IMPORTANT

hey guys!

so as i'm sure you've noticed, we're still working out a lot of kinks. that's the fun part about trying to do something totally new (and by fun i mean horrifyingly grueling). i appreciate you all hanging in there with us as we figure ourselves out!

it's been brought to my attention that a lot of you WANT to post (obviously - you joined the site) but are kind of confused or uncomfortable with doing so. a few more veteran-ed members have suggested going back to the traditional posting style for linear rpgs. i'm letting you all decide.

CURRENT FORMAT

members make linear threads in accordance to the site's general time. threads move from one into another without consecutive posting between locations. threads are fluid and allow people to enter and leave as necessary.

i like this style because it's easier on members and easier on me when it comes to making locations. however, it does have drawbacks. it makes things cluttered and kind of limits what members can do. it also makes organizing events and the like difficult for me. 

PROPOSED FORMAT (TRADITIONAL LINEAR)

locations consist of pre-made threads which characters move through in a linear fashion, following a general idea of time. all events occur at the same time. members can "fade out" between uneventful/unimportant movements (moving between locations without post-worthy events occurring) or for long periods of time (sleeping, knocked unconscious, ect). 

this is great for allowing action and a sense of fluidity. it also keeps things from being cluttered in the threads themselves. it makes events on the board and staff directed events more accessible and easier to orchestrate. conversely, it makes large posts more difficult to write and can make moving difficult. with the added "fade out" that is reduced.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE respond! i NEED to know what you think. you guys are the reason the site is around. if you have suggestions or ideas, send them my way. otherwise, it'll be just us who decide. 

ALSO, consider joining the staff. we always can use more help since the original staff was violated by real life.

hey all! pre-registration is now open! that means everyone who pre-pre-registered will have powers posted and accounts made. you will be given that information in an email from the staff.
