the thing with tommy is that he's just not that interesting imo. the only reason i liked any scenes of him with buck are because i loved buck being bi. the closest thing he has to "complexity" (using that word very lightly) is being racist and sexist in the past and apparently not being anymore - and look, i get it's hard to be closeted in a homophobic environment, but there was literally no need for him for act like that regardless of his own personal struggles. and yes ofc people can change and grow as people i'm not saying he's irredeemable or anything. but if a character is introduced as basically being against the main characters, i don't think it's fair to switch them to side of the main characters without properly acknowledging their past actions.

and beyond that, i just don't understand what appeal there is about him. he's not a particulary good boyfriend to buck - no better than most of buck's love interests - his "sassiness" and sarcasm has always felt more dismissive and closed off than funny, and he has no discernable personality beyond that. i just don't get why people are essentially cobbling together a shared oc and painting him as some incredible person and partner for buck where there is little to no evidence for that in canon?

tldr: in my opinion, tommy kinard is just none personality with left bigotry, and i don't understand how bucktommy is seen as endgame.

Hey sorry about that person hounding you about your trolls fics. Funny enough I followed you during your trolls era loved all your stuff then got disillusioned with trolls unfollowed you then found you again when scrolling through the gravity falls tag.
