I made some digital art last week. Is this good and worth sharing? No. Am I proud of this anyway? Yes. I think the last time I “finished” a digital piece… was January 2019. Then July 2018 before that. I have done nothing but beat myself up—for everything, since I was in my early teens. I got frustrated with myself when I plateaued and nearly gave up art. I’ve been working to adopt a new mindset and it’s been years in the making but I’m confident its starting to show. I finished something. I even attempted a background for once. I learned a lot about working in CSP and using my pen display tablet more efficiently doing this. I’m hoping that I can continue to improve and practice, even when things are rather bleak. Doesn’t matter whether it’s good, it’s about the journey and not the destination. I make art for me.

I love talking about myself I may sound stupid or whatever but I guess it’s just one of my leo traits. I will talk about my life for hours and be in complete bliss that someone is so interested in me.

I've never been good with change. It gives me anxiety. Plus, I'm a very routined person, so when anything screws that up, it completely ruins me. I've gone through so much change in the last 5 years, I'm surprised my brain hasn't short circuited. I'm so adament right now on making my life so much better than it is now. I've learned how much life ebbs and flows and currently, I'm not moving. I feel completely trapped in a cage and I have no idea how to get out. So, instead of focusing my energy on the negative, I'm very determined to focus on the future and how to get there. I am learning not to be so hard on myself. This is a ongoing lesson. Every day I make blunders, mistakes or missteps in one thing or another. Usually it's with my words 🤐🤦🏽‍♀️ not intentionally, but I tend to speak from my heart and I wear my emotions on my sleeve and I also get really passionate about things and forget that people sometimes actually listen to me 😆😬😵 Today I nearly had a heart attack when my autocorrect turned beautiful into hateful on a happy birthday post 💩 thankfully this person knows how much I adore them... but it helped me realize too telling or showing people how much you care the other 99% of the time when my foot is not in my mouth makes a difference too. So while my lesson today was about what I say out loud it applies to what I say to myself too. Your inner voice is the most important thing because you can't turn it off and you hear it all day. I'm going to continue to work on both. Lately, I've let my insecure inner voice have more control than it should. You too? Something to be cherished, remembered, inspired and enlightened from. Too often we forget the most basic rules of graphic design, whether it is a few, seemingly fleeting words or a lengthy dialogue. We need to create white space, It’s the white space that separates the chaos of the colours, the pauses and the silences surrounding well chosen words that allow us to assimilate the conversation and nourish our souls.

So, I have been roped in to blogging by a couple of friends of mine. I haven't got a clue what to do 😂😂. Let me tell u all a little about me. My names Vicky, I'm a mom of what people would think is a lot of children, 4 to be exact. I work part time so be prepared for pics of me before I leave for work or whilst I'm sitting in the staff room waiting to start. Right the reason for my name . . . Well I'm part of a charity group called ofapuk (octopus for a preemie uk) where we make calming aids for poorly babies in nicu. I also make bags, also made from cotton fabric (or polycotton). I do alot of half asleep online orders and tend to forget what I'm waiting for. I have many bottles of gin, but I keep forgetting to drink it 😂😂 See, I'm really antisocial tbh, unless I'm at work and I act like a complete loon. I'm just fun like that. I tend to talk quite abit once u get me started, normally very fast as if my brain has been holding it in and wants to just let it all out at the same time. I get my words mixed up alot too. I'll be cooking, kids stroll in the kitchen and I'll say get out of the living room. I called the staff room the kitchen the other day too. I'm loosing my mind slowly don't worry. It's probably down to the man I chose to live with and have children with.
