I’m a mom of two kids and this is how I handle stress…
I’m a mom of two at the age of 28 years old. I got my first-born 7 years ago, so you do the Math when did I become a mom. :D As a first time mom 7 years ago, the pressure wasn’t that really hard. I had my mom and grandma to assist me whenever there were things that I wasn’t able to do with the baby. Aside from that, I also had my aunt whom I paid everyday just to help me in taking care of my…

Just don't call me FAT!
Just don’t call me FAT!
It was exactly five months and eleven days since I gave birth thru CS operation and the bad news is… I am still FAT. I thought I could shed all these unwanted fats easily but I was sooooo wrong. They really love me and they said that they’ll gonna stick around with me for few more months! Unfortunately, that is not a good idea! Believe me. Though I really wanted to lose weight that fast, but I…

10 Reasons Why He Is The One
10 Reasons Why He Is The One
My husband and I have been together for almost a decade now. He is my first and last boyfriend and I don’t regret having him as the only man in my life. In fact, I am proud of having him as my husband now. For nearly 10 years of being together, I never get tired of loving and admiring him for being himself. He is a comedian in nature and he always deals with life seriously and exciting at the…

Are You Proud of Me Mommy?
Are You Proud of Me Mommy?
I am not aware that today, Monday, is a very special day for all the students in my daughter’s school. Why? Because it’s their cards day! It’s time to receive and to know how well your child performed at school. So, I am a bit nervous and excited to see hers. Last Friday, I found out a small notice of paper telling all parents that today is their card distribution day, and we need to prepare…

She asked me if I am proud of her this morning for her achievement and I could say of course Anak! Mommy is always proud of whatever you've accomplished. No matter how high or low your grades are, I can see how bright and humorous you are. Continue to strive for success and be the best that you can be. Mommy and Daddy are always here for you. We love you anak. I'm pretty sure you lolos and lolas are very proud of you as well. Of course titos and titas pa pala...😂😂😂 God bless you more and guide you always. Always remember that grades are just numbers. They don't define you as a person but use it as an inspiration to do better. Keep it up! 🙏🙏🙏

Why Can't We All Love Like A Child?
Why Can’t We All Love Like A Child?
I used to get angry whenever I see my five-year-old daughter kissing, hugging, and even biting her old-rubbishy teddy bear, which was given to her by her godfather on her birthday some time ago. I am not pretty sure how old it is, but if you’re going to look at it, it seems like it was bought a decade ago. Kidding aside, one reason why sometimes I hate her hugging it, because it is really dirty…

Going All Out..
Elias.
This is the name that changed my ignorant self into an idealist one. I still remember way back in High School in which we study the works of Rizal titled Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. It was boring at first because the books that we had were written like a poem. All words rhyme with each other and with very deep tagalog words. It really made the phrases confusing and less exciting to read. But thankfully, We had a great teacher who made sure that we understand each chapter. This really made me so excited about the subject. One particular character that had me interested was “Elias”. His extreme loyalty to the nation and to Ibarra and his willingness to sacrifice his life really made me idolize this character. I can just imagine who Rizal mirrored this character into. So it was really saddening how Elias died on the first book.
After reading the two great works of Rizal, I came into a realization that the situation during the Spanish colonization period is very the same with the present situation of Philippine Society.
Spanish colonists were able to control the minds of the Filipino People using Religion and Societal Status. They were able to manipulate the Filipino people to bow before them by taking advantage of some, who are willing to kiss their feet just to have a good “STATUS” within their society.
Before, Spaniards were considered the “Elites” of Filipino Society. Some Filipinos are willing to denounce and shame their fellows just to be associated with these “Elites”. They think that just being associated by these elites makes their status great. And lo and behold! Crab Mentality was born!
And now with our present situation, These kind of Filipinos still exist. They are willing to bash and shame others just to be associated with the media and popular artists just to have a little acknowledgement from them. They think that being acknowledged by these people makes them “Sikat” and makes there status one up higher than their fellows.
Even our Hospitality trait can be debated. Foreigners would say that we are the most hospitable people in the entire world. I bet most of us would agree. But the truth is, We just wanna be associated with non-browns or non-Filipinos so that we can boast about it and makes our status higher. That’s how much the Filipino people value “Status”. They’re willing to bring others down just to level up their status.
And if we compare that situation before and the situation now, I can say that the Spaniards(Elites) before were replaced by the ever manipulative Media. And for you to be acknowledged by them and gain status , is to be ignorant and kiss their feet. Even to the point that we label someone “Sosyal” or “Jologs” just because of the stations they watch.
For me, It’s actually okay if the media just stick with the entertainment industry. But when it comes to Politics, It’s a very different issue. One cause of problem that some corrupt officials are able to stay within their power is how the Media manipulate their loyal viewers. Since these viewers want to be “Sikat” and raise their status, They always believe what their favorite stations put on the news. Even to the point that they ignore the real situations they see.
I can say that the Media can be compared to the Priests in the Spanish era and the Spaniards (elites) are the artists that are being handled by the media.
To break this cycle, is for some to wake up. They need to acknowledge first that our present situation is very wrong. Even if being shamed by those ever populous crabs.
For me, I woke up a long time ago. And I’ve decided what character I will become within our Noli Me Tangere chapter. I know there are others who thinks like me. But are just waiting for a Crisostomo Ibarra to rise. This is us going all out. We are The Filipino Elias.

The Pain That Will Never Go Away.
The Pain That Will Never Go Away.
You know that we are all getting there, but still it hurts when it is already in front of us and we can’t do anything about it but to accept and just cry. Yesterday, was one of the saddest moment in our family. One of the most important family members left us so soon. My grandmother died. It’s quarter to one in the afternoon when a phone call brought this gloomy news to us. I was speechless.…
