My name is Abed.
I’m a survivor from Gaza, holding on to hope in a world that has fallen apart around me. 💔
The life I once knew — my home, my family, my sense of safety — has been shattered by war. Today, I live among the ruins, trying to find a path forward through the rubble and heartbreak. 🏚
Every moment is a battle against fear and uncertainty. What was once ordinary — a safe place to sleep, a future to dream of — now feels like a distant memory. 🕊️
I share my story not to seek pity, but to keep hope alive — to believe that even in the darkest places, kindness can still find a way. 🤍
If my story touches your heart, please consider sharing it or offering support. Every voice, every act of care, brings me one step closer to safety. ✨
Thank you for taking the time to listen. 🙏

Hello, my name is Saja. I’m a mother to a beautiful 8-month-old baby girl, writing this from a place I never imagined I’d be — surrounded by destruction, holding on to my daughter while the world around us falls apart. 💔
We used to have a home. 🏚 A simple place, but it was filled with love. Now it’s gone. What remains are memories, silence, and an overwhelming fear of what tomorrow may bring.
Each day, I wake up not knowing if we will make it through the next. My daughter should be learning to walk, to smile at strangers, to feel safe in her world — but instead, she’s learning to live in the middle of a war zone. 🕊️
I’m not writing this to ask for pity. I’m sharing our truth because silence won’t protect us. Maybe, through this message, someone will hear us — and care. 🤍
If you feel moved to share our story or offer support, it would mean more than words can say. Every kind act ripples outward. ✨

Hi, my name is Mosab , I’m from Gaza, and like many here, I’ve lost more than I ever thought I could bear — my family, my home, my sense of safety, and the simple moments that once gave life meaning. 💔
I’m not writing this to ask too much of anyone. I’m sharing a piece of my story — not because I want sympathy, but because I still believe someone, somewhere, might care enough to listen.
If this message finds you at the wrong time, I understand.
I’m truly sorry if it feels like an interruption.
➡️ Please feel free to DM me if you'd rather not receive asks from me — I'll make sure not to contact you again. 🤍
✨ If you do feel moved to help — even by sharing — it means more than words can say.
Every repost, every bit of care, helps keep hope alive in a place that has seen too much darkness.
🙏 Thank you for taking the time to read.

Hi there 🌱 I hope you are doing well. My name is Naser, and I’m from Gaza. I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable, but I wanted to share a piece of my story — because right now, it’s the only way I know to try and survive.
This war has changed everything. I lost my mother and my sister. Our home is gone. What used to be a normal life — school, family meals, laughter — has been replaced by fear, rubble, and silence.
Now, I’m displaced with my three younger brothers. I’ve become their protector, their parent, their hope. We sleep side by side and I try to make them feel safe, even when I’m scared too.
We are trying to raise funds to rebuild our lives — to find a safe place, to go back to school, to have something to believe in again. I dream of going to university. My brothers have their own dreams too — of being a doctor, an engineer, just being kids again.
If you’re able to support us by donating 💌 or even just sharing our campaign 🔁, it would truly mean the world. Every small act of kindness brings us a little closer to hope.

Thank you for taking the time to read this 🙏 And if you'd rather not receive messages like this, please just let me know and I won’t reach out again.

how to study for social studies subjects
I’d like to think that one of my strongest focuses is social studies. I love learning about history, economics, government, e.t.c. and I do well on tests! I thought that most people had it easy when it came to these subjects, but throughout working with peers and friends, I realized that wasn’t true, so here are some tips to get through those subjects:
Memorizing will be your friend: This is one of my biggest tips that I still use for my social studies subjects. Memorize, memorize, memorize! Of course, you should first understand a concept or term before memorizing it, but it helps so much to know words. I use quizlet and knowt.io to help me memorize, but you can use a variety of ways to remember. This is especially helpful for tests, as you can help fill in the blank when reading through questions and other readings.
Trick your brain: One of the reasons I was so good at social studies subjects was because I was interested in politics and government. I’m really interested in the controversial aspect of politics, which helped me understand forms and branches of government, how the economy works, e.t.c. I’ve recently heard this tip on the internet, where people trick their brain into thinking that the subject they are learning is like lore for a tv show or novel, and it worked. Your brain will probably be more likely to learn if you make it enjoyable.
Use a variety of resources: A lot of social studies subjects will have more interesting and engaging resources to use, rather than like physics with a boring textbook and some reference videos. Topics like politics will have a wide variety of books, articles, news reports, movies, and even TV shows covering them. After understanding the concepts and things you may need to know, watching a political TV show can be a form of studying! You can learn to apply, discuss, and critique different forms and resources to apply to the thing you are studying.
Find ways to connect to the modern world: Social studies subjects are one of the easiest to connect to the media and the news; you will often find articles and reporters speaking about the economy, what's going on in the supreme court, and who is voting or pushing for what agenda. If you ever need to find examples to help you learn and study, just watch the news! It’s a great resource, and can help you apply what you are learning to the real world. Oftentimes, test-makers will give a question set in a scenario, where a country is going into a recession and you may have to explain ways to solve or help it e.t.c. so the news is a great resource to see it real time.

why some people dont study ✍(◔◡◔)
“Well, actually.. I don’t study.” You’ve heard this multiple times. From the class toppers, the people that seemingly don’t do anything, the people that shrug their shoulders and walk off with full marks. You gape in astonishment, and perhaps, in envy. All your hard work and hours slaving away.. All for a grade you aren’t happy with. How do they do it?
I’ve personally been in both situations, where I didn’t study and got good grades, and where I sacrificed so much for a bad grade. Here’s some reasons why people “don't study” and get good grades:
They have mastered the topic: This is usually the most common reason. Imagine you are taking a test, and the test is about addition and subtraction. Did you need to study for this exam? Probably not, since you have already mastered the topic. It’s easy to ace it (hopefully..). It’s the same for that person. They have already mastered the topic, from prior education or activities, so there is no reason to study for a test. The exam would be easy, and they have already moved on to harder topics. No need to try.
They are thoroughly engaged with the class: I have never needed to study for psychology exams (although I still practiced for them!). Why? Because I loved that subject! The teacher, the class, the topics, everything was so engaging to me. I was the one person with my hand raised, because I really loved discussing and engaging in that class. Listening in class was most of my studying. I did really well on the final exams, even without much studying (I still studied guys!) because I was having fun. Imagine someone gave you a test on your favorite book, TV show, or sports team, versus a boring subject test. You’d obviously do better on the test about the things you love! It will not take much effort when you love learning it.
They have memorized the types of questions during exams: Sometimes professors or teachers will not change the questions that come up on the exam, or the formatting for them. I ran into a similar situation when I was taking a calculus test. I had seen one exact same question on the practice exam, so I didn’t even have to check the answer or solve anything. I already knew the questions and the answers. The content of the exam is usually the same, especially during multiple choice or vocabulary quizzes. This may be the reason you looked over, but professors and teachers are lazier than you think.
They are lying: This is a harsh one, but it’s true. Sometimes people love to get praised for not studying and still doing well on a test, when they did the same thing you did. It’s even more obvious for bigger exams, like SATs and other cumulative final exams. There is quite a bit of content to remember, master, and practice. Even if you didn’t study, it’s probably not true. You may have mastered the material beforehand, or have some good practice tips and strategies.
And remember, don’t beat yourself up for a bad grade. And don’t compare yourself to someone who didn’t study. Look back and review; maybe it's time to implement some of those skills or new studying methods. Who knows, maybe one day you’ll have to take an exam you don’t need to study for!

hiii I've thought u would be the most appropriate person to ask this ever since I saw u made that chemistry post! anyways they've started teaching the inorganic/ organic part of chemistry for the school semester and I really wanted to study some older basic parts of chem again ☹️ especially organic chem bc it gets quite confusing for me but I really don't wanna get behind the current work by doing this [btw I've a super tight schedule but really any tips would help :)]
hello! thanks for stopping by. i can understand your problem very well, and for some brush-ups, depending on where you are in your chemistry knowledge, i think taking a practice test or quiz can help! its great to know where you really are and see what topics you want to focus on. and it also helps to see if you need to completely master something or if its not as much of a priority. from there, you can try to fit in small study sessions based on your schedule. i really loved using those cram videos that cover a bunch of topics. for mastery, i'd reccomend using khan academy quizzes, or even chemistry by bbc bitesize. they are fairly easy to use and easy to get through.
