❥  Personality

Mika is shy and distant, often stuttering and making voice cracks when talking. He prefers to observe and understand people before properly interacting with them, which is his way of showing respect. According to Amber’s voice line, Mika shows great respect to his superiors, and Eula, Jean, and Lisa’s voice lines mention Mika being a hardworking and capable person. It’s also suggested that he can take some jokes literally, evident with his delivery of Varka’s letter and Kaeya’s voice line. Lisa also mentions that Mika is bad at hiding anything from people.

❥  Design

Mika is a short boy with messy blond hair that has orange tips, he also has droopy blue eyes and a light skin tone. His outfit consists of an off-white hoodie & shorts with a royal blue long-sleeved coat and several accessories. He also wears light blue earrings.

Mika wears a pale yellow tie and a brooch in the shape of a shield with feathers on the right side of his chest. Mika also appears to wear a pauldron and  dark blue gloves with some kind of gauntlet, his vision is located on his right hand. He wears a baldric around his body which holds a book bag on his back. The book bag is dark brown with some feathers and ornaments, most notably a big yellow feather. For footwear, Mika has black socks that reach below his knee. He also wears big leather boots with spurs.

Notable features about his design include a lot of triangular and rhombuses. His key defining features are his ahoge, color scheme, and the big yellow feather.

❥  Story

Mika is a member of Varka’s expedition team. Originally belonging to Eula’s Reconnaissance Company, he was borrowed by Varka for his scouting capabilities. During Mondstadt’s Weinlesefest Event, he was tasked to return to Mondstadt to deliver the Grand Master’s letter detailing their progress and notable experiences. There was also an additional letter addressed to Lisa. Interacting with Mika and Kaeya will trigger a conversation, in which Mika runs away at the end, presumably to meet with the Reconnaissance Company.

When you talk to Huffman during Weinlesefest, he praises Mika’s capabilities and mentions that he is joining Guerrilla Assault Platoon. A tweet from @hxg_diluc also suggests that Mika is actually stronger than he looks.

How to deal with Headaches, by Kaeya

It's been a long day. Work has multiplied exponentially, and this small 5 minute break you are taking seems to be the only break you will take for a while. That is until Kaeya walks in.

Kaeya can already just see that you have a headache.

If it wasn't already obvious from how you were pinching the bridge of your nose and slumped posture.

So, he will summon a bit of Cyro to his finger tips, and begin to gently massage your head, especially your temples and generally rubbing his cooled hand over your head

"This should help, darling." *picks up papers* "I can take care fo this for you."

He will try to help, even is he is busy, he 100% knows someone who can help

Now for my reasoning as to why he knows how to do this works so well.

As teens, I can imagine that Diluc had lots of headaches. Being the youngest to join the knights must be quite headache inducing, and believe Kaeya tried helping him out ever now and then (platonically ofc).

Which includes giving head massages

But now they aren't as close...

So now usually he uses his vision to give himself massages when he having a hangover headache

As a member of the Yashiro Commission, you were tasked with handling cultural affairs in Inazuma.

As a member of the Kocho Clan, you were among those who were allowed to cross the sea during the Sakoku Decree.

As a person who bore these two titles, you found yourself tasked with meeting Mondstadt’s Wine Tycoon, Diluc Ragnvindr.

However,

“Such a nuisance.” You sighed, surveying the area in front of you.

No matter where one should step, those of the Abyss were sure to lurk.

If you lured the Pyro Mage’s attack close enough to the Cryo Mage, then the shield should break, allowing you to swiftly handle it. Then take down the Pyro one with your Hydro Vision. With that plan in mind, you burst forward into a kaleidoscope of watery butterflies. However, right as you landed behind the Pyro Mage,

“Cool it!”

A flurry of ice rushed the both of you. Thankfully, you’d sensed the newcomer, and dodged the attack. Only a few of your butterflies froze over, shattering into glittering dust.

You glare at the man, a Knight of Favonius, that much you could tell, as he focused on the Pyro Mage.

“Monarch’s Reign!” You summoned the giant Hydro butterfly, its wings washing the Mages back as you grabbed the man by the elbow.

“You fool! Freeze is useless against Cryo!” Shoving him away, you refocused your attention on the enemy before you.

With the utmost grace of a winged insect's flutter, you played the Pyro Mage’s attacks just right, and effectively melted the Cryo Mage’s shield.

“It seems like you know a thing or two.” The man commented as he charged the down mage.

You rolled your eyes as you sent a swarm to pick at the Pyro Mage’s shield.

“Unlike you.”

“Oh, that wounds me.” He chuckled.

Pressing forward, you sliced the Mage down just as its shield vaporized.

“Then take your wounded pride back to the Knights of Favonius Headquarters, Calvary Captain.” And without another glance, you turned to leave.

“Leaving so soon?” He grabbed your wrist with a force that let you know that resisting was futile. “What kind of Captain would I be if I left an Inazuman to wander Mondstadt’s lush hills?”

You huffed, giving him your name. “I am a representative of the Yashiro Commission. I have business with Diluc Ragnvindr.”

“Oh? Our illustrious wine tycoon?” His grip loosened, “Interesting.”

“However, that still doesn’t answer the question of how you crossed the borders with the Sakoku Decree in effect.”

“As a member of the Kacho clan, I have explicit permission from the Shogun herself to cross the waters as I see fit. Now,” You removed yourself from his hold. “I have a meeting to attend to.”

He watched you go, Hydro butterflies dissipating in different directions.

He shook his head with a smirk. Obviously, you didn’t want to be followed.

“Oh well. Might as well go see dear old brother while I’m out this way.”

“albedo, could you help me with something?”

“if it is within my abilities, yes.”

albedo watched you fiddle with your gloved fingers, “it’s a strange request, but could you help me practice my swordsmanship?”

“swordsmanship? wouldn’t it be better to ask someone else such as kaeya,” albedo asked, not upset, but more surprised. albedo was well-versed in favonius bladework: weiss, but he certainly wasn’t the ideal person to practice with.

“i would,” you responded, “but i couldn’t bring myself to ask him.” your words reduced to nothing more than a mumble.

albedo wasn’t too surprised by this. kaeya was a bit intimidating in the sense that he was unpredictable. he was easy to approach and he was certainly not unkind, but seeing that you weren’t always the best at socializing, it could be difficult to get along with kaeya. especially since he was always teasing you.

albedo thought for a moment. he certainly wasn’t against training with you. it would be optimal for him to practice and help you with your own bladework at the same time. he knew how badly you wanted help with it as well since you were now about to take the selection test to become a knight of favonius. it would be your first time taking it and you didn’t know what to expect, but albedo knew you wanted to refine your swordsmanship skills since it was one of your strongest points.

“please, albedo,” you begged and looked up to him with large, watery eyes, “i really wanna get into the knights of favonius and i can’t do it without you.”

unexpectedly, your words affected albedo greatly.

“fine,” albedo finally said, “i will help you. but in return, you must watch klee for me while i work on some experiments.”

you let out a small gasp. “really? thank you, albedo!”

before albedo could even continue, you excitedly left the office. in thirty minutes, he found you at the knights of favonius training area. you gave him a warm smile that made his chest feel a bit fluttery. you went over to albedo, asking if he was ready for some training. he brought out his sword, and clarified that he wouldn't hold back.

you chuckled and quickly tried to attack his core, but albedo swiftly dodged it.

"swinging will result in a higher chance of striking your opponent," he commented.

you nodded in understanding, and moved in to attack him again. for the two hour of training, you mostly attacked albedo as he added what you needed to fix. albedo was impressed by how you improved exponentially. although your defense was on the weaker side, you were still a pretty strong fighter. however, albedo felt he wasn't doing enough for you to flourish the way kaeya or jean would have.

by the end of the session, the two of you were drenched in sweat and out of breath. albedo felt his clothes stick to his skin and grimaced. you, on the other hand, looked exhilarated despite your exhaustion. you looked as if you were glowing as you sent a smile towards albedo's direction, causing blood to rush to his face. luckily, his face was already quite red from being out of breath, so he doubted you’d noticed. in the end, the session was a success and you were adept enough that albedo felt you could pass the test easily.

before you left to go wash up, you went up to the young alchemist.

“albedo, you’ve been such an incredible help, i really think i’ll be able to pass the test thanks to you,” you said.

and unexpectedly, you gave him a small hug. it wasn’t even a real hug, more like a side-hug. you waved him goodbye, promising to watch klee one day, and he watched as you disappeared into the city.

he went back into his office, deciding that he was too tired to continue his work for the day. before going into his office, he passed grand master varka and jean in the hallway.

“albedo,” jean gasped as he passed them, “are you alright?”

“hm?”

“your face is all red, do you need to see a doctor?” she stopped to look at his face, her expression reading worried.

he was confused at first, but he noticed that his heart was beating rapidly and his face was heated, even though the training session ended a while ago. perhaps he was sick? maybe he should go see a doctor about it.

“i was just training with y/n,” albedo finally responded, hoping that it was convincing enough.

varka nodded understandingly before saying to himself, “y/n would make a fine knight. well then albedo, have a good rest of your day.”

albedo said his goodbyes and went into his office and shut the door behind him. he leaned against the door, pressing his hand against his thumping heart. as he sat there, he thought about what might be causing it, and he came to the conclusion that it happened only when you were around. what in the world were you doing to him?

"yes, knight?" kaeya smirked. "are you ready to lose the bet? it ends today."

"wait, what bet?" venti said, settling down near noelle.

"right, you really haven't been in monstadt for too long, haven't you?" barbara said, disbelief in her eyes. "it's the bet. you know, the one tacked in front of the adventurer's guild? katheryne has been keeping score and every time someone finishes a commission, it's all they talk about."

"yeah, six months ago, the cavalry captain and i made a bet to prove who's the better adventurer-slash-knight. whoever finishes the most bounties and commissions wins."

you all looked back to the faithful day in jean's office, some of your friends gathered around you two as you worked out the terms of the bet. jean was out on some errands, leaving the other guild members under kaeya who then proceeded to provoke you.

“get ready for the worst date ever, y/n l/n.” kaeya smirked, his hands shaking yours as you sealed off the bet. the person who finishes more commissions and bounties by the guild wins.

“and get ready for your sibling bonding with master diluc, kaeya.” you said, smirking in confidence. you will win.

“i did not agree to this.”

“paimon thinks master diluc should just go with it!”

“go y/n!”

venti laughed as lumine shrugged when kaeya gave her a betrayed look. she looked at paimon who was whispering in her ear, smiling as she whispered back. however, you were just focused on kaeya as you shook hands.

back to the present, you were both tied which, of course, heightens the excitement of those that new of the bet which was practically all of monstadt. you locked eyes with kaeya when you heard acting grand master jean's arrival, quickly running to the knights of favonius headquarters, using your vision to help you navigate along the way.

kaeya, however, was faster due to his cryo vision and you were stuck waiting outside with lisa who was asking you about the bet.

"uh, one second." you told her, walking past kaeya who just got out of the room. "acting grand maste-!"

"no, commissions will be assigned as they always were, y/n."

you turned around, making an annoyed look at kaeya who laughed at you. lisa stared knowingly at the two of you, shaking her head as she went back to the library, muttering to herself. the clock is running out with the both of you still tied which leads you to hertha who, luckily, has a bounty yet to be in progress. you quickly finish it, signing your one bounty to katheryne who verified with one minute left.

"ladies and gentlemen, i just finished another bounty and i take the lead with one minute left!" the crowd murmured against themselves as kaeya, seemingly unbothered, muttered an oh no.

"yes, oh n--," you were then taken aback. "you don't seem worried, why aren't you worried?"

"katheryne, sign this please!" your eyes traveled to the document where a picture of a group of treasure hoarders were attached. "meet these guys! last bounties of the day."

"that doesn't count, they're just one commission."

"yeah, well, they're not. they have been caught a couple of times now so acting grand master jean sent for a manhunt. face it, y/n, you lose."

"never." your eyes were manic as you looked at the blue-haired captain.

"five, four, three, two, one!" he sweetly smiled as you scowled. "it's over, i win, you lose."

you can distantly hear a "thank god" from the crowd which you paid no mind as kaeya invited venti to play. you rolled your eyes, an obvious frown on your face as kaeya dropped to one of his knees, opening a ring box.

"y/n l/n, you have made me the happiest man on monstadt. will you go on the worst date ever with me?" he grinned, whispering albeit loudly for everyone to still hear. "you have to say yes."

"hm?"

"..yes."

"they said yes~" you hid your face on your palms as lumine and paimon tried to comfort you. you dropped your hands, looking past her... at kaeya who caught your gaze. he lifted the wine glass in his hand as you looked away. you're going on the worst date, A DATE, with the cavalry captain… what could ever go wrong?

name: kaeya ragnvindr affiliation: the knights of favonius location: germany ability: glacial waltz - kaeya has moderate control over ice and temperature, and can make things around him freeze. as well as this, he is capable of creating ice from the water vapor in the air and can as such weaponize his ability at any time.

bio: born in an unknown place, kaeya was found and taken in by crepus ragnvindr in germany, where he became acquainted with his new adoptive brother diluc. as diluc ascended, so too did he, until kaeya’s adoptive father was killed in a tragic accident. the brothers mutually decided having nothing to do with eachother would be beneficial, and after they split apart, kaeya took over diluc’s old position in the knights of favonius, an ability user organization dedicated to keeping the peace all throughout germany.

due to recent activity in yokohama, several of the knights of favonius as well as other ability users have made their way over to see what the cause of commotion is. kaeya specifically has an interest in the book, but has no desire to use it himself, instead taking interest in keeping the fatui--a group of ability users hailing from russia, separate from the decay of angels and more intwined with the nation’s government--away from it.

DILUC RAGNVINDR

name: diluc ragnvindr alias: the darknight hero affiliation: dawn winery location: germany ability: dawn - allows diluc to summon a large phoenix-shaped burst of fire which he can then command for a short time around once per day. if he has already used this ability in the day, he can use his ability to create and control ordinary fire.

bio: heir to the wealthiest man in germany, diluc had it all. he was a talented boy who surpassed expectations and was easily able to attain the rank of cavalry captain in the knights of favonius. however, the death of his father sent everything crashing down. with the knights refusing to release or investigate any official evidence due to the political impact it might have, diluc became frustrated and left the city for a time, staying at dawn winery and becoming even wealthier due to the demand of the dandelion wine only dawn winery could produce.

eventually, he began to aid in the protection of germany from outside ability users with his large chain of connections and his unnamed antihero alias, essentially becoming germany’s very own masked vigilante. when the knights of favonius talked of sending men over to yokohama to investigate the commotion there, diluc was made aware of the situation from a “well-informed individual” and accompanied them under the guise of having a business deal with a powerful player located in yokohama.

he seeks to keep the book out of the hands of the abyss order, almost-humans with suspiciously organized ranks.

LUMINE

name: lumine affiliation: armed detective agency? location: yokohama “ability”: outsider - an ‘ability’ picked up when lumine entered this dimension and presumably shared by her brother; lumine can copy and use any ability she has seen in action. when she copies an ability, she will be able to use that ability for as long as she would like until it is overwritten by the next time she copies an ability. to copy an ability, she has to be in the line of sight of an ability user.

bio: you won’t find any record of lumine or her brother aether before the incidents taking place in yokohama began, though it’s unclear whether this is due to their relative unimportance prior to that or the fact that they hadn’t been in this dimension before that. regardless, they will not show up in any official investigations, and aether is still missing to everyone who has been looking.

the first people to find lumine were the armed detective agency, and it was there that she herself learned of the ability she gained in coming to this dimension when she accidentally copied atsushi’s ability for the first time. from then, it was decided that if anyone could help her find her brother, it would be detectives, and so lumine was given a test and accepted into the armed detective agency.

of course, this isn’t the end of the complications, as she accidentally finds herself caught up in the plans of the abyss order and the fatui, accidentally dragging the agency into things with her.

CHILDE

name: ??? alias(es): tartaglia (fatui harbinger title), childe (casual alias) affiliation: the fatui location: russia ability: master of weapons - childe’s ability allows him to turn nearby water into solid weapons, though the water must either be in vapor or liquid form, as ice is difficult to mold. any water-made weapon childe uses will be five times more powerful as the weapon normally would be. additionally, childe can change the form of his weapon at any time and it will only go away if childe himself ends the ability--as the weapon is water, it cannot be broken.

bio: childe is one of the eleven harbingers of the fatui, an organization in russia with its roots deeply in the russian government. they have ties everywhere, all across the world, and worked closely with fyodor dostoyevsky in his endeavor to attack yokohama. after his defeat and the loss of the decay of angels (another organization they had ties with), the fatui decided to send some of their own, among which were childe himself and la signora, a significantly crueler harbinger.

childe himself has no interest in the book and actively avoids conflict with other ability users, claiming there’s something bigger at play that he would like to figure out on his own. that said, he is still prone to using underhanded tactics and doesn’t stop la signora from initiating conflicts.

ZHONGLI

name: exuvia alias(es): rex lapis & morax (”godly” names), zhongli (human alias) affiliation: ??? location: china ability: prime of the adepti - prior to becoming a transcendental, zhongli’s ability was a defensive ability that could completely petrify anyone within a 50 foot radius of him so long as they were touching the ground. however, because of the additional abilities he has gained since then (shapeshifting, illusions, etc), this can no longer be considered his only ability.

bio: zhongli comes from a time before the modern nations of the world, a forgotten era of magic and wisdom that came before everything in the history we know today. it was there that he first became an immortal transcendental and outlasted the rest of his society, watching the magic of the older days become forgotten, living on only in the form of rare “ability users”.

he lived among the human world for some time, appearing once a year as any sort of animal with bright amber eyes to guide the humans around him. it was because of this that he began to be worshipped as a god, being given the name “rex lapis” by those who believed him fully. unfortunately, this tradition began to die out as technology advanced and you became disgusted with the humans that had left behind tradition. it was only recently, at the request of a friend, that you took on a human form once more and began a life in this new world to attempt to adapt to the changes you had seen.

not a long while later, he was summoned to yokohama by another transcendental, though he abstained from offering aid or guidance, choosing to keenly observe the actions of the humans on either side of the conflict to see whether or not it would be worth giving them guidance once more.
