hello! I've been getting into astrology lately, and I've been wondering if you knew how I could find out about my star charts? or some explanations or tips to understand it better.

hii to generate astrology charts, i usually use astro.com!

go to astro.com, choose extended chart selection, then put in your birth data.

the chart type is already "natal chart wheel" so you just need to choose click here to show the chart to get your natal/birth chart.

if you're looking for other types of chart (e.g. solar return chart, persona chart, etc.) you can change the chart type.

if you want to see where the asteroids are placed in your chart, scroll down to additional objects and type its code number or name in manual entry. they also instruct you how to type there.

i recommend the only astrology book you'll ever need - joanna martine woolfolk. super basic, super beginner-friendly, very easy to understand.

aspects in astrology - sue tompkins. helped me understand aspects a lot better. has good analogies that will just stick to your head lol pretty memorable.

the essential guide to practical astrology - april elliott kent. again, very beginner-friendly and informative.

these are just some books i've read. for more you can search up google or tumblr for more, there are a lot of great books out there <3

use google, search up your placements like "mars in 1st house" and also read forums, youtube has great astrology content too.

just one search and so much of posts will show up. follow astrology blogs, interact with them, make friends, learn together!

let them know that you're studying astrology (if you want to), ask them for their birth data, make them a chart and observe them! see what traits they have in common and what placements may be the cause of it. read for them! maybe interview them as well.

♥︎ observe people ♥︎

celebrities - there are some with confirmed birth time and some don't, but you can still make a chart and make observations. even people you aren't very close, see if there's something about them (like maybe they are hardworking, or maybe you find them annoying, just anything and then try to find out why in their birth chart).

♥︎ take handwritten notes ♥︎

this can be applied to studying anything as well. handwritten notes are better than typing since you write slower so you can ponder every single word. it would also be better to write what you understand instead of copying everything down.

have a notebook for astrology. doesn't have to look aesthetic, just write anything you find interesting or important things you learn from the book or even the internet. oooh make yourself a cheat sheat!

♥︎ don't try to memorize everything, try to recall ♥︎

another studying tip in general.

you could write what you remember before checking your notes. or just recall them in your head.

ooh and when you know a thing or two about the zodiac signs, try guessing people's signs. you'll remember the traits so much better and it's pretty fun when you get them right. i did this with jujutsu kaisen characters and i'm pretty sure gege sensei (the author) knows astrology sksnjs

♥︎ you don't have to learn everything from the top to bottom, just learn what interests you most and learn slowly one by one ♥︎

for example with learning the zodiac signs, learn your sign first then maybe read about the signs of your close friends and family, etc.

♥︎ and lastly, just have fun! learn when you want to, don't put pressure on yourself <3 ♥︎

p/s: keep in mind that astrology does not determine your life, you do. and bad placements are there for you to overcome, not dwell on it!

before i dive into this, i just want to say that north node isn't counted in a stellium, so you'd just have mars and uranus in 8th house, not an 8th house stellium!

i know 8th house has such a scary reputation haha but like all things, there's a fair share of good and bad with an 8th house stellium.

✿ 8th house in a solar return chart shows shared resources, finances, other people's money, transformations, and sex.

in general, an 8th stellium could bring you a lot of transformations and opportunities to gain money from others.

✿ mars shows your outward energy, actions, what you're passionate about during the year.

✿ uranus shows unexpected or sudden changes, your urges for freedom, and disruptions.

with uranus in 8H you could have monetary issues with others (such as debt or a start/ending of a joint bank account), sudden gains or loss of money, and you might feel the urge to be independent take control over your finances on your own as well.

mars in 8H could have you initiate the changes, a lot of energy poured into transforming or finance, and you could even have disruption in sex life.

and finally, north node in 8H will give you a lesson. you might learn something from financially dealing with others, from the transformations you may undergo, even a change of perspective on death and sex.

i'm just listing all the possibilities, the rest of the chart can affect this and the SR chart in comparison to your natal chart will give you more information!

just going to paste the definition i had for 8H from the other post here real quick:

✿ 8th house in a solar return chart shows shared resources, finances, other people's money, transformations, death, and sex.

✿ sun is your primary focus for the year.

this year you will be going through major transformations. you may be regenerating into a new you. bad habits and old ways of thinking will be rid of. there will also be more financial issues involving other people (debts, inheritance, contracts, agreements,etc) both good and bad. you may want to look after to your health as well, since there could be some dangerous situations or accidents, or even psychological/mental problems.

✿ venus shows how you love, relationships, romance, your aesthetic, and attraction for the year. and also how you handle money.

this could be beneficial for your finances this year, helping you attract money. you may prefer intense and intimate relationships rather than shallow, superficial ones. and you might seek pleasure in sex as well. you may meet someone new if you're single or love will be different for you and your partner. you could meet people with dark and mysterious aura to them too.

since venus is on the cusp between 8H/9H i will also interpret for venus in 9H.

you might enjoy philosophical topics, gaining knowledge and learning different perspectives. you'll feel more inclined to travel to different places and meetings with new people/love interests could happen during travels. this could also show meetings with foreign people or people with different backgrounds (and possibly falling in love with them if you're single).

✿ mercury is the way you communicate, think, and learn.

you may find your mind wandering in deep thoughts about death and rebirth, generally dark/taboo subjects, and also about money. 8H mercury will make it easier for you to think and talk about it, and you may want to learn more about it too. but beware of being too obsessed with them that it mentally exhausts you. besides that, you will be getting rid of old ways of thinking and replacing them with new ones. and you could also be more interested in spirituality and the occult.

these are just possibilities, it's not definitive, so don't take it too seriously <3 especially with the health thing - everyone should always look out for their health at all times ofc! take care 💗

hey! this kind of overlapped with the solar return observations i was working on so i was kinda saving it for when that's done but jsbsjs i'm just gonna answer this now :)

as always, these are just some observational indicators. take it with a grain of salt <3

notes. i use placidus house system for this !

—solar return chart on its own:

✈️ uranus in 4H

♡ indicates home move.

📚 sun in 9H

♡ shows focus in traveling and/or higher education that year.

✈️ 4H uranus in opposition to jupiter

📚 active 4H, 9H, and 12H

♡ 4H rules residency, 9H rules long travels & higher education, and 12H rules foreign lands.

✈️ 9H lord aspecting 4H lord

♡ ex. 9H cusp in virgo = mercury is the 9H lord, similarly, look at 4H lord and see if they aspect each other.

📚 uranus in 6H

♡ not necessarily indicates going abroad but does indicates a change in daily routine, which could result from going abroad.

✈️ SR 9H cusps conjunct natal moon

📚 SR ascendant in natal 9H

that's all i have for this! i'd say check the transits as well and of course there are other factors that would affect this (e.g. financial situation, family, your decisions, etc.) so don't take this too seriously <33

✿ 2nd house generally shows financial security, money, value, possessions, and income.

having pisces moon in 2H may bring out your emotional need for financial security. you may feel the urge to make money and be economically secure this year. there could be a lot of dependency and instability to your finance as well.

neptune in 2H once again contributes to this uncertainty and adds fluctuations in your money/income. you may find it hard to manage money this year and since neptune also shows deception and lies, you might want to be careful of losing money due to theft or deceptions.

on the other hand, 2H neptune can help you gain money through spirituality (e.g. law of attraction/law of assumption).

moon conjunct neptune might heighten your sensitivity, especially towards others' moods and energies. it's possible that you are emotionally drained due to this. watch out for fear, anxiety, disillusionment, especially escapism tendency. since they are in 2H, be careful of having a idealistic view of your financial situation that you end up ignoring what is actually happening.

like always, don't take my words too seriously. there are lots of different possibilities depending on the rest of the chart + when compared to your natal chart :)

with venus in the first house and in exact conjunction with ascendant, yes it's likely that you'll have a glow up this year!

especially with venus (and ascendant) square pluto that indicates a major transformation. venus trine moon, you might feel better about your appearance, or liking the way you look. venus trine saturn and jupiter, there's growth and you being more mature in the way you view yourself/your appearance/self-image.

having your ascendant and venus both in a leo degree (17°), i feel like you could feel more confident in your beauty as well.

hi! I came across your posts on solar return charts and I have a question I struggle to find the answer to anywhere online - when looking at the ruler of the ASC of the SR chart through the natal chart, would you recommend to take the traditional ruler instead of modern ruler into account? (ex; pisces being ruled both by neptune and jupiter) or is it better taking them both into consideration?

hi! thanks for stopping by :) i personally take both of them into consideration although i'd put a bit more importance on modern rulers. just cuz it doesn't hurt to have a little more info and maybe when you observe your charts you can see which ones you relate to better!
