also in the same way you have to see armand choosing the coven over louis as him deciding between two options he sees as bad, believing one is not viable, and committing to the other wholeheartedly (hence him directing the trial and just generally playing an active role in madeleine claudia and louis's executions) so too must you view his decision to stay with louis after the trial as him realising the coven is not a viable option for him anymore (because louis kills them all) and committing to louis wholeheartedly instead because he's his only other option.

my head's a bit clearer, some thoughts about act 3

-my biggest gripe is episode 7- cool idea, love the concept of peaking into a different universe and seeing what our characters couldve been under different circumstances, but a WHOLE episode. when you only had 9 episode in this season, that already feel like theyre moving at a neck's pace. for a universe that ultimately doesn't matter to the main universe where the story takes place. the fact it had timebomb made it feel extremely fan service-y.

-no emotional resolution to a lot of characters. viktor and jayce are the only ones i can think of that felt like they got the screen time and care for an actual emotional closure.

-isha wasn't even mentioned in this act. in general she was already a martyr for jinx's character development but guys can you make it less obvious.

-it started in act 2, hence why i was so jaded on it, but it continues here: just where the fuck the political drama between 2 cities go? the conflict between zaun and piltover took a back seat since episode 4 and never came back. the resolution to it isn't bad per say, but when u got so little focus on it in the finale it just feels rushed.

-i loved the cait and jinx scene. but like, that was the resolution to it??? after act 1 thinking about it disappoints me. im not against a conversation being the climax to a story, but that is, and im not joking, the ONLY conversation these 2 have in the show one on one. in general the jinx\cait\vi arc ends with 1 conversation per duo (well caitvi got one fight and one very steamy sex scene but u won't catch me complaining). and after act 1, idk i think i wanted just a little bit more. im biased though- the jinx\vi\caitlyn dynamic is my favorite part about arcane. the teasers for s2 always had them front and center so i assumed it'll play a bigger part in the story???

-i felt like what the show was at its core, which is the conflict between the sisters and the cities, was completely sidelined this season. in general i can't really tell what the main theme of the show is anymore. but yeah look at the resolution to the jinx and vi story.did it feel like it had the emotional impact u expected? cause i felt like it was underwhelming.

-sevika?? didnt speak since episode 4???? huhh???

-maddie was pointless. why was she there?? i don't understand the point of that character. i dont understand her motives. she ended up not mattering at all to caitvi's story. the only thing i got from her inclusion is "caitlyn fucks" but is it that THAT important??? of a character trait??? to add to caitlyn of all people?? in THIS season??? this belongs in the realm of fanfiction.

-a lot here felt like fanfiction actually. every silco inclusion (except of him in the cell with jinx), the whole "nobody dies au" they threw in the middle, even the caitvi sex scene (IM NOT COMPLAINING THO). the caitvi scene at the end was dialog out of fanfiction, wtf was that.

-why did caitlyn lose her eye? im not like against the idea on a base level but losing an eye is very symbolic, and im not sure what its supposed to represent here. caitlyn is an observant person, its a big character trait for her. so youre basically saying she sees less now? that she's more laser focused? i sure hope not. wasnt her whole arc with giving up of revenge about seeing the "bigger picture"? her sacrifice didn't feel in character, because caitlyn is not really a "fight to the death" type of character like ambessa is. if she made that sacrifice for something like love, or for the betterment of other people, that would be more in line. idk, you couldve made me on board with it but im just very meh on it. also caitlyn only really emotes through her eyes, it sucks that we get even less of it now?? though i guess it doesnt matter at this point.

-what was the point of the enforcer that looked like vander?

-ambessa was so wasted in these last 2 acts its crazy. where's the "you have to be the fox and the wolf" mindset from her? she felt like she was wolfing only with no wit anymore by the 3rd act.

-mel????????????? it was. uhhh. maybe you shouldve saved it for another series, riot. but in this show, waste of time. the fight she had with caitlyn against ambessa was cool tho.

-i sound like im a hater but u have to understand. s1 of arcane was a political drama and a character study show. seeing all this discarded for magic and time travel shenanigans on like 4 different fronts was so jarring it took me out of the show multiple times.

-cant believe im saying that, but i wish they'd try to stick closer to the characters' current state in the source material (the cursed game). someof it felt out of left field and done for shock value, which isn't why we love the story or these characters to begin with.

PART ONE (1) BACKGROUND CONTEXT

So let’s start with background context. What the fuck is Starlight Express? Lemme tell you. It’s a British musical written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, known for his shows like Phantom Of The Opera (Broadway and Film), Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, (Film Version), School Of Rock (Broadway), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Broadway), Cats (Broadway) and much more! The show itself is about a train race. Yeah.

As a child’s train set magically comes to life and the engines race to become the fastest in the world, Rusty the steam train has little hope of winning until he’s inspired by the legend of the ‘Starlight Express’.

There are four versions; 1983, 1992, A German one in 2023~, and 2024. For this we’ll focus on the 2024 version for the sake of my hyperfixation.

And MoTH /Magic Of The Heart is an Audio Rp series by the magnificent Good Boy Audios. Season One ran from August 3rd 2022 to January 26, 2024. It’s 21 episodes long, spanning to over 5 hours long and features audio content creators like SyntheticCharmVA as Frank, SirenSonAsmr as Shee/Mahann, and YceyNarrates as Fulcrum. Where on Earth did I get this idea? Would you believe that I’m crazy?/j . No, seriously though I was listening to MoTH again, getting hyped for S2 next gen, and came up with the idea. So yeah. plus it was like 3AM and I wasn’t thinking right.

Okay so this is the longest part of the yap session. So bear with me. This will not include the Wizard Detective/Investigator unfortunately. But let’s get into it!

I - ENTRY OF THE TRAINS

This can be a title card/opener to the animation. When the vocals start “There’s a Light At The End Of The Tunnel”, text can fade in. It can look like this: [un] = under previous text

II - CRAZY

Alright real animation starts now. Zed walking up the mountain whilst the ‘sketchy people’ basically are like ‘this dude is crazy, the guardian doesn’t exist’ with the lyrics “Crazy! Can you believe him? He’s crazy! Love him or leave ‘im, he’s crazy!” OR it can be Zed doubting himself like he does in the first audio.

Yeah it’s a love song between the main steam engines but multiple meaning song now. Well it can work as a SLIGHT will they won’t they plot song since Zed and Guardian did have that dynamic till the confession.

At the end “Going crazy! Going crazy! Going crazy!!” can be when he’s at the peak of the mountain, seeing the constellation and the metal angelic bull. Perfect transition to the next snippet;

III - PUMPING IRON

I love head cannoning that this is Guardian’s theme song. This part, although the guardian’s introduction, can have the guardian’s face never seen. It lwk adds to the mystery of them and how we all (as viewers) don’t know what they look like and how gba said that no design is exactly canon because all of the designs fans made are ‘inaccurate’ to quote the man himself. Pumping Iron is an upbeat ‘Im so fucking cool and hot and strong and everyone loves me’ type song and it just SCREAMS guardian with lyrics “ See me hustle, feel my muscle, im Pumping Iron!”

IV - THE RACE

At the end of “Pumping Iron”, there’s a green smoke far far away from the mountain where. This can be used to transition to what happened to the naga (I forgot its name).

V - AC/DC / NO COMEBACK

Makkaro’s entrance. It’s in the midst of the Poisoning the snake audio where he kills Shee and puts the snake down. “Clear my track, I am the future! Electric’s taking charge. Clear the track!!!”

Zoom out at “Clear my track, I’m the champion!” So it shows the undead army and Frank (HONEY I LOVE YOU I WANNA HUG YOU BBG). In the clip it shows Makkaro taking Shee’s soul.

VI - I AM ME

Final introduction. Here it’s Darling. It can be them in the village, or working with Mirren and Zed. This part is really open to the animator. Do whatever fits your Darling. It should have some mix from fight one with Mahann, Darling, Zed and Mirren and the testing on Guardian. Idk, see what you can do with the lyrics “I am Me, and that’s all I need! Standing tall. Won’t see us fall! No big deal, cause we’re made of steel!! See it now. [inaudible]”

VII - HYDROGEN

This could be the exact point with the major fight scene (ep 19/20). “It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when for hydrogen (3x).” By fight scenes, I mean like different parts at the lyrics. For references think like atlasofgalaxies animation The Killing Kind for the Magnus Archives at timestamps 6:12 to 6:14 with the different but chronological scenes. Hell if you wanna be SUPER dramatic, add -at the final “it’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when for hydrogen”- Guardian taking Makkaro’s power for good. Makes it hit a little more.

VIII - I DO

Okay we’re almost done. This’ll be between Makkaro and Darling since they can hug finally for the first time in years. Take WYFILWMA from Epic but make it sadder and more meaningful. But at the end of that “But I dooooo” have frank there. trust me on this. it’ll be silly but trust.

IX - THERE’S LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL / FINALE

At the start “There’s a light, there’s a light, we can see the light (2x)” Frank can be in the center of the video, the background frozen on Makkaro and Darling hugging and crying and shit as one of his one liners play audio wise. Then “At the end of the tunnel!!” It’s happy! Yeah, a change from the actual ending of MoTH S1.

As the chorus begins to play do whatever you want on this. Really. Could be this nothing goes bad aus with Frank still there and everything. Hell it can be Wizard Investigator!Frank for all we know singing along happily. This part at the end gets a little more theatrical.

“We see the distant gleam, that tells you it’s steam.” Makkaro’s final line plays too, as if a casting call bow. Their story ends on a happy note.

“At the end of the tunnel” Zed asks if the Guardian will stay. They say no. Backs are turned to the viewer.

“There’s a light!” And Zed’s last line finally plays. He looks tired yet satisfied slightly.

“Starlight.” Guardian walks out of view, into a beaming light ahead. A symbolistic view that their story probably isn’t fully over yet. Plus it seems like a cool way to close MoTH.

ok so i really like the concept of the whole Bill of Life thing, unwinding especially.

OK SO IK ITS NOT THE MOST POPULAR NOVEL I DONT THINK SO FOR MY MOOTS WHO R SEEING THIS THIS IS THE GENERAL CONCEPT: since abortions r banned pretty much, ppl either “stork” unwanted children or “unwind” children when they became unwanted. like the story starts off abt three unwinds, being unwound for completely different reasons. Connor was like, a troublesome kid and his parents just didn’t want that so they signed the orders to get him unwound. i missed why Risa was unwound but im pretty sure the state house just didn’t have much room for her anymore(she got storked there i think. she really didn’t grab my attention at the beginning sadly). Lev came from a Christian family, and churches make everyone sacrifice one of their children for God by unwinding them second they turn 13, Lev being one of them(it’s considered an honor)

OK SO the concept of storking is that, the mother delivers a child, doesn’t want it, leaves it at some person’s doorstep and then it’s “finders keepers.” however if they are caught they have to take the kid back and legally obliged to keep it. same with the finders keepers situation, got storked and ain’t no one at ur doorstep? legally obliged to keep it like it or not. however Connor’s parents once got storked and passed it into the neighbors house, and the baby rotated for a week and back to their house, but already sick and dying. Connor then gets traumatized and further on in the book he’s so overridden with the memory that when a bitch got storked she yell at them (Connor abd Risa) to take it back even tho the kid wasn’t theirs.

the concept of unwinding is that legally between 13-18 your guardians can send you to a harvest camp where you’re taken apart and given these parts to those who need it. like for example: you got unwound, taken to a harvest camp, they take your hands and give it to a guy who lost his across the fucking continent. ppl literally stopped trying to cure things, just replaced faulty organs with healthy ones. and no one really knows what’s going on in those harvest camps. do they kill you off immediately or do they wait and wait for weeks on weeks to get to you while you never know when’s your last day.

SO ANYWAY

I really like Connor’s relationship with Hayden, and tbh if they would make them canonically in love i’d be the happiest person on this planet. but again that would cause even further complications w the plot so i get it ig. but at the same time i don’t. Connor never really struck me as a cishet dude even from the beginning of the story, and though him abd Risa r a very good pair i’d just kinda like it more if they paired him up with Hayden. cuz first of all it would add on to tge reason he got unwound in the first place. abd like, i want a gay protagonist in a horror book is that really too much to ask?

same thing with Lev and CyTy, tho i see them more as moirails. yk, homestuck. heheh. no bc they’re so caring for eachother it’s crazy. but again i don’t see them in a romantic relationship, i just rlly like their dynamic. live laugh love how Lev was willing to go through with CyTy’s shit and vice versa.

I tried to get creative for some stuff because it felt like I was being too repetitive (both within the fic itself and in terms of my other fics), and I thought it was fun to put a lil spin on the mutual masturbation idea where he's got superpowers and can basically invade your privacy, forgoing the need to actually touch you or be near you to see you at your most vulnerable. it is so hot to me and there's like, canon implications in the show that he does that already. not to a level as pervy as what I had him do but he is a nosey ass bitch even if he can't control it

AND YEAH I was soooo nervous cause I hate giving the reader a personality. it sounds dumb but I hate making the reader feel a certain way/do certain things because the more I drill something in, the more alienated the actual reader of the fic becomes. I had the idea that I'll turn someone off by having them do something, but I can't please everybody unfortunately

AND YEAH I NEED TO WRITE MORE FEET STUFF. specifically with matt cause his dogs are out sm in the show and he's got dress shoes and combat boots for his superhero suit that I WILL be smelling! I do agree that sometimes it's boring af to see someone suck dick (something they've supposedly never done before yet they're a pro at it and can handle the person being rough...) and then get fucked. like, obviously, breaking the ice is natural but having the reader suck his toes instead made me feel like a big brained genius. although, I wish I would've stayed on the foot stuff longer, I need to write more for his feet...

AND MHMHM I was trying to channel his darker, more confident side because there are so many times where he teases people in that way and I think it's so hot that your hole will at least be sore from the girth, even if he isn't fucking you super hard. plus, him trying to use it as a way to ease us into sex had me melting WHILE I was writing it. like "it's just a fact. you love me? get used to that being something you have to put up with" like god yesss gimme that monster cawk

Anyways, the whole reason why i shipped Adam and Lucifer is just their small interactions made it easy to imagine many possibilities, alternatives, hcs, etc. Mostly based on their funny dynamic alone (like Lucifer being a tease and Adam pissy about the whole cheating thing i was like agdjwgekwhe funny af and then THE joke of fucking him sealed their dynamic for me as my favorite from the show right there and there) and also to picture what it could’ve been? Like, there’s so many holes you can fill in there. That’s what got me so stuck with it, that you can add so much to their backstory, also, the fact that they use Adam being an asshole and stuff as a joke bc he was the first man so ‘it makes sense or whatever’ blah blah so my mind immediately goes, oh, so he’s like the punching bag of the show? Bet bet I love him. When they’re like the ones doing all the bad shit, villains, does the crazy stuff (Cartman for example) or taking the shit of everything/being the joke (Meg from family guy for example) I immediately just like them for no reason, I love my failure characters. It’s interesting cause I was so nonchalant about Adam when I first saw him on screen, if im being honest. I didn’t even blink an eye when he got killed off but then, I saw him without the mask and I was like, he’s hot agdosgslabxlshxos like i was more shock that there weren’t more people who agreed with that than him dying. But still, he wasn’t like a character that I thought of while watching the show.

I just liked Adam. His personality is funny, his character is interesting. I like him. The same happened with Lucifer. He’s goofy and sad. His backstory is drawing but there’s so much left out that makes you wonder more about him. I love him.

To put a lot of medical nonsense out the way, for a system to be programmed in adulthood (like Alfendi was by Justin (i think that's what his name was idfk anymore)) they need to be predisposed to programming as a child. Basically this comes from a specific type of basically abuse in a way where the person would be in a semi-conscious state where the programming would take place (think how Al was in a coma as justin programmed him basically). Obviously Layton would NOT be out there doing that lets be honest but uhhh @/mystery-room did a fanart of Alfendi as a kid in the context of NWOS and lowk that was genius? Cause likeee if he was in America he could have been idk orphaned ir something and I've always thought his programming would be from a fucked up science experiment or something. Basically cause uh Hilda is an international policewoman or whatever her job was i then thought oh well what if she found Alfendi's old like experiment file and therefore thats how he finds out that system is muchhhhh bigger.

The thing abt programmed systems is that the host (Potty) would be made so he was unaware of the rest, but programming an extra host in would make the original host aware at least of that other alter. i fully believe the reason the final cut of this scene is so different is because they changed it to be more subtle. cause if you imagine it played out on screen, it's so unbelievably romantic. the final cut is also extremely romantic, but the og is just nuts to me. i'm also pretty sure the duffers said they change things and cut things out to make things less obvious, so take that as you will

1. will is still kneeling on the floor, but there's no direction for mike to sit on his bed. it says mike goes up to him, which could be a lot of things, but since will is still on the floor im guessing mike was meant to squat down to his level or kneel next to him. already way more intimate than the final cut where mike sits on his bed. so as we go through this, make sure you keep in mind they are sitting right next to each other

2. 'you didn't have to' wasn't in the original script. originally, mike and will were supposed to let will's words hang in the air and smile at each other for a second or two (probably the same amount of time between 'you didn't have to' and 'hey, also-' in the final cut). they were supposed to smile at each other until mike says "Hey, listen [...]", then will looks away. a few uncut seconds of them....smiling at each other.....until one of them awkwardly breaks the silence.... y'all.

id also like to bring up what finn said about mike not knowing about will's feelings, but there also being a mutual understanding and acceptance. i think what he means is that they mutually understand how different and special their relationship is. "i didn't say it..." with no response but a shared smile implies the same thing the final cut does. will didn't have to, mike understood anyway. that shared smile is supposed to be them acknowledging that. they both know it, and i honestly don't know how finn and noah were supposed to act that out without it being so obviously flirty and blushy. hence why they most likely didn't keep it in. also remember that they're supposed to be right next to each other probably face to face. THE OG WOULDVE BEEN SO BLUSHY AND AWKWARD LIKE.......

3. "If we're....friends again. Best friends."

given that at this point in s4 the audience is meant to have already put it together that will likes mike, that line is crazy to me.

WHY DID HE HAVE TO THINK??? WHY DID HE HESITATE???? the watcher already knows there is romance present in this dynamic, how fucking else is that meant to be taken?? this is also stranger things, the show where a staple in their romances is that they always claim they're just friends, when they're not. and it's MIKE saying this, not will.

and right after this, it says "Will finally looks at mike, emotional." so during mike's entire monologue, will isn't looking at him. to be honest i think them staring into each other's souls in the final cut it more romantic, but mike saying all this to a will who isn't looking at him adds a lot of depth. imagine mike saying all that and staring at will, who isn't looking back. it puts more romantic emphasis on mike. it's like mike wants will's approval.

they swapped this for "Cool." "Cool." which can be interpreted as platonic a lot easier. and the time they did use "yeah?" "yeah." was during the van scene. it happens in the og script for the bedroom scene too, except it was WILL asking and MIKE confirming. they're flip flopped.

we can't know for sure what scene they filmed first, but i think it might've been van scene first and then the bedroom scene, cause i know the roller rink scenes and scenes in the house were filmed near the end of filming as a whole.

i probably sound crazy, but let's entertain that possibility for a second. cause one was filmed first, which means one was changed first.

the van scene lines were originally "You really think so?" "I know so." , but they changed it to "Yeah?" "Yeah." so what if they changed it so it would parallel the bedroom scene?

if they kept it as it was originally written, the scenes would be very obvious parallels. one talks and talks and talks about their feelings for the other. then the other asks for confirmation, and confirmation is given. it would've paralleled mike's monologue to will to a love confession, which is WAY too obvious

i cannot express to you how crazy this makes me 

5. "This intimate moment is shattered"

i don't even have to explain why this is a romantic trope, it just is

i'm gonna assume they were still supposed to have their gazes torn from each other like in the final cut, but imagine that happening while they're way closer. SO much more obviously romantic. they could've been in the same shot when it happens like in the other two scenes where they're interrupted, but in the final cut they aren't. and it's entirely possible they changed that cause the og is just WAY too romantic

i also want to highlight a couple parallels between this scene and the van scene cause this script pretty much confirmed they're connected and i honestly never thought about it until now

sorry i’m so late with this. i haven't been online too much lately. So theories??? man i’m not really engaging with much speculation as far as S2 goes. mainly bc i don’t think i have the ideas that will happen how my mind is formulating them. also bc they would be based off of nothing but what ive seen said about the books and vibes i got from S1 lmao. i’m so sorry if i disappoint you my ideas. here’s what i hope…

S2 will focus on loumand in the past and in the present maybe Armand might get to contribute to the telling of things. I’m very fucking excited for loumand. Idk how to not lose my mind about this! it’ll be interesting to me if there’s points of contention between how louis remembers something and how he does. what happened to Claudia and how coming out in this contention would be really fun to watch. “the love of my life” seems to be something that’s gonna come undone next season. seeing how they came together. seeing what makes their relationship tick. seeing the cracks in what their dynamic is now. seeing how Daniel’s tendency to be provocative and rude when he feels endangered will impact things or how it will shift now that he knows Rashid is actually Armand—now that he realizes he’s been talking to an even stronger vampire crazy out the side of his neck. and he’s greatly out numbered rn. i want to see if Daniel tries to run and leave and how they might convince him to stay or if he decides to stay what lends to that decision. the book? answers that he wants? im sure it’ll be many things.

I wonder if they will put off the hows of how Lestat finds his way to Paris since no one but him would really have all that information. I think with seeing Sam and Assad hanging out off set there will be some Armand/Lestat scene to look forward too. they’re gonna fight and its gonna be nasty and full of tension and armand longing for lestat while lestat longs for louis and he’s [lestat] gonna get that look in his eye were he agrees to something he know damn well he shouldnt in the name of saving louis. its gonna be delicious. Im excited to see that.

I hope we only really get hints of the devil’s minion stuff and i hope a good chunk of most of it happens in the modern day so they can have lots to fill coming seasons with. i want S2 to be more about loumand anyways. THO i do want them to put the fear of the devil into that man. I want him to really come to terms with what the fuck situation he’s in and I want Louis and Armand to make him feel it for real. I want the cracks in his dynamic with them and his supposed superior morality to start to show.

I think the situation with Louis might make Claudia desperate for another connection by the time it’s clear Louis is stuck in the past and longing for Lestat. Her hatred for him i think is soemthing we’ll see develop in it’s fullness. i hope she’s just as petty as she’s been. there wa a post about her playing piano and playing bach even tho she knows it torment him. i love that post. i wish i had it in me to find it. that post is genius. but yeah so i think she’d even accept the mother like way Madeleine treats her even tho she’s been looking to be treated like an equal bc anything is better than where they find themselves in terms of being stuck together after all thats happened and the spector of him choking her and lestat being spared because of him always looming over them. i think that adds to the sheer sadness of her situation. the living truth that yeah lestat is alive and louis would have him even now. and then the realization that he would also have armand who wants her dead clearly. i think someone who seems to “see her” would be preferable. but bc i know this is the painshow i cant say that they’re dynamic won’t be hard to watch. i think it will. I think madeleine will be working out her own trauma in losing her family on Claudia and it’ll be really clear that Claudia will always be choosing the lesser of an evil. i think they’ll play with our minds and hearts about what they could be, but ultimately they’re doomed and she’ll still wind up dead. and apparently so does madeleine even after being turned soo.. yeah i’m about to be heart shattered behind claudia.

sorry if these are disappointing. but yeah that’s as far as i’ve got. tho i’m sure i’ll think of something else and make a post about it. but i havent really wanted to speculate too much on S2 beyond being horny about loumand. maybe we’ll see their dungeon!

"That guy's staring at you."

"God, Hitch, really? We haven't even been out here for five minutes," you groan, propping yourself up on your elbow as you roll onto your side. "And you always say that," you add exasperated.

You and Hitch were on a "much-needed" vacation as she called it, dragging you out to the beach house her parents owned. She didn't give you a reason as to why you both needed this vacation, (more like there wasn't one), and now you currently find yourself laying next to her in the front yard, sunbathing.

"Well, that's because it's always happening," she laments. "But seriously, take a look," she says, nodding her head in the direction behind you. You roll your eyes but roll back over so that you're resting on both elbows. She coaxes you with a wave of her hand, and you sigh, letting your head fall to the side.

And you feel your mouth drop open when your eyes land on him.

Smoking hot would be an understatement. You can't see that much because you're separated by the street, but what you can see is his shirtless torso practically shining in the sunlight, his arms resting on the car you suppose he's working on. The basketball shorts he's wearing practically leave nothing to the imagination, the combat boots pulling his look altogether.

He lifts his head up in a quick motion at you when your eyes meet his, and you lift up one of your arms to throw him a small wave. You feel Hitch shove your shoulder, and you turn to look at her. "I told you."

You roll your eyes again. "Hitch, both of us are out here, he could be looking at either one of us," you argue, and now you understand why she decided to lay in the front yard. She must've seen him when you got here, and you can already feel the plans forming in her mind.

She counters with a snort. "Yeah, okay," she laments. "Hey, do you think you could grab the sunscreen for me?" You give her a blank look as she smiles widely at you. "Get up slow," she teases when you start to stand, and you kick your foot in her direction as she laughs before walking into the house.

You find yourself rolling your eyes when you can't find the sunscreen where Hitch swore she left it. You walk outside, standing over her with your hands on your hips, and she moves her head back to look at you, sliding her sunglasses below her eyes.

"His eyes? All over your ass." You laugh at her words as you lay back down. "I'm serious," she continues, and you look back over at him, telling yourself you're only doing it because you're talking about him. "And it looks like he's a mechanic. You should take my car over there."

You raise an eyebrow at her idea as you turn your head to look at her. "There's nothing wrong with your car, Hitch."

"What is wrong with you is that you're not actively trying to fuck this man," she counters quickly.

"I don't even know him," you reply lamely.

"Strangers fuck all of the time." You shake your head as you close your eyes and face up towards the sky. "There's nothing wrong with a little summertime fun."

"I'll think about it," you say, and you hope it'll make her drop it for the time being.

You've been here a day, and Hitch has not stopped talking about him. Every time she comes in the house from doing something outside, he's always the first thing that comes out of her mouth. Like today, for example.

"He was definitely looking for you," she states before she can even close the front door.

You roll your eyes as you drink some water. "And how do you know?"

"You should see how he reacts when the door opens. He tries to play it off, but he's anticipating you every time."

You scoff as you rest your elbows on the counter before scrolling through your phone. "Yeah, okay."

"I still think you should take my car over there." You don't even acknowledge her, keeping your attention on your phone. "You know what? I'll just do it."

You think she's just testing you, but then you hear her grabbing her keys, and the sound of the front door unlocking, and you're racing over to her, grabbing her wrist just as she gets out of the door.

"Fine, Hitch," you groan, snatching the keys out of her hand as you hear a satisfying hum come from her. You glare at her as you stalk down the driveway, checking the street before you cross it, and when your eyes land on him practically waiting for you to walk up to him, you bite your lip nervously.

He's resting his arm on the hood of the car, his foot hooked over his ankle, and the position does wonders for his biceps, which your eyes are currently trained on until you almost get right in front of him. He's got on a white tank top this time (thank God), but his shorts leave basically nothing to the imagination. Yes, they highlight everything.

You don't know how long your eyes have been looking everywhere but his face, but the smirk on his face when you finally do look tells you it's been pretty long. "Hey, neighbor," he quips, making you huff softly as he sits up, shoving his hands in his pockets. "What can I do for you?"

A lot of things. And now that he's standing upright, you can see how tall he is along with how broad his shoulders are before you quickly remind yourself to respond. "Uh, my friend says that something is wrong with her car, and she thinks you're a mechanic?" You finish it with a question as you point softly in his direction.

He gives you a soft nod as he chuckles. "She would be correct," he answers. "You know what's wrong with it?"

You shake your head. "No, she wouldn't tell me," you respond, annoyance laced in your voice at Hitch's fucking antics.

"If you bring the car over here I can take a look at it," he offers, and you nod your head quickly before walking back across the street to get the car.

You back it into the garage, turning the car off before you get back out. You take a few steps back as he moves closer to start looking over the car, giving you access to admire him without getting caught. You're not even paying attention to what he's doing, your eyes following him but not registering anything but the flex and bulge of his muscles. It's very hot right now, but the weather is only the partial reason why your body is hot all over.

You sigh in sexual frustration when he lifts the hem of his shirt to rub off the sweat accumulating on his face, ultimately showcasing the shining plane of abs that you can finally see up close.

Maybe Hitch was onto something.

"...anything's wrong." You jump softly as you shake your head, realizing he's talking to you and that you've only gotten the last of his sentence.

"Sorry?" You watch him chuckle as he nods towards the car.

"It doesn't look like anything's wrong," he repeats, amusement in his words, and you give him a small nod, trying to keep your eyes away from the massive muscles in his arm that is currently holding up the hood. "You wanna take a look?"

Your legs are moving before you can even think, taking the very short walk towards him, his fingers sliding around your wrist softly as he pulls you to stand in front of him. You gasp quietly when you feel him against your back, his arm still next to your head, holding the hood.

"See?" The whisper of the word makes you shiver softly, his hand moving to your hip, and fuck if his touch didn't make you melt. "Nothing's wrong." You're not even looking at the damn car, and your turn your head, your eyes instantly meeting his.

You take a deep breath, hoping that'll help calm you down, and your eyes trail down his face, lingering at his lips before you watch him do the same. He huffs softly, a smirk appearing on his face, and you squint at him slightly, your lip curling into a soft smile.

"What?"

You feel him squeeze at your hip before he starts to lean in making your mouth fall open in anticipation, and you don't even realize that you've closed your eyes until you hear him chuckling, your eyes shooting open.

"Nothing." He starts to move away from you, breaking you out of the trance he seemed to put you in. "You mind closing this for me?" He glances towards the hood, and he walks away when you grab it.

He moves over to the sink that you hadn't noticed, washing his hands as you slam the hood closed, making sure it's down before you lean against the driver's side door. "The only thing I can really say is that it could use a wash."

You laugh softly as you nod your head, crossing your arms. "Yeah, I know. She's been talking about getting it washed." He dries his hands off before turning towards you, stopping only a step away from you.

"Well, I can do that too. If you want," he says, and you shake your head quickly as you frown.

"Oh, no. I can't ask you to do that after you just wasted your time looking at nothing," you counter, feeling yourself lean further against the car when he takes that step closer to you. "I don't even know how I'm gonna pay you back."

He gets even closer, resting the heel of his palm on the car right next to you. "You don't know?" His lips are practically touching yours, both of your breaths mingling together as you shake your head. He leans in again, pulling away just as you meet his lips, and he smiles when you huff in frustration.

He leans in again, and this time you take the initiative, nearly crashing your lips onto his, and he leans flush against you before pulling away again, the kiss way too short for your liking. "Stop it," you whine softly, and you can feel him smile against you as his lips gently trail down your jaw towards your neck.

"Stop what?" he asks, feigning innocence as he kisses down your neck, but his lips ghost over your skin, barely making contact, making you push him closer to you when you cup the back of his neck. His hands move to your hips, pulling you flush against him as he deepens the kisses, and you're glad you decided to ditch the bra because of how hot it was as his hands start to trail under your tank top.

"You want some water?" you ask, and his tongue runs over his bottom lip as he shakes his head. "You sure? It's really hot out there, no?"

"I'm not thirsty for water," he counters quickly, but you don't falter, tilting your head like you don't know what he means as you walk over to him.

"Oh? Then what are you thirsty for?" He curls his fingers quickly, and you oblige, leaning down so that your hands are resting on the back of the couch, caging his head between your arms, your face inches from his.
