Detective Lexa Woods hated stake outs with a passion. Sitting in a car for hours on end with bad coffee, the unhealthiest of foods and a rookie who would not shut his yap were about as fun for Lexa as a root canal. She didn’t get this far in her career by just sitting on her ass all day. However, sometimes the only way she could do her job correctly was by being thorough. So she leaned back in the driver’s seat, with a sigh as the brunette tried desperately to mute her temporary partner who would not stop bragging about his conquests. God she needed a new partner. Then again, Lexa was a lone wolf who had a difficult time keeping a work colleague. She was ready to kick this guy out of the car when an unfamiliar figure entered the warehouse the detectives were staking out. “Rodriguez! Shut up, we caught a lead.” Right then, Lexa opened the car door and carefully closed it, cautiously making her way towards the warehouse door.

“Harper?” Her voice was soft, hesitant. She’d rarely been hesitant with Harper before; even in the mountain when they both were scared out of their mind, when Harper was bruised and bloodied they were together in that, together united against the enemy. 

But now Harper was an ark guard now. She was growing from the pain. Moving on and making herself useful while Fox simply blended into the background and watched everyone move on. But she wanted to be better than that, she just... wasn’t entirely sure how. She had a vague idea though. “Do you think you could show me some of what you’ve been learning from Bellamy and Lincoln?” She was proud of herself that her voice didn’t waver on the trikru warrior’s name. Boyfriend to Octavia or not, he was still the enemy first and foremost in Fox’s mind.
