Movie Night

“I’ll be over there in a second, let me make some popcorn.” Seungkwan calls through the doorway. He had been begging you for a date night, but your schedule never lined up with his. Thankfully though, both of you have some down time tonight. You both settled for cuddling plus a movie, since it was too cold outside to have a picnic (Seungkwan’s first choice of a date idea).

You sit yourself down onto the couch, swinging your feet up onto the couch to your side and snuggling yourself into the soft blanket Seungkwan brought for the two of you to share. The room was a bit cold, but you figured you could share some warmth with him.

The microwave gives off a muffled ring while the smell of popcorn wafts into the living room. Seungkwan waltzes in, sleek tail swaying behind him, with a large bowl of popcorn and his brightest smile.

“Hope I’m not too late. Is it still on the previews?” he dims the lights and hands you the bowl and situates himself under the blanket. Immediately, you can feel the warmth radiating from him; he was always a warm person, in both physical and personal attributes. Date nights were scarce but extremely enjoyable when cuddling with him, especially during the winter. You called your him your “personal space heater” sometimes, and rightfully so. He didn’t mind.

You were never one to really pay attention to movies when it came to watching them with Seungkwan. Really, you would just pick a mediocre movie to snicker at and criticize. Talking to him during the movie was the best part. He would crack jokes about how an actor’s nostrils would flare during a super intense scene, or discuss how he cringes at cheesy lines just to see you smile and laugh. During silences in the conversation, though, you both would sit in a content silence and play with each other’s hair or clothing, no words needed.

The movie starts pretty slow, but Seungkwan remains quiet. You assume he’s tired from his previous events today, so you remain quiet as well, but something seems off.

“Hard day today?” you ask. You try to keep the tone of the question light, trying not to show that you’re worried, but just enough to show you care.

“There was some drama between the boys today, and as always, I was the mediator. It turned out okay in the end, but I’m still a bit tired...” he sighed. Not knowing how to cheer him up, you start rubbing his upper back and neck area in circles. He closes his eyes and leans forward slightly, giving you more room to work. His fluffy ears began to twitch, and it gave you an idea.

You stop rubbing his back for a moment and he opens his eyes at the loss of contact, but as soon as you start scratching at the back of his ears, he begins to purr. You never really thought of touching his ears, but now it seems like the best idea you’ve had in a while. You rub the tip of his ears with your thumb and the corners of his lips curve up into a smile. He tilts his head toward you in comfort.

“Ohhhh, why have you never done this before? It feels amazing...” he moans. He was pretty much at your mercy, enjoying the treatment you were giving him. It’s a pleasure for you as well, his fur is extremely soft and therapeutic to touch.

“I guess I never thought of it until now. You should have told me you were into this kind of thing!” you tease. You both giggle softly.

“Hey, I didn’t even know I was into... this...” He trails off, leaning his head onto yours. “Can I tell you something?” You can feel his breathing go into a slow rhythm. He whispers a last “I... love you...” and he falls asleep on your shoulder. How cute, you thought.

“I love you too, babe.” You kiss his forehead and decide to lean your head on his as well, slowing down the petting. You don’t notice your eyelids getting heavy or closing.

The TV hummed quietly in the background as you two dozed off in a warm, comfortable bliss.

Oh calm down, you were the one complaining about the kink in your neck!” you continued to rub circles with your thumbs into the long haired boy’s back.

“Hey I didn’t ask for you to do this,” he retorted. That got him a hard press into his knot.

“But that’s what makes me such a good person,” you declared smartly, finally releasing him from your grasp. He rubbed his neck with a sigh as you walked around the couch to sit next to him.

You guys were in the living room of the dormitory. It was about 9 in the morning on one of the group’s rare days off and most of the members had taken the day to sleep in, with exception of Woozi, who was up at 6 and had been in his recording studio ever since, only coming out to get coffee and then disappear again. You plopped down on the couch cushion only for him to grab your waist from behind and pull you into a bear hug in his lap.

“But thank you babe, I really appreciate it!” he stuck his face into the crook of your neck, just holding you. Smiling to yourself, you turned to plant a kiss on top of his head.

Jeonghan groaned, “What am I, 5? Do I not get a real kiss?”

“Hmm… Maybe…” you poked cheek jokingly in ‘thought’, “Just a little one.”

He looked up at you, hopeful, “Okay close your eyes then,” you did as you were told. “No peeking, okay?” you nodded. You sat there waiting until you felt his hands on the sides of your face. Sticking out your lips ever so slightly you waited for him to get the idea. You feel his face get closer and closer until… he blew a big fat raspberry on your cheek and jumped up off the couch laughing.

“Jeonghan!” You screamed, half angry, half not being able to hold in a smile, “you got your slobber all over me!” the boy only laughed more at your distress, “At least get me a tissue, if you aren’t gonna say sorry.” Jeonghan left and returned with a box of tissues, he sat back down and made to hand you one. You took this brief moment of unawareness to push him back onto the couch and plant a slobbery raspberry on his cheek instead. He looked back at you shocked and somewhat impressed then made for your neck. The raspberry war turned into a tickle fight until you both were breathless and calling for a truce. You ended up laying on Jeonghan’s chest listening to the rise and fall of his breathing. He had his arm around you and shifted so you were spooning on the couch.

“Jeonghan?”

The boy hummed in reply.

“I love you.”

His breath stopped for a second, and yours did too. He squeezed you reassuringly and brought his mouth close to your ear. “I love you, too Y/N.” You let out the breath you didn’t know you were holding and relaxed in his grip. Jeonghan’s breathes became steady and you realized he must’ve fallen asleep. They did have practice until 1am last night. I’ll just let him sleep. You settled into his arms and about to fall asleep when,

“AWWW Jeonghannie’s first love~! I’m so jealous!” a voice whispered from above.

Hearing the intruder, you sat up immediately and made to cover assets that weren’t exposed, even though they felt like they were.

“Well good morning to you too, Y/N!” Joshua stood in the kitchen only a few paces away, pouring himself a cup of coffee. S.coups stood by the armrest of the couch chuckling to himself at your disarray. Jun sat on the armchair across from the couch, looking awfully suspicious as Hoshi and Seokmin were seated at the table whispering to themselves trying not to look in your direction. The other members began trailing in all looking half asleep as they wandered in for breakfast.

You felt a blush creep up your face and you smoothed your hair and clothes.”Morning guys… you are all up early.” You tried to discreetly scoot away from your boyfriend without waking him or anyone else noticing.

“Shouldn’t we be saying that to you?” S.coups smirked.

“Ah… yeah… well, since you are all up that probably means you have idol things to do… I’ll just be going then.” You replied nervously, trying delicately to remove Jeonghan’s hand from your thigh without rousing him, and stand up off the couch.

“No, no, it’s our day off you can stay as long as you like!” the leader winked at you cheekily.

“I bet you’d like that, wouldn’t you, Seungcheol?” You jumped as the sleeping boy next to you sat up from his laying position and slid his arm around your waist, possessively.

“Oh, Jeonghan, didn’t mean to wake you, I was just telling Y/N here that it’s our day off so they can spend the whole day with you!”

You tensed at that and turned your face, trying to get out of Jeonghan’s grip. You loved him, but being like that in front of the others, you just felt so exposed. Jeonghan must’ve felt it because he didn’t let you go only held you tighter.

“Seungcheol why don’t you come help me with the coffee.” Joshua’s soft voice intervened from the kitchen.

“Yeah, no problem.” S.coups called back, “But we or he’s all free today Y/N, you can cuddle and snuggle all you guys want.” though pronounced the ‘cuddle’ and ‘snuggle’ more like ‘cuwwle’ and ‘schnuggle’.

Jeonghan turned to you right after S.coups looked away, “Yah, I’m sorry abou–”

You started to get up from the couch, “I’m just gonna go Jeonghan, I don’t think we should be like this in front…” you trailed off.

“No.” he replied abruptly, standing up and blocking your exit.

“No?”

“No.” he took a second to regain his composure, “You don’t have to be embarrassed, just ‘cause of them.”

“It’s not that it’s–”

Jeonghan cut you off with a kiss. You could hear the audible gasp around the room as your boyfriend very firmly kissed you on the lips in front of 12 other people. You broke apart from each other and he pulled you into a firm hug. He whispered into your ear, “I love you, and they can all deal with it.”

“Jeonghan I–”

“You all hear that? I love Y/N and you can all deal with it!” the long haired boy announced to the room. He intertwined his fingers in yours and held it up so everyone could see. “I love Y/N. Got it?’

When he heard no denies, he sat back down and pulled you into his lap again. Grabbing the t.v remote off of the side table he asked you “So what should we watch?”

Dino jumped in, grabbing the remote rudely from his hyung, “I called tv dibs this last night, Jeonghan-hyung!”

He looked shocked for a second until you nudged him with your shoulder. “Hey it’s okay, as long as I’m with you, I’m happy.”

Jeonghan looked at you and smiled, “Yeah, me too.”
