to eat, then purposely put it down and tell yourself that you have to shower or bathe first. For me, a not-so-secret comfort food are chocolate croissants, which take 15mins to cook. So, I put them in the oven, go back upstairs and shower, and by the time I’m ready, so are they! This way you’re being productive while your food is cooking, and it will make you feel a lot better than just hanging around and waiting.
You can’t be bothered brushing your teeth? Dude. Seriously. This is one of the most disgusting things about being human. Unbrushed teeth are grossssss. Just imagine if you had to do a photoshoot right now, or your mum wanted to take a family photo, or your crush sent you a snap asking to see your beautiful smile. You really don’t want to show them that plaque-ridden foul-smelling disgusting-biochemical-hazard-to-the-entire-human-race
 do you?
You want to work but don’t know where to start? First of all, congratulate yourself. You’ve recognised that you got sh*t to do, and that you have to do it. Secondly, start with something small. Something tiny. Something that no one else will even realise you’ve done. This could be rereading your notes from your last class, highlighting your textbook, quickly skimming through flashcards on Quizlet, or even something non-academic at all. Do the hoovering, empty the dishwasher, wash the dog. You don’t have to start with something massive. You just have to start.

Easy Study Motivation Tips
We all know that it can be hard to stay focused and keep up with our studies, but it’s important to remember that the hard work will be worth it in the end. So here are some tips to help motivate you:
Set a goal for yourself. Having a clear goal in mind will help you stay focused on the task at hand. Whether it’s doing well on an upcoming test or finishing all your reading for the week, having a specific goal will help you stay focused and motivated.
Break up your study sessions. Studying for a long period of time can be overwhelming. Breaking up your study sessions into smaller chunks can help you stay focused and be more productive. Divide your work into smaller, more manageable chunks. This will help you stay on track and make progress.
Find a study buddy. Having someone to study with can help you stay motivated and on task.
Reward yourself. Don’t forget to reward yourself for your hard work. Whether it’s a small treat or a night out with friends, it can be a great way to stay motivated and remind yourself why you’re studying in the first place.
Stay positive. It can be easy to get discouraged when studying, but it’s important to stay positive and keep your eye on the prize.
 Good luck with your studies!
