[Just had a brain blast: Super would have done more favors to Vegeta's character arc in Super if they made his returning gusto for training linked to wanting to kill Frieza after his return rather than basing it solely on him once more becoming obsessed with surpassing Goku again. Sure, it's not AS BAD as it was in Z, but the fact that they bring it back takes away his growth from the end of the Buu saga. How he admitted that Goku was better than him and was moving toward making peace with that. You know...the shit they should have focused on instead of UWU FAMIWY MANNNNN!!!

I get they couldn't do this at the beginning, but I would rather see Vegeta obsessing over wanting to kill the guy who enslaved his people and him as a kid through a good portion of his adulthood, destroyed his home and people, constantly humiliated him, and in short deserves to die by his hands. Yeah, argue with me that it's better for his character that he doesn't, that him being perfectly fine (basically) with Frieza's return outside of a few comments shows how much he's grown, all you want, but I don't buy it. When it comes to Frieza, he never got any kind of closure. He never got any kind of comeuppance. Even if he locked it away for a good while since he believed Frieza would stay dead, it would be much more interesting to see that trauma come back to the forefront and become his purpose for wanting to improve himself since the Goku Rivalry doesn't really make that much sense anymore (and arguably never did in calling in a rivalry lmao).

This could also extend to Beerus as well since, as canon wants to write it, Beerus told Frieza to do it (that's not canon here because that's stupid but u no...for canon purposes this would have been better).]

@181230 is mitski's biggest slut and i love them for it. anyway, the fic is based on her song "I will" and it's supposed to be a short fic where sam takes care of bucky (or the other way 'round but we were thinking of keeping it this way because it fits better) after he's had a bad day and the fic is just. short and sweet.

but! the tone is somewhat dreamy, and not in a good way, more in a dissociative way, if that makes sense. it's a songfic right, so there's scenes between the lyrics and it's painful because we have this scene where sam is just looking at bucky while he's asleep, and he's terrified of losing him the way he's lost almost everybody important to him, and he tells himself that he'll be brave enough for both of them when bucky wakes up, but until then, he fears.
