Hello. I've spent the majority of today reading through your page here, going over as much of ur content as possible. I am planning to fly out of state to my 1st SPNCon in March. First, I'd like to say thank u for all the info u have already posted. As for my question, I purchased a photo op with Jensen & I wanted to see if u had any thoughts or suggestions on how to make an impression? For example, I had the pleasure of recently meeting Jared at my local CC & I was fortunate that he did affordable autographs & photo ops for everyone who bought tickets, not just for "Gold/Silver" passes. I was so nervous when I did my autograph 1st as I'm sure u can relate, I couldn't get my words out from under my tears & excitement until I finally gasped about how much SPN helped me in my darkest times. I also got to show him my SPN tattoo & that seemed to have made the encounter a bit more meaningful as he took a few extra moments with me & when the photo op came afterwards Jared made it a bit more personal in the moment. I know the photo ops go much faster than the autographs, so it's kinda hard to make an impact but I wanted to try & make the most of the opportunity with Jensen, as Idk if I'll ever get this chance again. I'd love to make him laugh or smile somehow & maybe return a tiny fraction of the joy he gives to his fans. Thank u ur time & for any advice or thoughts!

The photos do go fast and he does a lot. All I can say is be warm and friendly and happy. I have a feeling he always appreciates that. Obviously if you have a fun prop or pose that's quick and easy, he might twig to that and that could make an impression - but in the photo ops there's no time to chat. You have to move through pretty quickly. He's very lovely and very warm. Maybe you if just said, something like 'Thank you Jensen, this has meant so much to me' as you leave you might get something in return.

But the advice I always give to everyone is don't go in there with expectations. Don't work out in your head how the scenario is going to play out, because when it doesn't go like that, you're going to feel horribly disappointed.

Go in open to the moment however it presents itself. Enjoy the magic and energy of the room. Of the other fan's joy. Be friendly and warm with Jensen and he'll be friendly and warm back. Enjoy your time with him however it plays out. Because whether you make an impression or not, he will make an impression on you and that's the most important thing. He would be the first to say that it's all about your joy, not his. So just enjoy yourself :)

It’s just a TV show. One TV show out of hundreds. So why has it captured so many hearts, changed so many lives, and run for fifteen seasons?Because it’s so much more than a TV show.

I sometimes wish the friends I have who don’t watch Supernatural could experience, even just for a moment, the joy this show manifests in me. Not so they would understand me better, but so they could feel it too. That elation, that happiness, that exultation Supernatural brings to those of us who love it.

Tomorrow, Supernatural will take its final ride. The Winchesters journey will come to an end. And that is monumental.I don’t know how to say goodbye to Supernatural. I’m at a loss to express the swirling, tumbling emotions currently surging through me. I’m finding I’m constantly swallowing back a lump in my throat.

This show, this TV show that hardly anyone watches, has transformed my life. It has liberated me. It has brought friends into my world whom I would never have met, had it not been for our shared love of this glorious thing. It has changed my world gaze. It has made me want to try harder, be better, be kinder. It has caused me to reassess what’s important and made me chase that. It has helped me through the blackest of times, allowing me to see that darkness and light, happiness and sorrow can co-exist inside of me. As it does every day for the Winchesters.

I can never thank Supernatural enough for the last fifteen years, from the people who created and crafted it to those who watched it alongside me.I’ve been on this ride with so many people. From all over the globe. Fans and friends and members of the cast. We’ve all lived through this thing together. This common experience. No matter who we are or how our lives might differ from each other, Supernatural brought us together. And it will bond us forever. And I mean forever. Because not one of us will forget this amazing, brilliant, spectacular journey.

Tomorrow Supernatural takes its final ride, and damn, am I happy that I was on this odyssey with it.

I don’t know where Sam and Dean’s adventure will end.I just know mine will not.

I don’t know how to say goodbye to Supernatural. 

So, I figure, I won’t.

Flashback, February 13 2011, a small room at the LAX Marriott. It’s late in the day on that Sunday afternoon, and around 30 people are sitting on hotel chairs, facing Jason Manns and Jensen Ackles. Jensen is nervous. Like, glass of whiskey, nerves rolling off him, feel it in the air kind of nervous. This is the first time he’s done something like this. Sure, he’s sung a verse or two on stage in Rome, a harmony in London, backup on a couple of friend’s albums. But this? Not this. Not sitting down in front of a group of fans to perform a jam session. An actual set of songs. He tells those of us gathered on this special day, that he’s not a musician, he’s not a singer, he’s an actor who just likes to pick up a guitar and sing a little with friends. We all smile, and laugh, his nerves are crazy adorable, and we know he can carry a tune, we’ve heard him a bit. But then he closes his eyes, tilts his head back and launches into Rock n Roll and the Radio. I swear, time stopped for a moment, and every hair on every arm stood upright. Jensen couldn’t just sing, he could SING.

Flash forward to Vegascon 2015, and I was there, 3 rows from the front, when Jensen belted out his first full number on his own at the Saturday Night Concert. It was Sister Christian, and he rocked it. I can still feel the energy that engulfed the auditorium. The love that bounced off the walls as we watched this guy standing in front of us, starting to find his feet out there on the stage. The rock star blossoming before our eyes. The promise of the performances to come.

Now here we are, October 18 2019 and Jensen has released his first album. A collaboration with his buddy, singer songwriter Steve Carlson, of original songs the pair penned together and recorded in Austin.

I wonder what 2011, beanie wearing, whiskey drinking, nervous as all get out Jensen would have said if anyone suggested this was in his future. I’m pretty sure he would have said, “Nah, I’m not a musician, I’ll leave that to my musician friends.”

Jensen, you are a musician.
