birb! have you seen the new quadrant athletes and lando sponsoring a woman in motocross? so great to see.

I did! but I'm also not that surprised, Ria's been integral to Quadrant for basically ever, and Lando has always been supportive of women getting into motorsport

I remember that interview a few years ago where they tried to catch him out, saying something about F1 having an increase in female fans and Lando just cut it straight down with something along the lines of - heavily paraphrasing - "yeah, there should be more women in motorsport in all areas and it's great that there's more interest"

it's extra sick that they have a 'Quadrant Athlete' who is a female motocrosser though, and from a personal view all 3 of my cousins (female) on my dad's side of the family have been into motocross since they were like 8 and they were always in a minority of racers because they were girls/women, and with the growth of Quadrant I hope it just inspires even more 🫶

sitting here thinking about how chaotic dany's threshing was for her. drogon sought her out immediately, and when he found her, he said something along the lines of "you're mine", then seconds later set her on complete fire while giving her the relic ( which he wasn't supposed to do until they got back to the flight field?? and he overdid it . . . by actually setting her on fire ). but then, he didn't even take her back to the flight field?? he took her on a multi-week 'wake the fuck up' journey, leading everyone to think she was dead while her entire worldview got turned upside.

1. making trollsonas for trolls with explanations

2. branch is teal because he is the squarest troll alive and does everything by the book, he also sued creek once. vest is olive because lets pretend floyd is an oliveblood and since trolls don't have families they are platonic moyrals and branch is wearing his quadrants color and its very common in troll culture. branch is also already teal in movies.

3. cobaltblooded trolls usually have some kind of business, because they are mid aristocracy and guy is kinda rich judging by "glamping" episode in bgo series, he also made a lot of stuff to sell so he fits the stereotype. i thought about making him indigo because hes a big fan of drama (it's similar to loving art which is indigo stereotype) but it fits cobalt too.

his sign is a G mixed with diamond symbol..because he is..Guy....diamond

I also chose cobalt because guy has a lot of blue colors in his palette already (blue eyebrows blue eyes blue glitter undertone) and also cobalt trolls are usually very moraly controversial...SO ARE GUY'S HUMOR like... it's not high comedy for sure, his character is funny like a cobalt type of funny too.

alright so we all know that harrow is Maximum Goth and gideon is Jock Prime but trying to place the rest of canaan house was.. harder than i thought. a few quick explanations:

- the second house are similar in vibe (prep jock) but jody feels more prep and marta feels more jock

- the third is ALLLL over the place. babs is full prep and decently jock (prevented from being higher due to both arrogance and Skill Issue). corona is also prep, but less so, and also jock, but more so. ianthe is VERY goth but definitely not a jock and not that nerdy. tbh she deserves her own little box labeled just "freak"

- the fourth are babies and still figuring out who they are, but some things are immediately clear: jeannemary is semi-goth jock (in gideon's footsteps) and isaac is semi-goth nerd (in palamedes's footsteps). don't talk to me about those parallels or i'll cry

- the fifth get the prep nerd quadrant all to themselves. abigail is a nerd queen on the prep side of the line, but with goth tendencies (have you ever seen anyone who loves ghosts like she does???). magnus is her equal and opposite - totally prep, on the nerd side of jockness (and the only cavalier in nerddom). they're just parents, y'all

- the sixth. oh, the sixth. there should be one quadrant called prepgoth jocknerd and they should both be in it. as it stands, i compromised by throwing them both into moderate gothness (they're both just too weird to go prep) but pal at maximum nerd and cam at near-maximum jock. (her and corona being about the same level of jock felt right)

- it's a shame we don't see much of dulcinea, and it's a shame we see even LESS of protesilaus. dulcie is fairly into the pocket for both goth and nerd, for reasons i hope are obvious. protesilaus must be at least a little goth (he IS seventh) and a jock on account of his build and bodyguard nature

- fuck silas octakiseron, but like, he's an archetypal goth nerd and needs to be recognized as such. i could tell you two things about colum asht and one of those is his name, but he SCREAMS normie to me. he was built to be a battery and that's it. i think colum is the most neutral man in existence. frankly it's what he deserves <3 go girl give us nothing

- cytherea isn't on here bc i would need goth and prep to wrap around and meet each other in three dimensional space. she is neither jock nor nerd but some secret third thing (lyctor)

Leia Organa, Star Wars: everything. y'all know her. but to be clear in her very first scene she lies directly to vader's face without blinking. then iconically takes charge of her own rescue missions bc luke and han are useless. then she outlives that main trio, is a force user, senator, general, and everyone loves her.

Seven of Nine, Star Trek: severed from the Borg collective after spending most of her life with them (she was assimilated *as a child*), she found a way to reconcile her human and her Borg heritage, and helped her new "collective", the Voyager crew, overcome all the obstacles that the Delta Quadrant threw at them - including the Borg themselves. Never afraid to speak her mind, she impressed Kathryn Janeway into a relationship some see as friendly, some see as romantic. After Voyager returned to the Alpha Quadrant, Seven joined the Fenris Rangers to do good in places that the Federation did not (want to) reach, and in the process saved the day for another Starfleet captain (and former Borg!), Jean-Luc Picard. Snarky, standoffish, with a heart as big as the galaxy behind a barrier just a tiny little bit more penetrable than the final frontier, she proved her humanity all over again - including serving as queen for a lone Borg cube and coming back from that! And then she gave us the first canon lesbian couple, with Raffi, and later was promoted to captain of the newest USS Enterprise - the first canon queer/wlw captain of the entire show! (okay I'll stop now)

STAR TREK: PICARD: 3x05: "Imposters": What's up with Jack?

Beware: Season 3 spoilers! If you have not watched the first five episodes of STAR TREK: PICARD season 3, get thee to your streaming device and watch! Then come back for some crazytalk 23-and-me speculating. =)

So! I have some kooky thoughts and theories about Jack Crusher's heritage…

1. PART BORG.

Jean-Loc passed his residual connection to the Borg collective on to his son. When he was a child, he had terrifying nightmares, which were actually visions of disoriented, perhaps crazed & dying Borg, as the Collective disassembled in the years after alternate Janeway's infection of the Borg Queen. Dr. Mom was able to come up with a treatment that rid him of the visions so that he could sleep. Whether she somehow only treated the nightmare symptom or actually learned of and addressed the Borg-y root of the issue, there's no telling yet. Years later, Jack is once again receiving messages and information via this psychic link, originating from a Borg, ex-Borg, or Borg-adjacent entity.

2. PART PAH WRAITH.

At some point before JL's visit to Casperia Prime w BC, a Bajoran tablet came into his possession and was accidentally broken (seen in JL's home in season 2). This released a Pah Wraith which had been imprisoned within. The Pah Wraith possessed JL, but did not assume full conscious control. Instead, realizing that his host was already taking steps toward the PW's own goal, it rode shotgun in JL's mind and body, and let nature take its course. Together with Beverly, JL and the PW conceived the Pah Wraith version of the Prophets' Emissary, a mortal who can commune with the Pah Wraiths and serve as their autonomous agent in the mortal realm.

Red eyes have been seen to be a sign of possession by a Pah Wraith.

Ben Sisko's mother Sarah was fully possessed by a Prophet when she met and married Ben's father Joseph and gave birth to Ben. In Jack's case, the PW possessed JL after he and BC were involved, so the PW did not need to exert active control of JL to bring its progeny into the world.

If Sisko is the Emissary, what is Jack? I have a feeling that he may be the Eschaton or perhaps the Sacrifice or Offering, a being fated to bring about a cataclysm (freeing the PWs and/or trapping/killing the Prophets?), possibly killing himself in the process.

When Seven shot the Changeling wearing Sidney La Forge's form, the Changeling's eyes went red on its death. Not quite the same effect as with Jack's eyes, but I'm gonna say it's close enough for now. To me, that means that at some point a Changeling visited the Fire Caves of Bajor and left with a Pah Wraith passenger, maybe possessor, maybe partner. I haven't decided if PWs would be controlling rogue Changelings (and other non-Changeling hosts?) or are partnered with them. In either case, would every Changeling be partnered with a PW or carry a fraction of a single PW (I don't remember seeing that in PWs or Prophets before), or Sideeye/Sidney was the only or one of only a few Changeling's possessed by a PW.

PWs and Prophets appear to their faithful and agents as familiar faces and voices. We are hearing the PWs call to Jack in his visions in the voices of people he knows. Perhaps JL has translated enough of the tablet's inscription to know or say the right thing to free his son from a dark destiny. Or—Beverly's influence, guidance, and love will prove that nurture can overcome nature, and JC will throw off the fate the PWs planned for him, Hellboy-style.

3. PART 8472.

While pregnant with JC, BC used the genetic modification techniques of Species 8472 to eliminate the genes responsible for Irumodic Syndrome, inherited from JL. These techniques were acquired in an exchange of information between Voyager and the 8472 humanoid mimics in the Delta Quadrant. BC employed 8472's techniques without adjustment, and in doing so—knowingly or not—boosted some of JC's baseline physiological characteristics because the mods included and assumed some of 8472's natural attributes, including a powerful immune system, a very resilient healing factor, and telepathy. JC does not have these attributes at the level of an 8472, but at a high level for a human.

8472s in humanoid form had to learn to sleep, as their original bodies do not need it. This is how JC, as a child and now as an adult, can go for days without sleeping. His visions are a consequence of some entity or entities tuning into his latent telepathy. His BOURNE IDENTITY-like fighting prowess is also enabled via telepathy, either by remote control or a psychic "download" of skills.

If this crazytalk turns out to be even close to accurate, I really hope that his vision experiences connect to a conspiracy of warhawk 8472s who are masquerading as (meatier) Changelings in order to frame the Founders for a series of terrorist attacks and plunge Starfleet and perhaps the Alpha Quadrant back into war with the Dominion.

NB. The genetic modification of JC makes him an augment, forbidden and outlawed in the Federation. This is another reason that BC cut herself off from her friends and Starfleet.

4. PART CHANGELING.

While pregnant with JC, BC used the genetic modification techniques of the Founders to eliminate the genes responsible for Irumodic Syndrome, inherited from JL. These techniques were reverse engineered from studies of Founder, Vorta, and Gamma and Alpha Jem'hadar biology. The Founders engineered their follower species and could dial specific physical and mental qualities up and down as desired. Embedded, but perhaps not recognized by Starfleet or BC herself, in the Founders' mod processes are traces of Changeling genetic sequences, the creators' signature on their work. Combined in human DNA, these sequences express themselves in an enhanced immune system and healing factor as well as a psychic connection compatible with Changeling linking.

The psychic connection resulted in JC's childhood nightmares, which BC treated. There's no telling yet if she only treated the nightmare symptom or learned the root cause of the issue, but she is recognizing its return now.

NB. The genetic modification of JC makes him an augment, forbidden and outlawed in the Federation. This is another reason that BC cut herself off from her friends and Starfleet.

5. MIX AND MATCH.

Like, he's part Borg—maybe thanks to Jean-Loc's nanoprobed sex cells, or maybe thanks to actual Borg-rewritten DNA—and an Irumodic Syndrome-free augment! Or—he's part Borg, which is where his visions come from, but also playing host to a Pah Wraith, which is where the voices and ninja skills come from. Try one of your own!

I've had several more notions that I couldn't quite extrapolate into meaningful theories, but maybe some new pieces will fall into place for them in episode 6. If they do, I'll try to work them out in another post.

Hii!!! I took super long to answer this since I was (and am still) on vacation! And now I’m super sick w a cold so I finally have time to sit and write the lengthy response I wanted to TwT

Ok so ima tell you about two of my fav characters :D ok I’ll start with my bby Magma

So Magma, or 078032 as she is officially known, lives in a dystopia. Now, I’m still working on this world and I’ve done and redone it so many time ToT so I’m not really gonna get in specifics, but basically she has to work in harsh conditions almost all day as a metal worker. Metal gets shipped to her quadrant and her and her coworkers have to mold it into whatever is ordered. Her sister was killed because of defiance but she denies her sisters entire existence because it hurts less that way.

She used to be pretty defiant and bold until her sister died. Now she is overly nervous and never talks. She has the spine of a wet piece of cardboard and will avoid confrontation by all means possible. She does NOT have ur back. I would die for her. She joins two rebels because they lie to her and say that if she does she will be promoted to a noble in the queens office (Magma is a major suckup). She then ends up falling for one of them bc they have so much enby swag. Big plot stuff happens, the rebels end up thinking she’s cool and it’s emotional bc she was planning on turning them in and they were planning on ditching her but now none of them want to do that.

Basically she is my fav girl and all I do is draw her and think abt her. She’s tall af too and I love her.

The next one is Bella. Same story as Magma, but she’s the evil queen! Kinda. She’s the public face of the country, mainly because she’s young and beautiful (40 looking 25, yk) and very easily idealized. Her mom does everything behind the scenes and basically tortures her. Now this is not to say she isn’t to blame for everything being awful. She’s an absolute scum of a person. But I love her.

Her story is very long and convoluted since it has gone under far less reboots than Magma’s, so I’ll simply it. Her family consists of her, her mom, her dad, and her brother (ftm). Her mom is v homophobic and transphobic and very very abusive. Her dad tries to leave with her brother but her mom ends up killing her dad in a fight. Her brother runs away and is presumed dead. She decides to just do what her mom says after that.

Important to the story is her good friend Reeha. They are lesbians. Very secret lesbians but very lesbians. Reeha tries talking bella into realizing how messed up her country is and during one such outburst, Bellas mom catches on and orders Bella to administer this chemical that wipes Reeha’s memory and basically makes her brainless. It’s worn as a crown, think the ice kings crown how it changes him. Anyways, that isn’t enough and so her mom makes her slash Reeha across the face with this sword thing (it’s v symbolic and stuff but I don’t have time to get into it) and Bella does. And then she’s like super depressed and stuff. Like she’s always been, but it’s like. Really bad now.

Magma and Bella meet at the worst points for both of them, and it’s very interesting. I haven’t really decided what to do after this.

I saw a little trend going around of designing characters based on what comes up when you shuffle your playlist! The first song determines their aesthetic, the second song determines their personality, and the album cover for the third song determines the colors.

The wretch at the top has the aesthetic of Forever by Emezie, the personality of The Tragic Events Of September by Evelyn Evelyn + Dead Girl Walking (Reprise) from Heathers (there are 2 bc I tried to let her be happy rip) and the colors are pulled from Steam Powered Giraffe's album The Vice Quadrant, Pt. 1. She is having an Extremely bad day. I want her shoes in real life.

The songs rolled for the second one were even crazier-- this recent divorcee has the aesthetic of City of Stars from La La Land and the personality of Somebody I Used To Know by Gotye. Absolutely hog wild coincidence. The colors are from the cover of Hawaii Part 2 by Miracle Musical.

The bottom character actually ended up being adapted into a DnD pc! Asira is a Tiefling bard obsessed with the 80s who has the aesthetic of Candy Store from Heathers, the personality of The Queen of White Lies by The Orion Experience, and the color scheme of Mean Girls The Musical!

why the hs quadrant system is Fucking Ass

there are 6 chess pieces: the king, the queen, the bishop, the knight, and the pawn.

here’s my take on what each piece can represent.

THE KING: traditional human love, aka the flush quadrant; the king, in chess, is protected by the other pieces- held together by a bond of trust, if you read too far into it, which is why it’s perfect for redrom, imo.

THE QUEEN: kismesis, or pitch romance. the queen is the punisher- if you make a mistake, she destroys you and leaves you to rot, similar to how pitch relationships are fueled by hate or disgust; you destroy your kismesis and inadvertently help them grow as a person.

THE ROOK: a supporting piece, especially for the queen. one of the most common captures is a rook-queen ladder, and so it makes sense to have the rook be traditional auspitism, as a supplement to blackrom.

THE KNIGHT: it attacks on its own, and doesn’t supplement either the king or queen traditionally- typically, it is used for piece development, which is why i’m going to go on a limb and say it should be standard moiraileigence. it keeps the structure of attacks together- sometimes, without a knight in place, a piece is taken too easily, and everything crumbles. moiraileigence is a close bond in which both parties work through their hardships together.

THE BISHOP: it is an attacking piece also used closely with both rooks and queens to capture and control play. this is why it would represent what i’d like to call pitch moiraileigence. this is because it supports blackrom, but can also be used on its own- sometimes you need to yell at someone until they shut up and better themselves. sometimes, it works.

THE PAWN: red auspitism. it supports the king, and is typically used early-game to control the center, but late-game it is used to make a final push for control of the board. sometimes you get too caught up in protecting the king (or a flush relationship) to notice other things happening across the board.

Anyway, the next new Trek show needs to be a vlog format show of Borgati on La Sirena on her way to the delta quadrant, where Agnes is constantly arguing and annoying the borg queen into having morals and Respect For Others. 

For about a century.

 At some point they get a cat. Agnes names it Elnor. Elnor becomes Borgnor after a while because neither of them want him to die of old age. The queen insists it’s all because of Anges bc she hated the fuzzy monstrosity but Agnes knows she’s lying (it’s hard not to notice the queen petting borgnor’s ears and telling him he’s a pretty kitty when they share a body) and she won’t let her live it down. 

They spend 20 years arguing over the necessity of eyebrows. 

Agnes loses.

Claws trace over burnished silver, following phantom paths where pain had been thwarted, scales protected, allowing her to spit in the face of her failures; to get up, and fight on. Places where the links had once snagged, bunched together, that she had been helpless to fix, no mater how carefully (or forcefully) she picked at them with her claws. All gone, but for the faintest stains.

Claws trace, and trace. Skimming from memory to memory. Slowly. Until, finally, her claws still, and, ever so gently, she presses her hand down, calluses against silky metal links, chilly despite the ever burning forge.

She bows her head, delighted smile fading, and stares at her old armor made new, and her time warn hand against it. Rough bronze against shinning silver. And, oh, how the forge fire lit the links up, setting them to dance with little licks of light. How dark her dull scales seemed in comparison.

Dull. Blackened. Burned.

“I did try to scap it.”

After his confessions peter into silence, her own words fall out to fill the tense air. Her back stays turned to him- unable to look him in the eye.

“Tried a few times to make myself get rid of the thing. Never could go through with it. So, I stuffed it in the old mans armory for awhile- tried to forget. Then, I was old enough to start those old quadrant supply fights, and, well. You remember what the donated crap was like. None of it ever really could compare. It was that shoddily crafted shit we had to work with that drove you to learn the forge, right? Even back then, you were to fucking talented for your own good, ya’know that?”

A small laugh and a sigh, all rolled into one, escape her. She drags her hand down, lightly petting those perfect glittering links.

“But, those battles weren’t broadcast, were they? And I never saw you in the audience. I always looked, even though I knew better. I mean, I certainly wasn’t going to slink over to watch you fight in the snow. And I know you wouldn’t have wanted to be so close to the queen in that small crowd.

“Still, I wore it, every fight. So, why wouldn’t I wear it to the grand opening brawl of the Arena? Especially when, by that point, it... might as well have been a good luck charm to me, alongside the old mans axe.”

It had been more than a good luck charm- something like a safety blanket, comforting in its promise of safety, and the small reminder of happier, simpler times.

She still remembered it. Axe in hand and wrapped in glowing armor, Garrison at her side, she had stepped out into the battleground and felt invincible. Despite facing six other opponents- some of the best of their home quadrants- she had known they would win. Nothing, no one, could stand in their way.

And she had been right. Until the announcement from the queen- the last, final rule, hidden from all until only they remained.

“And with that, it seems the Axe and Hammer of Waterfall are the last ones standing! And what a bloody brawl they’ve given us- I think I can hear the G changing hands as we speak! Now, now, folks, don’t be so hasty! Keep a tight grip on your money, and sit tight- ‘cause we aren’t done yet!

“How right you are, Grimm. After all, in the Arena... there can only be one Champion.”

She remembered Garrison’s eyes, when she had turned to face him. The tire, the resignation, in those old, sad eyes. The terror, as she had walled him off with spears of light, as she turned from him, and directed her righteous fury at the bitch that dared flip the game on them.

Of course it was dooming herself. It didn’t matter. She wouldn’t kill the last monster that loved her, and she refused to make him kill her.

How ironic it was to be the last monster on earth to look like the dragons of lore. How ironic, when she had burned, burned, burned...

She desperately wishes Arius hadn’t been there to witness it.

“Heh, ya know, I think the only thing that ‘failed’ in the end was the fact that this things short sleeved. Maybe if I hadn’t been so stubborn about sleeve-length all those years ago, I wouldn’t’ve lost this, eh?”

She raises her other hand up over her shoulder and wiggles her metal fingers. Shoots her friend a sharp toothed, teasing grin over her shoulder. A somewhat horrible way of comedic coping- but, it was just how she was.

Is the Borg is in the Star Trek au

Oh, maybe? I actually haven't thought a lot about them for this (mainly bc as much as this AU is paralleling TNG so far, my favorite Trek is actually DS9, so I'm usually thinking about Cardassians and the Dominion as far as Trek antagonists go).

I think for now I'll say that the main focus won't really be on any of the above factions, Borg or otherwise. They'll still be there in the galaxy, but I think I'll bring in the DT element more here with the Moonlanders being the invading enemy, especially with Della getting lost still being a major storyline. (She just won't be lost on the moon since, y'know, that's all populated and stuff now.) Maybe the Moonlanders (they'll probably need a different name?) kidnapped Della? Or I did say that she got lost during an ion storm, so maybe she ends up on an unexplored world that belongs to the Moonlanders (perhaps she really went through the wormhole to the gamma quadrant, or ended up in the delta quadrant à la Voyager?).

Plenty to explore there, but two takeaways for now is that I think I'd like to amp up the rivalry between Scrooge and Lunaris (if he's to be the equivalent of the Borg Queen), and that Penumbra comes back to the Klondike with Della, whenever that is, and besides them becoming gfs, Penny becomes a tactical/security officer over time.

Everyone thinks the bakusquad chat is crazy and while they’re right, the izukrew chat is just as wild

They have probably planned acts of vigilanteism in here I mean what?

The chat has definitely made at least 164 different plans to kill End**v*r, just in case. They aren’t gonna actually use them they’re just a precaution & a way to vent (probably. End**v*r better watch what he does tho). Someone in the squad had a bad day? Make a plan to kill End**v*r, you’ll feel better. Todoroki doesn’t always contribute, & they always ask him before they make a new plan to make sure he’s still okay with it, but he appreciates the support & knowing that his friends love him and have his back

Uraraka talks in the chat the most, followed by Todoroki (if sending memes counts as talking), Midoriya, Iida, and finally Tsuyu who lurks a lot but doesn’t respond as often as the others

They have a “days since Midoriya last injured himself” counter that they update daily. The record was 15 days. The average is 3.

They change each other’s nicknames often. They have free reign as long as it’s not too mean, and chat rules say they have to keep whatever their name was changed to for at least a week. Sometimes they match names/ have a theme. Sometimes they bring their name changes over to the main chat too.

There is a designated “Iida Appreciation Day” when the chat is especially nice to and appreciative of Iida that happens in the chat every few weeks because they realize that they as a class are a Lot to deal with & even tho Iida is way more chill in the chat with his close friends than he can be in the main class chat they know he still feels responsible for them & does a lot for them. Iida does not know about Iida Appreciation Day (but when he finds out he is super touched & maybe cries a little bit)

Todoroki is king of the really weird, really abstract memes. The rest of the squad has no idea how he finds them & is kinda too afraid to ask

He also has a reaction image for everything and like,,, he just HAS them he doesn’t look them up, which the rest of the squad realizes cause he replies way too fast to have looked it up on the internet. They are in awe of his power

Besides the izukrew gc, only one person knows that Todoroki memes, and that’s Kaminari, because Todoroki likes to t-pose & do other meme things while Kaminari is looking at him & then as soon as anyone else is about to see what he’s doing he immediately stops. Kaminari is going crazy because nobody will believe him that stoic Todoroki, who has the greatest deadpan expression ever, memes. “Todoroki? Are you sure? Kaminari maybe you’re sick, he doesn’t know memes remember? We yelled ‘this b*tch empty’ in front of him yesterday and he just stared blankly at us.” “BUT MINA I SWEAR I SAW HIM DAB!” Ashido and Sero tried to catch him doing it but gave up after a while, stating that nobody is that good at hiding their meme knowledge. The rest of the izukrew knows obviously but feign confusion because 1) it’s funny and 2) Todoroki is genuinely having fun. When Todoroki eventually reveals to the rest of the class that he can meme, he apologizes for pranking a very vindicated Kaminari.

Iida likes those memes that combine several memes. He sends reaction images that are just memes without text bc he knows his friends will understand exactly what he’s talking about

He’s also king of photoshop & totally uses those skills for evil - he’s rly good at putting Lucky Luciano into pictures, making his friends break into a cold sweat as he sends a picture to the chat that is seemingly the exact same as the one the last person sent. Since they’re so competitive they have an ongoing competition to see who can find him first (Iida keeps the score. Right now Tsuyu is winning, but the ranks change often)

He, like Todoroki, pretends not to know memes, but takes it a little further & pretends not to know teen slang either so he can misuse it in front of people & laugh at his classmates cringing (Iida: Seatbelts are important. As Ashido might say, they are “totes yeet, yo!” Ashido: //crying// IIDA NO! Iida: Does that not mean that it is very important? Ashido: //crying louder// NO!!!). Some classmates attempt to “teach” him but he “just does not get it”. Again the izukrew pretends not to know because it’s funny.

Uraraka is queen of wholesome memes. She has so many “I love my friends” memes & always has cute images ready to send in case anyone is sad or stressed. Everyone in the chat would die for her no questions asked (she will use this to her advantage one day probably).

She also really likes spongebob memes and uses them often. Her favorite is the one where spongebob is wearing those pink frilly glasses

While she is queen of wholesome memes, she’s not afraid to tease anyone & often sends smug/teasing reaction images. Nobody is safe, especially if they tease her first, & if there’s a competition in the chat she goes all in. When she wins anything it’s like “[You’ll Float Too]: (dignitylaugh.gif) whats this? it seems i have won our little competition...” (But then immediately after she sends her first victory message she’s like “lmao jk good game”)

Midoriya sends links to random ass YouTube videos to the chat at 3 am. Sometimes the videos aren’t even memes they’re all might documentaries or something he thought was interesting or thought one of his friends might think was interesting or videos someone made about how they trained their quirk that he thinks might help someone but sometimes they’re completely nonsensical. It’s like a roulette wheel every time someone clicks a link Midoriya sent. Sometimes the chat makes bets about the contents of the video before anyone opens it. Most of the time they’re all wrong.

He doesn’t rlly have a favorite style of meme, but he always has a million specific variations of whatever meme is popular at the time and all past popular memes. His phone camera is like a meme record. He’s rlly good at finding vine comps with good but not rlly well known vines.

He also infodumps in the chat sometimes bc they let him & he is really grateful that his friends are actually interested in what he has to say

Tsuyu sends memes that roast the sh*t out of everyone in the chat. When one of her friends is doing smth stupid she totally calls them out in the form of memes (she’s really good at finding those tiktoks that feel like they are roasting you specifically). She’s a comedic timing genius and knows just when to send things (& because she doesn’t use the chat as much that makes it even funnier). She also is, rather predictably, fond of frog memes

She also loves making those alignment chart type memes (& the ones with like the triangles or the four quadrants) & makes them for/about her friends & classmates often. She is scarily good at reading people and hits the nail on the head 99% of the time. Sometimes she sends them to the main class chat too and the rest of the class is like ?!?!?!?!?!?!

Because she’s a big sister, she often sends reminders to the chat to take care of bthemselves (Iida does this a lot too, but sometimes she has to remind him because he’s so caught up in caring about others he forgets to care about himself. Actually everyone in this chat is guilty of that including Tsuyu smh). Since the others make sure she takes care of herself in return, she’s really grateful for her friends

Bonus hcs:

Aoyama, once he is added to the chat, become the expert at sending selfies of himself looking directly at the camera while a member of the chat is distracted in the background, not seeing him. The chat makes it a game to try and spot Aoyama before he can get a picture, but Aoyama always wins. When asked how he can escape the detection of even those who are always on edge/have been trained to notice every little movement, he just smiles and says “it’s a secret~!”

Shinsou, who eventually replaces M*n*t* in 1A bc this is my city & grape boy is gross, does a thing called “insomniac hours” where he will send a random question to the chat at like 3 am & Midoriya, who is almost always awake then (or sometimes Todoroki Tsuyu or Uraraka if they’re up, and very very occasionally Iida), will give him a super detailed answer. Sometimes during the day the chat plays a version of this where Shinsou asks an obviously nonsensical question and the rest of the chat has to come up with long, nonsensical answers & then votes on the best ones. Many inside jokes were borne from this game.
