Ooookay yeah I’m getting very serious continued my human k.rool this is not a full illustration. It’s just color ideas. Skin color is so new. So yeah I almost got a right though. I try to make it look like the super Mario slugger. If you guys give me some ideas, what to add please leave a reblog no insults,

I think I’m going to wait for ep2 to arrive before I draw out my Steven Universe AU. I WILL however share some of my ideas planned :D

Here’s what I’m thinking:

Mel - A Diamond disguised as a Spinel. Diamonds are the prophesied humans of this AU, and Mel would have to shape her gem into a different direction, just like Pink Diamond.

Ken - Bloodstone Jasper. The colors on that gem are very similar to Ken’s color palette, and I thought it’d be fitting for him to be a Jasper considering his strength and physique.

Mud - Defective Lapis Lazuli. He can’t bend water to his will, but he CAN turn himself into liquid. He can form wings, but they’re made of slime. With how Mud’s whole thing is about how completely liquified he is, I thought it’d be funny if he was a gemstone that’s all about liquid. The only downside to this is that he’d be blue instead of green (I couldn’t find a green Lapis 😔).

Breadhead - Same place as Lars and Lion. Mel resurrected him by accident and the Smiling Gems adopted him.

The Virtues - Pearls. Diligence and Temperance share similar mannerisms to that of Pearls. Mainly Diligence, with how they’re hyper-organized and cheerful when everything plays by the rules. The Virtues also seem to be slaves to the Angel Mother, similar to the Diamonds’ Pearls in Steven Universe.

Anyway, here’s some of my ideas for the Steven Universe Gem AU. Feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions!

Alright!! Here’s the Golden Queen!!! In all her scarab glory, I’m really pleased w/ how she came out :)

I imagine she wears the gloves as a shorthand for not using her powers (she can like.. turn the Midas thing off and on idk) so it has some extra meaning when she takes them off

The second outfit she has on is for her part in… whatever I’m doing with the Senseis (they’re all a big pirate crew) and she’s essentially being held captive but she still has to serve (evil toxic situationship w/ Aurora….)
