Nikolina Appreciation Week 2023 ♛ Day 2: Favourite AU - Sankta Alina & Sankt Nikolai

Ever since their first fateful meeting, Sankta Alina and Sankt Nikolai were drawn to each other's courage, kindness, and shared sense of purpose. Over time, their devout friendship blossomed into a deep and abiding love.

Their true test came when the Shadow Fold, began to spread across Ravka, threatening to engulf the entire land in eternal darkness. Along the way, despite enduring many perils, Sankta Alina and Sankt Nikolai never lost faith in each other or the sight of their duty. In the end, they succeeded in destroying the Shadow Fold and saving Ravka.

Alas, their victory came at a great cost. Both Sankta Alina and Sankt Nikolai were mortally wounded in the final battle but even as their bodies failed them, their spirits remained unbroken. Their love and legacy endured even beyond death. They have become revered as the patron saints of Ravka and protectors of its people.

it's really annoying when people play a video game with multiple choice and you can have a character take a wildly different arc with every play through depending on what choices you make in game, and they give a character a villain arc and then that character is just a villain in any context or conversation about the game. then they get mad at people who made different choices and therefore had a different experience with the same character, as you do in a MULTIPLE CHOICE game, and act like you're "problematic" for liking the version of the character you got with your choices. like, my guy. you CHOSE that path. YOU made them someone you don't like. that's on YOU. literally fuck all the way off. every character in this game has problematic options and negative qualities. that's how the game works.

Kalani and Vesper walked side by side. Their hands lightly brushed here and there, but neither one dared to grab hold. In moments like these, patience was a virtue. Their date had gone well, neither was ready to say goodnight! That's how the two found themselves in the park. The sun was descending towards the horizon, golden hour was upon them. It was like the universe wanted them to have their picture-perfect moment. "We really did get a perfect day for this," Kalani mused, "I'm glad I asked you out tonight. I waited so long because we're friends, and... I've had such an amazing time teaching you ballet- you're doing amazing, but the way, you pick up so quick!- I didn't want to make things awkward! But seeing you so often I just... you know I had to at least try,"

"And I'm glad you did!" Vesper had been on the verge of asking Kalani out herself, but every time they wanted to, the timing didn't seem right, "And I'm glad that you kept inviting me to your performances and I'm glad you offered to teach me," "Of course!" Kalani glanced at Vesper, the glow of the setting sun lit up like a halo around his face and Kalani had to force herself to look away. If she had stared any longer she would've lost all train of thought, "I-hmm... I still think it's sad that your parents didn't let you learn when you were younger, I think anybody who wants to learn should,"

"It is what it is," Vesper shrugged, "But if I had learned when I was younger, I wouldn't have met you,"

"Everything happens for a reason, right?" Kalani smiled, finally taking hold of Vesper's hand, lacing their fingers together.

Something as simple as holding hands was enough to make her heart race. She couldn't help it, she was in love! After one date! Well, one date and countless interactions, numerous small touches, and the shared intimacy of dancing.

"After this, let's go home," Kalani spoke again, too in the moment to realize that she implied her home was one they shared together, "We'll put on a movie, snuggle up on the couch-" "The date that never ends," Vesper laughed and it was music to Kalani's ears. She wanted to make her laugh! And to make her smile! And blush! "I like that," Kalani chirped, "That's perfect, you can spend the night tonight and we'll keep this date going for as long as we can," "Oh I didn't- well okay! No yeah, that's what we'll do then!"

I need to talk to someone who doesn’t like TS. Cause everyone I know irl does. Im exhausted by her. She’s everywhere. Shops? Playing her music. Radio? Her songs on. Friends playlists? You bet they’re filled with TS. Fanfic or edit? Taylor songs referenced constantly (most of the time her lyrics are taken out of context cause the song itself doesn’t make sense). I just tried to watch a hair style tutorial I wanted to try. Taylor song playing in the background. She’s all over my suggested pages on my social media no matter how many accounts I block. It feels like I block one and two more appear. I probably wouldn't hate Swift as much as I do if I hadn't been overwhelmed by having to hear or see her everywhere I went in real life or online. Her fans are ridiculous and deranged. I feel like I’m going insane sometimes.
