Autumn ✨🍂🧸

One thing about me: I love autumn 🤎

I know it's not autumn yet (calendar vise nor weather vise) BUT it's September and that's good enough for me!

I love wearing sweaters and hot tea and candles and blankets. Just everything warm and cosy.

TV shows/films:

Gilmore girls🍂☕️: this is a MUST HAVE! I just love how aesthetic this series is! I always am very motivated to study after summer break (even tho my school year/semester starts almost in October) the way Rory studies and reads keeps me motivated for a longer time✨.

Supernatural🤎🧸: having Dean and Sammy hunt monsters and ghosts is more of a Halloween vibe but the spookyness is just perfect for those cosy evenings! (But a slightly warning: If you love Gilmore girls as much as myself, well... you may not be content about their names, I'm two seasons in and tbh I still call Sam Dean – when I talk about the series, haha)

Harry Potter⚡️🍁: I'm a potter girly so this is another MUST HAVE. I usually read one book from the series and than watch those films, I also start this rewatch/reread almost at the end of November, because it just has a certain magic spell of christmas in it.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina🎃🐈‍⬛: It's been a few years since I've seen this show but I still liked it very much (however I think I didn't like the ending... but I'm not so sure anymore 😄)

victor  “ vic “   santiago  (  aka luna’s dad  )  is a  famous lead singer in a rock band .  think steven tyler from aerosmith ! !  so basically , growing up she’s been constantly surrounded by  GOOD  80s rock music  &  being on the road which definitely shaped her personality .

luna’s mother  ,  a groupie  ,  is someone who followed the band around on the road for numerous years , but vic never took her seriously  (  only took them to bed )   &  the only reason she even got pregnant with luna is because vic wanted a child , knowing he would most likely never marry .

soooo , incomes luciana “ luna “ santiago ,  his pride  &  joy  , his  MOON .  yes , he actually calls her that bc he’s always had an obsession with the stars   &  constellations .  tbh luna’s been the love / light of vic’s life from the moment she was born , adored by not only her dad , but the band , team  &  fans too !

family friends ! !  someone who could know  EVERYTHING  about her life n be there for her like pls .

someone who is her  HOME .  it doesn’t have to be potentially romantic just someone who makes her feel completely safe , warm  &  protected  ? ?    they can also just…talk, and make each other laugh  &   smile, because they feel comfortable enough in themselves  &   with each other to be vulnerable in that way ? ?  some fluff never hurt nobody .

tbh exes she cheated on , exes that cheated on her , fwb of all kinds , crushes , childhood friends , good / bad influence on her dumb ass would be good , gossip queens n kings , party friends , enemies for whatever reason , etc ! !

Thinking about this because it's Halloween.

I was a kid the first time I watched the charmed Halloween episode where they go back in time and there was a moment in the beginning of the episode when Piper is being happy and enthusiastic about her Glinda costume (and also the fact that she's got Leo back,like Dean getting dressed up like a cowboy after Cas comes back from the empty).

Anyway Phoebe comments that you never know what you're celebrating when you celebrate Halloween cue conversations/articles/discourse etc. About the traditions and cultural beliefs about Saints Day and All Hallows Eve. The episode actually gets into this though it's not v accurate

And to Phoebe's comment, Piper replies "Details!"

And she just means that's an unimportant detail and she's not going to worry over the cultural meaning of Halloween because she just wants to have fun with Leo tonight.

But ever since I was a kid I took it to mean Piper was declaring Halloween to be a celebration of details, which if you think about it, is actually a pretty accurate interpretation of Halloween as celebrated in the US today. From the costumes to the decorations to the horror movies, we're very much into appreciation of aesthetics during the spooky season and I really love that

As well as the cultural background and traditions of course. Who says you can't have it both ways?
