I accept this as my new hc!
I wonder if botw Zelda wrote extensive notes about her powers. I wonder if she made as many copies and put them in as many places as possible, and preserved them in as permanent of a way as she could. I wonder if she told people how they worked as much as possible. Just so that if she ever has a daughter, she’ll never be as lost as Zelda was when her mother died

"Zelda?" Sonia's soft voice called. "What are you doing out here so late in the evening?"
Zelda looked up at the dark night sky. "I couldn't sleep."
She heard the grass rustle and glanced over to see the Queen sitting down next to her. "Is there anything I can do to help? Tea or a more comfortable bed?" Sonia asked, tilted her head slightly.
Zelda shook her head. "Thank you, though."
Sonia's hospitality always confused her. How welcoming and kind she was to someone she knew little of.
"Do you see the fireflies?" Sonia questioned, pulling Zelda out of her thoughts.
"...Yes. Why?"
"Well, I always find them pretty. Out here in the moonlight, you can see their green glow quite clearly."
"Yes they are...quite beautiful."
Sonia's eyes flickered with concern for a moment. Zelda wanted to erase that look from her eyes. They had more important things to worry about than Zelda. She could handle being separated from home for awhile longer...right?
"Have you ever tried to catch one?" Sonia asked, humming softly.
Zelda perked up, taking the distraction gratefully. "No, I haven't. Have you?"
"My mother taught me how. Here, watch closely."
Sonia stepped over to the group of fireflies slowly, her movements relaxed. She cupped one of them with her hands, the glow disappearing for a moment, before shining through slightly. “See? Would you like to try and catch one?”
Zelda stood up with a nod. Sonia smiled warmly. “Be relaxed and slow.”
The princess walked up, forcing her jaw to unclench, her shoulders to slump slightly. Very slowly and hesitantly she approached one of the glowing fireflies. She raised her hands up gradually, attempting to cup the bug in her hands. Unfortunately the bug escaped. “Don’t worry, Zelda. Try again.”
Zelda obliged, trying to be more slow and relaxed this time. She managed to cup it in her hands. A smile tugged at her lips. “I caught one! Er, what happens now?”
Sonia chuckled. “You can let it free.” She uncurled her hands and the firefly’s glow grew bigger.
“Do I have to?” Zelda pouted, studying the creature in her hands. “So much research potential!”
Sonia laughed. “If you want to know more about fireflies you should’ve asked. We have tons of books about them in the library.”
“Take me there!” Zelda said excitedly. “We have some back home but all the research has been destroyed.”
Sonia’s smile grew amused. “Not right now, Zelda. It’s quite late in the night. Tomorrow, though, we can spend as much time in the library as you’d like.”
Zelda sighed but nodded, sitting back down on the grass. Sonia made a soft noise that she could barely hear. Something warm and incredibly soft wrapped around her shoulders. She looked at it, and pulled the warm fabric closer. “I won’t demand you go back to bed, however you do need rest. Could you head back to sleep soon?” Sonia requested gently.
“…soon. You can head back to bed now if you’re tired. I can protect myself.”
“I know that well, little bird. I think I might stay up longer though.”
Zelda tensed at the nickname, breath hitching. Sonia seemed to notice. “Oh, I’m sorry, did you not like the nickname?”
“No-No it’s fine.” Zelda laughed, her voice wet. “I haven’t been called that nickname in a long time. It…surprised me is all.”
“If you say so. If it’s not a sensitive question, who stopped calling you that nickname?”
“The Gerudo Chief, Urbosa. In my time, she’s been dead for 100 years but I…she reminds me of you almost. You’re vastly different but similar in some ways.”
“I’m sorry for your loss.” Sonia said sympathetically. “What was she like?”
Zelda rambled about her, describing her incredible lightning powers and her fierce protectiveness, until her eyes began to droop. She yawned, leaning on Sonia’s shoulder by accident. “Night, mother.” She said drowsily.
She fell asleep before she could process what she just said.

I can TOTALLY see Hyrule having a deer form. And oh my gosh this DESIGN! I love the details in this!
My first post for this platform, I'm still learning how to use Tumblr.
I'm toying with the idea of what shapes the chain would take if it touched Twilight's shadow crystal. The deer seems about right for Hyrule, while the idea for a opossum came from the fanfiction "An Omen of Things to Come" (There will definitely be more opossum Hyrule drawings, another time).
Maybe I'll try drawing the rest, I have some ideas about what shapes the others would take, but if anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to read them.
Nota al margen: Mi inglés aún no es perfecto, por favor corriganme si me equivoco en algo/My English is not perfect yet, please correct me if I'm wrong about anything.

My Zelda analysis Part 1 is here! 🥳
Zelda Character Analysis Pt. 1
Child Zelda
Zelda’s Family
The first feeling many get about this topic is bitterness towards her father. But we must also remember that Zelda’s childhood was actually full of invention and adventure. At least… it was at first.
Zelda and her Mother
We’re told very little about Zelda’s mother (not even her name!). All that we do know of her is that she was VERY good friends with the Gerudo Chief, Urbosa, and that she possessed the Sealing Power passed down by the blood of the Goddess.
Zelda was very close to her mother, as Urbosa tells us in her diary (Entry 1). From what we read, the Queen wanted Zelda to have a happy life. Unfortunately, this wish went unfulfilled.
It is hinted in Creating a Champion that Zelda’s own mother might’ve prophesied Calamity Ganon’s return. There is little to no evidence in any of the games to support this, but I find it interesting that this was mentioned at all. If this was the case, I can’t imagine her heartbreak to find out her precious daughter would have to endure such a heavy burden.
Before Zelda’s mother got the chance to teach Zelda anything about the Sealing Power, she taught her how to create things. Yes, I’m aware that this is mostly only mentioned in AoC, but it just makes so much sense if Zelda’s mother was the one to inspire Zelda’s love of technology and innovation!
Unfortunately, Zelda’s mother died very suddenly when Zelda was only six years old. Although she never got the chance to teach Zelda about her Sealing Power, she did teach Zelda that she could do anything.

Zelda and her Father
There wasn’t always coldness between the two. By reading King Rhoam’s Journal (Entry 2), he shows no evidence of distingue towards young Zelda’s love of research, even AFTER learning of the prophecy.
It isn’t until the sudden death of the Queen that Zelda’s Father begins to harden and become more strict. At just age six, Zelda is thrown into training for her Sealing Power. This means that she had been training under her father’s watchful eyes for TEN YEARS by the time the BotW memories take place! (I feel so bad for her!)

Zelda’s Close Relationship with Urbosa
As mentioned earlier, the Queen was close friends with Urbosa. She even brought baby Zelda with her not long after she was born to introduce her to Urbosa. (I won’t say much more about this until Urbosa’s Analysis)
A year after the Queen died, Urbosa left for Hyrule Castle to see Zelda. Zelda hadn’t seen her in over a year by this point, but she left with Urbosa to one of the Springs to train (by “allowance” of the King btw). Although she tried so hard, she was unsuccessful at awaking her Sealing Power. Urbosa’s Diary describes Zelda as being heartbreakingly vulnerable with her after this incident.

Happy Easter Everyone! And Yes I’m alive!
Firstly, I must apologize about randomly going off the radar… I planned to spend these past 40 ish days with little to no internet activity and I ORIGINALLY was going to alert you all.
Apparently I never took that announcement off of drafts… 😅
But I’m here now!
I’m going to continue with my Link Project BOTW Character Analyses on my Main Blog, but this time I’m finishing them ahead of time so I don’t end up making you guys wait over a month for the next part. You can expect to see pt. 1 of Zelda’s Analysis by next week.
I’m also going to start adding those book notes I was talking about before my hiatus (Spoiler alert! I’m going to be talking about the Silent Patient by Alex Michealides).
For this blog, I will continue reacting to Linked Universe updates and other fan content. Remember, I’ve been off most of the internet for over a month by now so I will be reacting to A LOT of new and old content. Seriously though, of all times to announce the new Hyrule Warriors game it HAD to be during my internet retreat?!?!
I’m about to be a lot more active here on Tumblr so be prepared!

This is amazing! A whole NOVEL?! (I’m still a Malink shipper though)
Did you know that there is a novel licensed by Nintendo published in 1999, that tells the story of OOT where at the end it says that Link fell in love with Zelda and the sages wanted to see them together?

After watching A Hero’s Purpose the other day… I can’t deny this happening!
A concept:
There is no boss at the end of the dungeon. Turns out they just end up fighting each other. The teams didn't work out as well as Time planned, and tensions stretched past a snapping point. When there is no monster, all hell breaks loose as skilled warriors turn with no clear sides. The brawl only changes when a multicoloured hero, who's dealt with all the worst of infighting before, steps forward and splits. The one with the strength of four heros at hand fights the others, and demands they all step back and stop. He then lectures the chain on the dangers of believing the forces of good cannot do harm, that the idea of this team was volatile from the start, but he expected better and they'd best shape up if any hoped to survive this journey. They come out stronger and more ready to face what's before them, but now carrying painful regrets - and as a bonus all of them now have an intense fear of Four
#I’m scared now#although it could also be a nod to the#four swords#special ending in#a link to the past#it’s a possibility#reblogs#reaction#linked universe

I got into TLOZ all thanks to my cat!
It all started in May 2023. I had just graduated high school two days earlier and decided that I was going to go to bed after watching just “one” more YouTube video. No sooner had I thought that, my cat Elsa jumped on me. “Well… Guess I gotta stay on the couch! I don’t make the rules!”
I ended up coming access a video about an hour later called “Why is Link so hot?” Idk what I was thinking, it was almost midnight, the most Nintendo exposure I had was Mario and Wii Sports, but I clicked the video. Then I found another TLOZ video, and then ANOTHER!
By the time I went to bed, I had watched half of the BOTW cutscene movie on YouTube. Within the next two days, I had watched all of the Era of the Wild cutscenes, found a YouTuber to watch play OOT, and I even went as crazy to buy a Switch light!
It wasn’t until a few weeks later I found LU. Then the rest was history…
Here’s a picture from that fateful night of my cat sleeping on me:

Let’s keep this train going! (I hope you don’t mind being tagged!)
@luna-loveboop2 @skyward-floored @kikker-oma @clowns0up-felix @bokettochild
A question!! Maybe a chain?
When did you get into LoZ, and how?
For me, I played BotW years ago and really enjoyed it but couldn’t get really into any of the other games. About a year and a half ago (I think?) I happened upon Linked Universe. I didn’t know who half the cast was but I was SMITTEN. After that I started ALBW and it was all over for me.
No pressure tags

I watched A Hero’s Purpose Episode 6 yesterday and I’m still recovering!
For those who don’t know, A Hero’s Purpose is a fanimation by Major Link. It is about what happens to the Hero of Time 7 years after the events of Majora’s Mask. Although the episodes take a LONG time to release, it is worth it because they are so well made!
I’m about to share my favorite parts of episode 6, so if you haven’t seen it yet, please do! Especially if your favorite Link is the Hero of Time! They’re all on YouTube.
SPOILERS of episode 6 beneath this line

Seeing Sky’s face made me clap out loud because I’ve been waiting for this moment!

This fight I did not predict, but it makes sense. As sad as it sounds. Time found out that Sky was the first (don’t think too hard on this) and got rage full, wanting someone to blame. This fight was heartbreaking but inevitable! 😭

Then Sky finally shows that THEY ARE THE SAME! Although he does admits that Time’s life has been more… rough. Just wait until he has to talk to Wild! Sky may need backup!

This line… This LINE!!!! Oh my gosh! It’s not just a question about Time or Sky! It’s a question about ANYONE going through a hard time! Whether it’s as big as being chased by a demon king, or as small as getting an F on your recent test, we have ALL had a moment where we feel as though our lives are crashing down on us. Then we find someone else who has experienced something similar. And we ask them this question.
This episode shows heartbreak and loneliness, but it also shows hope and perseverance.

My mom was working on something in the background while I watched this. And just before the episode showed all the Links, I told her “I will loose my mind if they show something from Wild’s era” and not even a minute later, I see THIS! I lost my mind btw.

HE SAID THE THING!
