Danny loved Germany.

The people were nice and minded their own business, the alcohol was world-class, and the police were stupid— all things that made a place the perfect playground for him. And the people were loving him too— at least, all the fine people of the media were. Ghostface was well on his way to international notoriety, but Danny couldn't pay his rent or buy food with notoriety. He needed money.

So it was very fortunate happenstance then that the prestigious architectural firm, Richter & Golder, was hiring, because they paid well, and his new boss was the hottest fucking person he'd ever seen in his damn life.

“Argh— c’mon ya bloody bastard…” David grumbled, then looked up and down the hallway to make sure it was still empty. He tried again to open the door, wriggling his key in the exact perfect way that was required for him to get into his flat. He’d contacted his landlord about the lock three times already, but nothing had been done about it for over five months now. His jacket squirmed and mewled, and he winced at the feeling of claws digging into his chest. “Agh! Oi, easy lass! Easy! Just gimme a sec to get this damn thing open, then you can run about all you want!”

😆 Ah hell I know you must be suffering with the wait! Sorry I'm so slow! 😩 It's coming though, I promise! 😆 The plan is to have Chapter 4 of David and the Cat Distribution System out this Friday (since I've been neglecting it so much lately!) and then I'm gonna hammer out Chapter 3 of Bloodlust, which will probably take two weeks, maybe three depending on the length. (And yeah, it'll probably be a little NSFW 🤭 but we're still a bit far from the main scene!)

Guilty as charged.

I have read his tome a few times, but I will admit I do have a pretty self-indulgent take on him. He's basically who I need/want him to be for whatever story I want to tell, and I think a lot of other people do this as well. I don't think there's anything really wrong with that per say; it's fun to have different versions and interpretations of a character. Some stories need that alternate interpretation of the character to be told well. That being said, I suppose it's only fair to make more of an effort to incorporate Danny's nuance a bit more. It's way too late for my longfic lol and I'm okay with that, but its something to keep in mind for the future.

hi pls pls pls read ghostface's tome because you're all ignoring so much nuance plssss,, he loves scary stories but his favourites are the ones where the horror is real and they rlly happened. his father thought in the war and wanted danny to join in too but danny makes better stories, because his settings are in calm quiet towns and not the expected killing zones. he believes that humans are naturally evil- kindness and civilization is just an intricate mask and he got into fights with his anthropology teacher over it. he doesn't understand parody and despises it and ruins his murder plans because he saw a caricature of himself in the paper. danny's convinced himself that he gives therapy to those who are victims of the suburban life, that he protects the farce of civilization, that his designs and stories help. when his dad returned from war they laughed at him and threw him to the gutter because he embodied the truth of humanity

ghostface is literally his oc. he takes so much care into making his stories perfect- he spared a drunk man to give his audience a description of their savior. he refuses to count the stooges as ghostfaces kills because ghostface could never be this sloppy, never lose his cool like danny did. he killed his own father and his only regret was that it was an impulsive murder, that wasn't designed with a sloppy execution and he did it while camping. ten years of peace for every day of blood

and isn't that so fucking cooler then making him some dirty pervert or just a silly little guy???
