redraw! the first was made on June 10th, 2024, and this one is drawn on June 18th, 2025 (sadly not that much visible improvement). this is completely miscellaneous but something I find greatly amusing is that the original was called “I crave the hands of the sun” and the redraw is called “so much hate in the eyes of the angel most favoured”.

i think some people need to start understanding that an artist is not obligated to have major diversity in their characters. is diversity good, and wonderful in studying anatomy among many other things? yes! but an artist is not under written contract to have diversity in their characters. some people need to remember that at its core, art is, first and foremost, created to make an artist happy. anybody else who finds joy in the art created is an added bonus.
#just felt like writing this after i saw a new artist get bullied in the comments for not being diverse enough in their characters#something ive noticed from my experience is that in the beginning characters will look relatively similar to one another#and all hold traits similar to the artist#because willingly or not#you will always know yourself and your body the best#even subconsciously.#and thats alright#the art community can be really toxic sometimes.
