#yesss love this from Betty#this is great like a lot of the military side of the cast’s subplots to the Hulk’s main plots have had to do with intense scenarios#like Talbot being imprisoned in Russia for example#so I appreciate this simple character-focused conversation which I genuinely find interesting#/love/ Betty pushing against Talbot trying to protect her from the knowledge of his struggles#‘I’m not some fragile dresden doll to be protected for fear she’ll break!’#honestly her pushing back against this feels like the first time she’s ever taken control of something like#in the past she has been treated as an object for other characters to fight over and either endanger or protect#and she has been written as fragile like with all her faintings#and I like see her trying to approach this as equal partners in a marriage that support each other#which is stepping out of the role that she’s been constrained to in the past#like she is trying to be a Person in the midst of this unfortunate pocket of the Marvel universe she inhabits#she is trying to not be a plot device#marvel#betty ross#glenn talbot#my posts#comic panels
