Top five Robins?
I'm guessing this is referring to Batman/DC comics, which...unfortunately, I'm not a big enough fan of DC to know all the Robins. Or really any of them. I know there was Dick, but I only really know him because of the '60s TV show and movie. Sorry man, really wish I could do this one, but I just can't.

From Wash These Stones, sequel to to that loyal heart you're forever sixteen:
He glances over his shoulder; there’s an older man, his face weathered and crinkled, leaning against his staff. Chit Sang nods, his throat going dry. It’s a lie, and he’s certain the man can tell. He’s not okay, not in the slightest.

For the prompt game: L, X, and Z? :)
L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)
Runaan, for all his faults, is insanely tough. He absolutely refuses to break under all the pressure Viren puts on him. He only slips once, to tell Viren that he's terrified of the mirror Aaravos is trapped in, but that's it. Staying intact under that kind of interrogation isn't easy. I admire that.
X - A trope which you are almost certain to love in any fandom.
Villainous or otherwise antagonistic character, or any character who suffers a tragic loss, defeat, or whatever, gets a second chance and rises from their own ashes to become better and stronger than they were. If I see even an inkling of a story like that, I immediately latch onto it.
Z - Just ramble about something fan-related, go go go! (Prompts optional but encouraged.)
I...I don't think I have anything to ramble about at the moment, honestly. I'm just so goddamn tired right now🤣. Seriously, I am exhausted - not by the fandom, at least at the moment, although I am tired of seeing amazing fics not get the attention they deserve just because they're not a popular pairing or idea. I'll always be tired of that, I think.

Any of these Bookish Questions you want to answer: 4, 39, 45, 49? :)
4. What is a book series that everyone else loves but you do not?
Harry Potter. I just don't...I don't see it. Sorry guys, but I really just don't see it. Is it interesting? Yeah, definitely, and it's fun to read - but I just genuinely don't understand why people love it so much.
39. What book offended you?
Don't think I've found one yet, actually.
45. Do you own a poetry anthology? What is your favourite poem from it?
I don't think I own one? I'm not at home, so I can't check my bookshelf, but I don't recall owning one. (My favorite poem, though, is probably In Flanders Fields by John McCrae).
49. What book has inspired you?
Chasing the Demon: A Secret History of the Quest for the Sound Barrier, and the Band of American Aces Who Conquered It by Dan Hampton. It's about, as the title suggests, the quest to break the sound barrier, from the beginnings of powered flight to Chuck Yeager's flight in the Bell X-1 on October 14, 1947. And my god - I already knew I liked my major, aerospace engineering, but that book read like an adventure novel, and I ate it up. It pretty much reminded me that yes, you can make engineering an adventure - you just have to push the boundaries. And I really liked that.

For the writer ask game, Question 4 - what would this fic be about, based on the title?
'you thought so too, huh?'
Alright, so, I spent like...6-7 hours thinking about this, and came up with 7+ ideas for 3 different fandoms, but I'm gonna keep it simple and go with an ATLA idea.
This fic would be about a 'boy's night out' type thing between Aang, Sokka, and Zuko gone totally and completely wrong. I'm talking like 'Top Gear paints things on their cars and goes to Alabama' levels of holy shit this was a bad idea why would we ever think of this?
15-ish years post-war, Sokka convinces Aang and Zuko to drink cactus juice with him for the first time since the desert. It's totally fine because Mai and Azula can run the Fire Nation without him for a day or two, and there's no pressing issues for the world to deal with, anyways. It'll be just fine.
What follows is 3 days of absolute stupidity, including but not limited to:
7 fistfights.
1 high-speed police chase.
A jail breakout.
Volcano Fight II: Electric Boogaloo.
3 'Best Friends Forever' tattoos.
An accidental arson.
They somehow solve a missing persons case. No one understands how.
3 angry wives and one extremely cross Azula waiting for them when they do finally get back. ("Three days, Zuzu. That was what you told me. How the hell did you do all that in three days? Do you understand just how much shit you made me deal with?")
They only remember about 6 hours from that period with any certainty, but they're looking back on it, just smiling and giggling as they come down from their cactus-juice high, and Sokka can tell they thought it was an absolute blast, so he asks the question," You thought so, too, huh?"
They both nod. And proceed to tell him that they are never trying cactus juice again, and they are never telling this story to anyone - they can only remember about 6 hours of it with any certainty, anyways. Everything else is what others have said.
(Their kids find out anyways some time later. This turns into a multi-hour lecture from their wives, siblings, and in-laws about what not to do. All 3 are sitting their completely red-faced the entire time.)

35 questions for fanfic writers: 3, 6, 28, 33. :)
3. What do you think makes your writing stand out from other works?
I was told a while ago that I have a ‘real mastery over life’s little gut-punching moments’, so I would have to go with that. Most of my work has been missing scene moments, and almost all of it is stuff that’s small but makes all the difference in the world. And I write Smellershot which...really doesn’t happen all that much as a main pairing. So that’s another thing.
6. What element of writing do you find comes easily?
For me, it’s generally characters’ inner thoughts. I don’t know why - it took me a long time to get there, but now that I am, it just works. For most characters, anyways; there’s some that’s a bit of a struggle.
28. How well do you handle criticism when it comes to your writing?
I actually don’t get a whole lot of criticism on my fics. Once I learned how to properly deliver criticism, I realized that most people don’t actually know how to do it properly. So if it’s delivered poorly I usually just ignore it unless the person is making a good point, or if I see their point repeated by several people.
And having even one USMC drill instructor scream in your face about choosing to use the word ‘I’ (as in ‘I am’, ‘I will’, et cetera) will generally make you lose any and all fear of criticism you might have had. And I’ve had two DIs do that to me. At the same time. Yes, it was absolutely terrifying.
33. Is there anything you wish your audience knew about your writing or writing process?
I take a hell of a long time to write chapters of longfics not because I don’t have the ideas or a plan, but because I suck at finding time to write, especially during the school year. And sometimes I just don’t write because the words just...I’ll write them, but they just don’t feel right. And then I’ll end up restarting entirely.
Asks are from this list!

For the ship asks: Suki/Zuko, Jet/Mai
Suki/Zuko
I'm not opposed to the ship, but I don't ship it.
1. Quite frankly, the only reason I don't ship it is because I just plain don't see it. I just...I don't. I have no issue with people who do and I have no issue with the ship, I just don't see it. I don't think they have the chemistry or the personality to work well as a couple.
2. I think this answer is similar to my answer for Jinko, but to a lesser extreme. Seeing a little more of Suki would be helpful (she's really not in that many episodes, when you think about it), but what I would need before I could really say is to see more of their interactions.
3. The ship could be a pretty good, pretty hilarious segway for a 'sparring partners to lovers' trope. That's cheap, I know, and I am truly sorry, but I'm struggling with this one. I can't say anything negative, but I guess I have no strong feeling one way or the other.
Jet/Mai
I don't ship these two.
1. I just don't like it. As in, I actively dislike it. People talk about Maiko and hating the world together, but I think that's more of the healthy, joking 'hate the world'. Jet/Mai, I think, would take that and be a little destructive. I do not think they would have especially great chemistry especially as a couple. Maybe they could be okay friends, but a couple? I don't see it. At all.
2. I honestly don't think there's anything that could make me like it.
3. On the positive side, Jet would definitely keep Mai from being bored, which could and would be entertaining.
#krast answers asks#@bryndm#thanks for the ask!#i'm really sorry if i seem like an asshole you just picked two ships that i don't click with

Top five religious teachers?
Martin Luther King, Jr. (he was a pastor, he counts)
The current Dalai Lama. He's a pretty cool guy. I like him.
Pope Francis. Not perfect, but I like a lot of what he has to say. And even when I don't, it's always interesting and still makes me think.
That's...basically all of the religious teachers I know that are actually kinda cool. Most I don't know enough about (the Buddha, Muhammad, etc) or started out cool and ended up saying not-so-cool things (i.e. Martin Luther, as in the guy who started the Protestant Reformation; he ended up saying a lot of different people and groups should burn).
