Before all of the hype happens when you release your Christmas chapter for The Lakes series tomorrow, I wanted to pop in to say how much I love your writing. You are my favourite Loki writer by far because you capture his essence perfectly, from his mannerisms to his body language, and from his snarkiness to his fragility. In fact, you're one of my favourite writers in general because your storytelling is second to none. I'm always immersed in your works, like I'm right there with the characters, experiencing all of the emotions on their journey.

Modesty is a virtue, or so they say... but every now and then you can put it aside. It is something of sentimental value that you cherish and your friendship with our favourite prefect can hardly be denied. So it's just a little something I can give you, but I hope you like it anyway. I don't think I need to tell you which of the puppets is which. I'm really proud of puppet Elland and William's hair, if I may say so. They look so cute that I almost kept them for myself!

I've given you two keychains in case you want to attach the dolls to something.

The Merriest of Christmases to you and your brother! I wish you both wonderful celebrations, good presents, and merry winter holidays!

The puppets do resemble me and Will a lot, thank you, I love them! And not just because the hair is spot on both in colours and shape. You put your soul into them in the process of creation and it really shows. I do trust you enough to not give us some kind of voodoo dolls.

I wonder which one Will will take... You probably think that he is self-absorbed and likes himself a little too much but it's not (fully) true. He might act that way and he might say things that he says but it is not really who William is. He is kind and even with all his "a favour for a favour" talk he is more than capable of doing a good deed without anything in return. I think he just tricks himself half the time into thinking that everything has to be measured, every question has an answer, every helpful action should be rewarded with equal support.

Perhaps he was just brought up that way and this is his way of making sure people do not just take advantage of him. Quite a different approach from what Allegra utilizes but still valid. I've seen his notes. He lets things slide more often than he'd like people to know.

But I don't want to give away too much. Merry Christmas, once again! I do not have a present for you at the moment but once we are back at Hogwarts, I can perhaps play you something, anything on my lute. I'm sure there are some tunes you'd enjoy dancing to or singing! Er, you too, Pascal. Happy holidays!

I haven't really caught the Christmas spirit this year - there's been a good bit of stress and turmoil in the house, money's super tight, and we really haven't even gotten any fall/winter temperatures so far - so it just really hasn't felt Christmas-y for me at all. All that aside though, it's the family and friends that are most important to me, and although it's a bit late now, I really want to wish all of you, my followers and friends, a very happy and hearty Christmas Eve and the Merriest of Christmases possible...or, of course, whatever holiday you happen to observe.
