Everything about this. Gilliatt. Deruchette. Mess Lethierry. The burying of the lead of the character who's gonna steal (and crash) the Durande. THE DURANDE HERSELF. Gilliatt's pegasus little boat that he won in a race. The landscape. The rock seat that kills people (stupid priests that don't pay attention to the tides). Everything is incredible. I just wish there were more rocks

oh theres intermissions in this movie. ok. gonna honor them and take 15 minutes

honestly so far, despite the fact that I speak no more than literally four words of russian. I understand almost everything that's going on

AND this movie is great. I genuinely cannot believe someone actually made this. I'm having a hell of a time

so if i understand correctly, in the movie mess lethierry just purchased the Durande right now and she has just arrived at the port

and they made a huge fanfare about it and they're about to attach the figure to the prow

and if you've read the book you might be getting emotional just by looking at her beautiful ugly disproportionate paddles and ugly silhouette 🥰
