Miya hc 🐱
I love the idea that Miya’s green hoodie is neon green or phosphorescent green.
Why? Since “S” is a place that’s more active at night than during the day, and most ppl come at night—and Miya too—it’s mostly dark or dimly lit. Cars and motorcycles are everywhere, with no designated paths, making it dangerous and putting Miya at risk, especially since he’s small and short in stature
Tumblr media
The neon green color gives off a sort of glow that reflects light, making him stand out and noticeable even in the dark, which reduces the danger to him
kinda like that :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In my opinion, since Miya’s clothes have many details and a neon color like that is hard to find in ordinary stores, perhaps his clothes were custom-made and designed specifically for him, not just random clothes he found in a shop. Especially his gloves, hoodie, hat, and tail—they seem well-crafted and tailored
Tumblr media
Given that it was mentioned Adam took Miya to “S” to train him to skate better,
maybe Adam also give him clothes made specifically for him?
Everyone in “S” has their own unique outfits that make them stand out and give them a distinct style.
tbh most of their clothes seem low-quality,
except for Adam, Kaoru, and Miya.
Kaoru is wealthy, so of course, he would have something high-quality. Adam is rich and has a personal tailor who handles his outfits for “S.” So, I think Adam’s tailor also designed Miya’s clothes to suit his taste
And even if there wasn’t a personal tailor involved, there’s still the tailor who appeared in episode 12. He’s good and matches the crazy tastes of the skaters in “S”
Tumblr media
Well i think it’s cute detail i hope it’s canon!

sk8 characters families hc
In my opinion, the biggest factor influencing a person and the main driver behind understanding their motives is their childhood—how they were raised and what their family situation was like
(My HC might not be accurate, but these are my predictions based on my own analysis of the character)
🌸:
I believe Kaoru was an only child. I’ve always imagined he was raised by a strong, single mother who prioritized his academic and professional success above all else.
Based on Kaoru’s personality, it seems his mother didn’t provide much emotional affection, such as verbal praise, appreciation, or physical closeness like hugs.
This doesn’t necessarily mean she was harsh; perhaps she showed her love through material means, like buying him wherever he wants and give him rewards or financially supporting his interests, like his interests in technology, while also giving him enough freedom to do what he wanted.
Being his mother’s only child likely made him value the friendships he has, even if he wears a mask of coldness.
In truth, he struggles with expressing kind words because he wasn’t accustomed to hearing or saying them. Yet, he craves them because he wasn’t emotionally fulfilled as a child.
🐯:
Kojiro most likely grew up in a large family with siblings, including younger ones.
His personality reflects someone who is considerate, socially, and emotionally intelligent, understanding and caring for others.
This is evident in how he treats Kaoru, who often acts childishly.
and in ep 6 Kojiro made sure the younger ones and Hiromi were in a better place with air conditioning and good food
Tumblr media
and he understands the broken and sad ainosuke and is the only one who noticed this problem relatively early.
However, this doesn’t mean Kojiro has a fully mature or parental personality, as he’s still young and hasn’t developed a complete sense of responsibility.
ofc, he puts up with Kaoru bc he have crush on him
and he wouldn’t take care of the younger ones or Hiromi unless he made sure someone other than him pays for their room and food.
even in ep 4, when he He came forward to take responsibility paying for langa and reki’s food he did not pay in full
Tumblr media Tumblr media
as for ainosuke , of course, Kojiro will try to analyze the problem since ainosuke’s his friend in the end.
But did he take a real step to solve the problem?
No, he just goes along with Kaoru’s plans, which lack a considerate and broader perspective on the issue.
That doesn’t negate the fact that Kojiro is a good person and can easily understand people from all walks of life and love to help ppl, but not in the correct and complete way
Kojiro not being someone who properly takes responsibility up to this point suggests that he might have older siblings.
Why? Because older siblings naturally tend to develop a strong sense of responsibility from an early age, and this doesn’t apply to Kojiro.
I also don’t think he’s the youngest sibling, as younger siblings are usually spoiled and less considerate.
He’s probably the middle child who helps his family when needed but not all the time, which is why he had the time when he was a teen to hang out with Kaoru and ainosuke all night.
🐍:
Tadashi’s deep attachment to the Shindo family seems puzzling 🥲😓
It’s clear he has no living family members to return to, or they are far away. He’s been serving the Shindo family for over seven years, sleeps in their mansion, and rarely takes vacations.
When he does take time off, he spends it sleeping all day
Tumblr media
It seems likely that his family is no longer alive or are absent for some reason.
I have a headcanon that the gardener in the mansion was Tadashi’s father since young Tadashi only helped with gardening tasks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
since tadashi identifies himself as the son of a servant , and he's hanging around Shindo's house even at night.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s possible his father also lived on the Shindo estate, and when he passed away, Tadashi continued to stay and work there as a secretary to remain close to ainosuke, bc he considers ainosuke his family ☺️
In summary:
🌸 Kaoru: Grew up in a family consisting of himself and his mother.
🐯 Kojiro: The middle son of a large family.
🐍 Tadashi: No longer has a family, so he is attached and loyal to the Shindo family, particularly to Ainosuke.
okeyy that’s it
thanks 4 read it & sorry if the text feels random and jumps between topics
i wrote this at 4AM & there’re a lot of thoughts i want to organize in my head 🙇‍♀️

Imagine Ainosuke (Adam) having an apple allergy—
lol, that would be so funny and ironic
+ ppl with that type of allergy could also be allergic to cherries.. 🍒:)

I always wonder who used to take miya to S before shadow?
Was it adam who pick him up? or did Tadashi take miya without adam to S maybe? or it could be one of the Capmen? Honestly,
I don’t think he would return home alone since S is a remote and abandoned mine

⚠️ 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐫 ⚠️
I haven't seen much analysis/insight into Langa's character, so I wanted to give it a try! I'm not claiming to be a good analyzer or anything, just sharing my thoughts and honestly rambling about a show and character I like a lot!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Langa could be considered the "Classic Main Character." He has the typical traits of a protaganist - especially his ambition, drive, stubborness, reckless behavior, and the tragic loss of his father. His story can easily be read as an "Underdog finding his place," but there's much more to him than that.
At first, he comes off as the aloof, cool type. Girls throw themselves at him. Guys think he's cool. He seems to be the complete opposite of Reki, who also seems meant to be a secondary character of Langa's story. But he isn't. Reki is the center of Langa's story.
By the time the first episode starts, Langa's father has been dead for a while. Enough time has passed that the wound isn't fresh, but not enough for them to have fully recovered, either. Langa's mother still acts like he's around, sometimes. Setting up his photo at the end of the dinner table, where he used to sit. Mumbling to herself about needing his guidance. Occasionally forgetting they only need two plates instead of three.
She's cheerful and kind, much louder than Langa is. But it's easy to tell that the house feels empty. There's a vacancy of something. An empty spot left by someone that just can't seem to be filled. A vacancy of real happiness.
Langa isn't satisfied with his life. Ever since his father died, he's just been making it through the day, every one more monotonous than the last, until they start to blur together. A passionless life where he doesn't particularly care for anything. When he goes snowboarding, he doesn't feel a rush anymore like he used to. And maybe, he starts feeling "fine" instead of alive.
Then, suddenly - his long, monotonous days are broken.
The first time we see Langa make a real facial expression is after he meets Reki. His facade of being the "Cool Guy" is broken. When Reki jumps over him on his board, he feels it. That thrill he got when snowboarding. And so, he clings to it. Skating and Reki.
His recklessness stems from his past with snowboarding - an even more dangerous sport than skating. He's used to airtime, quick decisions. For the first time in months, he's able to feel something. Langa's life had a purpose again.
In Langa's mind, Reki and skating are intertwined. Two of the most important things in the world to him. His mother admits herself that she should've put more effort into socializing him when he lived in Canada, which implies he's always been a bit of a loner and had trouble making friends. I imagine that after his father's death, Langa, an already quiet guy, became silent.
I think it's pretty clear Adam and Langa are meant to be parallels of some sort - they've both lost their fathers, have a crushing sense of loneliness, and a talent that seems to isolate them from other people. While Adam has had more time to grieve, it's difficult to tell if he ever really misses his father. He was clearly abusive, and didn't support his passions. He was an obstacle to Adam's love for life. Langa, on the other hand, had a father that kindled those feelings, and was a supportive figure in his life. He's still recovering from the loss of that.
But Reki coaxes Langa out of his shell. He reintroduces passion into his life. Passion for life. At first, he's awkward, but Reki really seems to get him. He's never really been a guy for physical touch, but Reki's closeness never really bothers him. Without Reki, he's forced back into that monotonous, meaningless life. One where there's no one but him.
Skating is an escape for both of them. An escape for that loneliness. But, like Adam said, it's lonely at the top. With no struggle, there's no rush or thrill. And life becomes a blur again. It's easy for Langa to ease into the "zone," because that's how he'd been living before he met Reki. A world where nothing mattered.
But, instead of leaning into it again, he's reminded of what life is worth because of Reki. The board he made for Langa snaps him out of that trance. And he decides to offer Adam a chance to leave that place, too.
Because, in a way, Langa and Adam are the only people who can really understand that feeling.
By the end of SK8, Langa has rekindled his passion for life. And he allows himself to leap into happiness - Reki's arms.
。 ˚ ︶︶✩︶︶‌ ₊ ˚ ︶︶✩︶︶‌ 。˚
Anyways, sorry for such a long ramble !! This stuff is probably obvious, but I have the most INSANE SK8 brainrot right now and finished my monthly SK8 rewatch yesterday sooo ... (╥﹏╥)

Analysis of SK8 Characters in(Worthiness, Trust Issues, Awareness, etc.) – Part 1 (Main Three Characters)
Reki
Reki has low self-awareness, struggles with self-worth, and has a diminished sense of deservingness.
Despite being passionate about what he loves—so much so that he turned it into his career—his dedication to his craft is hindered by his lack of self-confidence and self-appreciation. Whenever he faces a personal problem or an issue related to him, he immediately blames himself, constantly undermining his own value while excessively elevating those around him. His expectations of others are unrealistically high, and he needs balance in how he perceives both himself and the people in his life.
Reki requires self-awareness, either through external help or by realizing it himself before his struggles worsen. Although many characters in the story are aware of his issues, none of them provide real or serious support. Some, like Tadashi and Langa, either don’t fully recognize his struggles or contribute to his self-doubt.
However, what stands out about Reki is his high ambition. Even when Tadashi discouraged him, it had the opposite effect, reigniting his passion. As seen in the OVA, he regained his drive and aimed to reach the very star that once made him feel inadequate.
That said, this doesn’t mean he is fully healed. Reki’s emotions, ambition, confidence, and self-worth fluctuate greatly. He is either deeply passionate and ambitious to an extreme degree or completely hopeless and self-deprecating. There is no middle ground—he experiences either overwhelming joy or intense sorrow.
Langa
Unlike Reki, Langa possesses a relatively high level of confidence. However, his extreme indifference results in a somewhat low sense of self-worth.
His lack of concern puts him in constant danger—not just in terms of taking risks while skateboarding but also in his relationships, making him susceptible to manipulation and exploitation, particularly by adults like Adam, Kaoru, and Tadashi. These individuals use him to resolve their own issues, yet he remains unaware and oblivious to his surroundings.
This indifference also affects his friendships. He fails to recognize his friend’s emotions—whether pain, jealousy, or care. That said, I won’t be too harsh on him. He has just experienced the trauma of losing his father, who clearly played a pivotal role in his life, possibly even more than his mother.
In short, Langa struggles with a lack of awareness regarding his surroundings and the people in his life, which puts both him and his relationships in constant danger.
Miya
Miya has a high sense of self-worth but somewhat weak confidence.
He is a complex character—both difficult and straightforward to analyze at the same time… lol, I know that sounds confusing!😅
Miya constantly fears losing those he loves, a fear rooted in his past experience of abandonment. His friends left him simply because he surpassed them in skill, despite him never mistreating them. This experience led him to adopt a harsh approach in new friendships, as a defense mechanism to avoid reliving the pain of being left behind—similar to Adam, in a way.
Speaking of Adam, Miya shares many personality traits with him. Both belittle others to elevate their own worth, suppress their emotions, and give off misleading impressions about how they truly feel. However, in Miya’s case, his body language often betrays his attempts to conceal his emotions.
Despite his seemingly harsh demeanor, when faced with a real problem, he does not hesitate to show concern and attempt to help. However, given his young age, he lacks the necessary experience to provide truly effective assistance.
Overall, Miya is a good-hearted person who genuinely cares for others. He just needs guidance and help in reducing the defensive, aggressive behaviors he developed due to past friendship experiences—especially since his role model is Adam. That being said, I see growth in him, as shown in the OVA.
These are just theories and personal analyses. If you have any additions or different viewpoints, I’d love to hear them! I enjoy seeing different perspectives. ❤️
Some of these interpretations might be correct, while others might be wrong, especially since the characters’ backstories weren’t fully explored. The anime was short and limited in scope, meaning it didn’t dive deeply into every character. Even in interviews, their pasts weren’t a primary focus. So, these conclusions are drawn purely from what was shown in the episodes.
Thank you for reading all the way to the end! 😆💕

My analysis about kaoru sakurayashiki (cherry blossom)
Sometimes, I think Kaoru has a pathological attachment related to his fear of loss and abandonment in relationships in general. He cannot bear the idea of being left alone. He fears the notion that the world is constantly changing and that people do not always stay in your life.
Even as an adult, he has not yet come to terms with this idea. Instead, he continuously repeats the same behaviors he has exhibited for ages—such as arguing with Kojiro daily, even over trivial matters. It’s as if he deliberately seeks out conflicts, trying to recreate the same events from his childhood. Similarly, his desperate attempts to rekindle his relationship with Adam seem to be rooted in a desire to relive their teenage dynamics.
In his mind, Adam should remain the mysterious, fascinating figure who never ceases to amaze him, while Kojiro must remain the loyal friend with whom he fills his free time with competitions. Back then, everyone was content with this arrangement. But now, their personalities have changed, matured, and evolved.
Kojiro has become more rational and level-headed, uninterested in meaningless fights. Yet, he humors Kaoru because he knows exactly how to push his buttons. As for Adam, he has changed—not necessarily matured, but evolved due to circumstances. He is no longer the person he once was. In fact, Adam seems to despise his past self, the version of him from his adolescence. He now follows a new path.
Everyone’s perspectives have shifted and developed—except for Kaoru. He remains stuck in his unchanging mindset and world. Everything around him progresses, yet he refuses to acknowledge it, as if he is covering his eyes with his hands to avoid reality. What he hasn’t realized yet is that he, too, has changed. He is no longer as free-spirited as he once was, and even his appearance has transformed. And that’s okay—change is natural.
The illogical part is that while he accepts his own transformation, he refuses to accept the changes in those around him. He has a certain arrogance and selfishness that allow him to embrace his own evolution while expecting others to remain as he wants them to be. He never makes an effort to understand those around him.
For example, he does not try to comprehend what Adam truly wants. His plans and words never reflect an attempt to grasp what Adam has been through. He knows something is wrong, but he has never tried to figure out the reason behind it. He believes that by racing Adam and winning, Adam will magically return to him, as if life were a Disney movie where everything resets after a victory. But he has never considered seeking a better approach.
I do understand that Adam shuts down any opportunity for communication, but there are always better ways than forcing a race. The reason I believe this is because of Kojiro’s perspective. Kojiro does not think about racing Adam—he tries to understand Kaoru’s way of thinking instead. That’s why he doesn’t persistently push for things; he has realized that Adam is a lonely, sad person in need of support. However, Kojiro suppresses himself under Kaoru’s dominance and arrogance.
Kojiro’s personality becomes unstable around Kaoru. Normally, he provides some of the best insights and advice, but when he is near Kaoru, he becomes clumsy and childish.
Ultimately, Kaoru is a toxic person. Despite his loyalty and his desire to revive his relationships—especially the ones that matter to him—he goes about it in the worst possible way. All of this stems from a pathological fear, obsession, and a spoiled nature. Deep down, he is a good person, but he needs to realize that the world does not revolve around him and his desires. People move forward, and he must learn to keep up.
THANK YOU IF U READ ALL OF THIS I APPRECIATE IT ❤️❤️❤️
